    It comes down to the inspiration of the bible. It's not Paul's words; it's God's words and his design. And He ties His words back to Genesis.

      Yes it is to Paul's words. Jesus came to Paul and told him, face to face!! the MYSTERY that has been hidden before the beginning of the WORLD!! The BODY of CHRIST!! We are in the AGE of GRACE! Peter the apostle of the Jews and the Law. Paul is the apostle to the gentiles and the AGE OF GRACE. 2 Timothy 2:15!! Eph 2:8-9! STUDY!!

    3:45 “if you can liberate women... why can’t you liberate everyone else” great question. What are they being liberated from?

    • @cordsman
      @cordsman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Liberal churches would see them being liberated from things like the patriarchy which they say Paul exemplifies.

    Pentecostals lean upon their experience. God has greatly used women therefore we must find a way to interpret scripture to allow women in pastoral roles. "Got has greatly used gay couples so therefore we must find a way..." That is obviously where we are going. Thank you for standing for the Scriptures.

    If only Mohler had spent as much time studying the Bible's warnings about wolves as he did policing who’s allowed in the pulpit, maybe he’d have noticed Pressler was leading a different kind of 'conservative resurgence".

    Yes, it's a slippery slope. Treat women as equals and before you know it respect breaks out all over the place.

    This is a simplistic conclusion. One must go to neo orthodoxy to see PCUSA view of Scripture. There are examples of women in leadership in Scripture but none of lgbtq

    Is it not true, when you interpret the scripture (1 Cor 11:2-16), as women don't have to cover their hair in the Church service calling it to be Paul's view and not scripture, so we see the same problem with women ordination, LGBTQ even Homosexual priest and bishops. We see Churches in the western world where women attend Church services bare-headed, once you open up the gates of Hell then what do you expect?

    • @phun1901
      @phun1901 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Attending church is fine. It specifically says when a woman prays or prophesies she should cover her head, for the sake of the angels.

    Yep progress is definitely not biblical. Get em bro. Why would God want equality, freedom, human rights, societal well-being, and healthy discourse? Nope just stick with those scriptures.

    • @jessethomas3979
      @jessethomas3979 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not every change is progress. We want equality, freedom, human rights, societal well being and healthy discourse because we stick with scripture. That's why even if inequality, bondage, disregard for human rights, societal ill being and unhealthy discourse become popular and even if the world is moving towards that, we would still want the opposite because we stick with scripture.

    • @debrawehrly9551
      @debrawehrly9551 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      nonchalantguy, I agree with you! The freedom, equality and societal well being that we strive for and often take for granted are ideals brought forth from the Enlightenment. Those are renaissance, humanistic values that have brought democratic governments, social reforms, equality of people including women, even animal welfare.

      I'm sorry. Are we looking for salvation according to man or The Most High when Christ returns? Are we looking at Pauls teachings as his philosophies and understandings or the interpretations of the teachings of The Most Highs laws, standards and commandments? I don't study the bible like its a how to book of man's suggestions to live a better life but rather, to receive eternal life when Christ returns to judge each and everyone of us based upon if He finds us worthy. Paul is teaching nothing different from what The Most High expected from us at creation and what Christ taught in order to receive eternal life. He nor His Word have changed but we just keep trying to change what He wants so that we can live our lives the way we want to live and receive I mediated gratification today. If He says what the carnal mind and body wants and desires is not holy in His Word why would He bless us with eternal life?

    What the law in churches cannot be applied to the Holy Scriptures... It is written by Paul and was ordained by God to write. Follow it without any explanation what is written in the Holy bible. Don't mislead people for this. Whatever written in the bible its true and need to follow even we are in modern world or what.... Its a prophecy of the living God. It was written in revelation " l warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them.God will add in him the plaques described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of the prophecy.God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.Amen.

    Mary Magdalene was an Apostle to the Apostle and Paul was a self styled “disciple“. This man is an evil. He hides behind the sinful to teach his malignant ways.

      @scottspeig 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@magatism Wow - That seems a little harsh.
      Of the 13 instances of Mary Magdelene in scripture, not once is she mentioned as an Apostle. Let alone an Apostle to the Apostle (whatever that actually means) or Paul.
      I kindly suggest you read the bible.

    • @magatism
      @magatism 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scottspeig Jesus didn't call his disciples as Apostles, that title was given to them by others, except in case of Paul who conferred that on himself. The societal norms in those days bypassed Mary as an Apostle but the fact remains that she was the one who brought the greatest Gospel of the times to other disciples, that of the ressurection of Christ. That literally makes her the Apostle to the Apostles.
      Jesus himself endorsed her choice as the right one and though he did not send her away to preach, she served the living alter till the very end, even when all the so called Apostles had fled for their life
      All scriptures, all prophets, all laws find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ and may you like it or not, you will not deny what God chose, the cast away stone which the builders refused is to become the head stone of the corner.

      Proclaiming the Good News (aka evangelizing or the Great Comission) is not the same as exercising spiritual authority over a congregation (including men) - which is the context where apostle Paul discusses the topic of women's ordination and which is the topic under consideration here. This argument that you bring forward is the same as Rick Warren's, and it's very simplistic and ultimately based on false logic.
