    Everyone should avoid tanning, regardless of your skin tone! No one is immune to melanoma and other skin cancers. Wear your sunscreen!
    Hope this helps and thank you to my 500K friends here on TH-cam! See you guys here every Saturday at 9am PT/12pm ET!

    My friend used tanning beds all her life. She is 51 now and I will never forget we went to a store and someone asked her if she wanted the senior discount. I felt so embarrassed for her but I’ve been telling her for years to stop using them. She’s also has a very fair complexion so she burns easily and she is always red but swore she was tan. It’s addicting for some people.

    Tanning salons were huge when I was young, you could find one in every single strip mall everywhere. My dad told me often I should go because my legs were so white, but luckily that wasn't one of my insecurities and I never went. I can't believe tanning beds are still a thing.

      I went in tanning beds twice a week for 7 years I became addicted to it I quit when I was 22, I didn't start wearing sunscreen daily until I was 35. My Aunt has been tanning outside and uses tanning beds at least once a week for decades and she is only 63 and she looks 90 and her skin looks like leather it doesn't even look like real skin. I got serious with my daily sunscreen after I hadn't seen her in about 15 years and saw how horrible her skin looks.

    I fake n baked 😂 all through my 30s but stopped by 40, then went to spray tanning. That gives you instant gratification 😂 but it has its issues too. Now I just use self tanners as they've come a long way. I'm 58 and definitely saved my skin, but I know there's probably some damage from that decade of tanning 😮
    PS: I use sunscreen as a make-up base then use spray sunscreen as a setting spray. I always, always have a glow and get compliments 😆

    What would the reason(s) of not choosing a tinted sunscreen over a non-tinted sunscreen?
    a tinted sunscreen would be the better choice no?

    Do you have an opinion on the articles online that say chemical sunscreens with ingredients like avobenzone, octinoxate, oxybenzone, etc can be found in the bloodstream after being applied to the skin and can disrupt hormones? Do you think its actually something to be concerned about or not

    • @MilkshakeGirl133
      @MilkshakeGirl133 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't think it's a concern because they sit on the surface of your skin and don't penetrate the deeper layers.

    how did people 100 years ago survive? Agriculture employed 80% of men at the time and I've never heard of the majority of yet population dying of melanoma. I'm not denying it's cancer causing but what has changed?

    • @jwoo222
      @jwoo222 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The life expectancy (in general) has indeed by an average of about 20 years since 1924. Agricultural workers probably did have skin cancer, but maybe they didn’t live along enough to die from it. (Or maybe they did die from it.)
