What gives my skin a glow is the liiitllextra riceberry serum and face moisturizer cream set. I put it on daily, in the morning and evening, and it makes my skin glow and keeps my skin hydrated. It is acne-safe and feels lightweight. This combination has lightened my spots and helped with pigmentation over the last two months. You should try it out.
Great video. I am a ROC customer for the last nine years and have been really happy with their line. I, too, was bad on using suntan lotion when I was younger because having a tan was healthy and beautiful….sigh! Enjoy your day 🌺😎🫶🏻💕
I love the Cerave Vitamin C and use it every day with the La Roche Posay Toleraine Double Repair with sunscreen. For a retinoid I love the Avene .05 Retrinal....it is gentle but effective and can be used every day. Also, it includes squalane and does not include dimethicone. Win/win
I cant stop watching all your videos coz i am learning a lot! I know now what to buy for my skin care routine and how to use them❤thank God I found your vlog. thank you so much dr. More videos pls. God bless you more.
Hey handsome doctor i just purchased the roc serum with retinol starting slowly but for sure . Im 33 yrs old and having lots of skin issues already sadly but its real life ❤
I use an extra drop of ROC retinol on the backs of my hands. The dark age spots are fading. Thanls for the information on usimg vitamin C serum on the backs of hands
Thank you for these informative series. I started AlpaRet and Alto just over a month ago based on your reviews. Because I’ve been on various creams/lotions for 8 years trying to rid facial brown spots, I started off with the Intensive formulas and glad I did, experiencing no irritation or dryness. My goal was to rid brown circles and spots so I was shocked how the small black things (look like imbedded hairs) on my nose disappeared! I was embarrassed because it made my skin look “dirty.” I was doubly amazed how clean my pores look - I don’t notice them anymore. Completely unexpected! I started noticing what looked like more brown patches and spots emerge and realized that the skin overall has been lightening, making the discoloration more visible. I’m so happy with the overall benefits to my skin (I had to think twice about the expense as I’m a real skeptic after years of purchasing expensive brands that did nothing). I can tell that good things are happening to my 70+ skin that I abused in my younger years out of ignorance. I’m encouraged that my brown spots and patches will lighten over the next 6+ months and plan to continue with these products. By the way, the sunscreen compact is an easy to carry touch up when I’m out and about, in a car or plane. ❤ My overall skin texture feels soft and dewy, non greasy. I can’t believe the changes I’m seeing in just over a month. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and various products!
Wow 😍, such a useful video!! ❤🧡I like BLACK PEARL creams, great effect, although they can be hard to find. I personally get them from Dead sea shop, where the discounts are nice.😋😋🤩
Strange. I’ve never been lucky enough to have a Derm that cares. My doctor had nothing to say absolutely my melasma. I suggested Retinal and got a prescription. He didn’t tell me how to use or using sunscreen. All he said was that it’s expensive. ? I didn’t even bother asking about other issues I had.
Thank you for another helpful video. Working on increasing my retinol use but currently using the YTTP one since it’s not tested on animals and not too strong 🙈
Thank you, I really enjoy watching your videos. I've been hearing talk about this new Korean skin care product "Active Cream EX" made by Riman. Can you pleasssse make a video about this product.
I’ve been on Tretinoin 5 months every night my age spots haven’t faded yet. It’s brought out freckles on my cheeks. I’m 47, I use La Roche Posay sunscreen and vit C serum now. B3 and Hydraloc daily and eye cream. Will my pigment fade or is Tret not working?
I love all your video and I'm a fan of yours I have this undereye kind of batchs and rashes since i was 15 and now am 24 😢 i have tried every other product out there but nah Can you recommend something for or do a video about that, is so annoying have those stuffs on my face at such a young age
Dr Sugai would you pls make a video telling us if the store brands of .1% adapalene are just as good as the brand Differin because prices vary so much... I have mature skin
Hi there! Love your videos but my issue with Maelove are the fragrant essential oils. How can that be good for your skin? I am so allergic to fragrant essential oils hence why I am unable to use Maelove. Wondering your thoughts on Maelove Vit C serum causing allergic rx or sensitivity due to those essential oils?
The information you share on your channel is so helpful 🥰 I was wondering what you thought of this product from Lubriderm. It's the Daily Moisture lotion with Ceramides, would you recommend this lotion for sensitive skin? Thank you Dr. Sugai 💕
I have not! I have never been a fan of subscription based companies that give products with a bunch of great ingredients at very small percentages (sub therapeutic IMO)
Hello Doc, please assist if you can. Would really appreciate it. I bought the Eucerin Vit C because of the good packaging but did not realize that it was fragranced (I didn't have my reading glasses with me and those letters are so small) and fragranced products irritates my skin. Currently I am handling tretinoin, 0,05%, every other night, on top of my moisturizer, very well. I first started off with the Cerave in your video and now I am using the last little Cerave for the back of my hands and under my eyes and eyelids. In the mornings I just wash with water and add hyaluronic acid and then my sunscreen and I reapply every two hours. Sunday nights I do, The Ordinary AHA+BHA peeling solution. Do I still require like a salicylic or glycolic acid and do I require a Vit C, if my main target is anti-aging, textured, redness and slight pigmentation? If so, please kindly add your recommendations. So much thanks in advance. 🙏🏽
Do you have moisturizer recommendations for mature normal/dry skin? I'm 53, non smoker, non makeup wearer, I have been mixing in castor oil with my current moisturizer. Thank you
Im always looking on your vlog. I not comment that much but now I would like to ask what is the best skin care I can use im in 30 I have pimples and small dark patches of dark spot. I hope you can recommend me something I got sensitive skin
Dr. Sugai, you said tinted sunscreen helps prevent hyperpigmentation in people of color. What does people of color mean in this context? Anyone who’s not of European heritage?
It’s a tough area to treat given sensitive skin of eyelids can’t handle an exfoliant or retinoid so def need to see your dermatologist for manual extraction! It’s quite a common issue around the eyes!
can you use a retinol and tretnoin at the same time on the same night. Or can you use them simultaneously in ur skincare routine but on different nights. Like retinol one night and tretnoin the next night? Or would you recommend not to use both at the same time at all and just stick to one?
Hello my friend- CeraVe has not disclosed the percentage of their retinol yet. I know other companies are coming around to disclosing like Neutrogena’s new regenerating cream. We shall see if they end up refreshing the retinol and showing the percentage in the future
If you mix the tretinoin with a moisturizer before applying to your face, will you get the same benefits as applying the tretinoin separately? Also, can I apply tretinoin with the moisturizer after applying all the other serums first for same results?
I had wondered the same thing about mixing Tretinoin with a moisturizer, but I read via another dermatologist that they don’t recommend that. Instead, you can apply a thin film of moisturizer before the Tretinoin, let that dry, then apply the Tretinoin. I’ve been using the Skin1004 Centella intensive ampule serum to protect my skin before applying Tretinoin. After the Tretinoin, I also apply a light moisturizer.
I don’t understand the difference between tinted sunscreen and regular sunscreen. I can only tolerate mineral ones so I don’t know if that’s even and option
I'm 57 and use a peptide serum. Should i substitute VitC for this? Or in addition to? And if both, does it matter which one is applied first? Thx in advance.
Use vitamin C in the morning followed by your peptide serum. Vitamin c is very good for collagen production and hyperpigmentation. Peptides can be use at night also, after retinols.
The night cream has glycolic acid and ascorbic acid. The other fragrance free cream has ascorbic acid and a vit c derivative. The capsules don't have fragrance or any other active ingredient.
Definitely have not come across this at all. Tretinoin can help with hair loss when paired with minoxidil. Oral retinoids like isotretinoin though can cause temporary reversible hair loss
Hi Dr. Daniel. How do you do this skin care routine? Do you use this all three at the same time? If so which one is first to put on your face? Or is there any particular time of the day to use each product? Sorry for my english. Thanks.
You should try it out.
i only use two things on my face: riceberry face serum and rice berry moisturizer. they provide me the essential radiance and moisture
I always find your videos interesting, down to earth and helpful. Thank you !
That means so much to me! Thank you!!
Plz cream for depigmentation 🎉
Great video. I am a ROC customer for the last nine years and have been really happy with their line. I, too, was bad on using suntan lotion when I was younger because having a tan was healthy and beautiful….sigh! Enjoy your day 🌺😎🫶🏻💕
Your skin is absolutely gorgeous, Dr. Sugai. You are a testament, not just verbally, but by example, of what good skin care will do. 🙂
Great stuff Doc! Your skin is beautiful! And I must admit, you are GORGEOUS!!!!
I really enjoy watching your videos. Your product recommendations are helpful. For older women, what are the must haves?
I'd see his anti-aging videos/shorts. He's also got shorts on skincare in your 50s.
We love your advice, Doc! Thanks so much for your continued voice of reason in the sometimes confusing and overwhelming world of skincare😊👍
The Inky List has a vitamin c+e serum at 15% for 20$ Canadian. The covergirl night has a 10% serum that's 15$.
We appreciate you for sharing this with us

Very Helpful Dr. Daniel!!!
Thank You so much and GOD BLESS YOU and Yours.
perhaps you can do a video of treating acne scars? what are yor thoughts of dermabrasion kits vs chemical peels, vs laser resurfacing?
I use an extra drop of ROC retinol on the backs of my hands. The dark age spots are fading. Thanls for the information on usimg vitamin C serum on the backs of hands
I use Timeless vitamin C,E and ferulic acid serum.
Been using for years and definitely recommend 😊
The Ordinary's brand new Retinal is amazing! Wondering what you would think of it.

I find tinted mineral sunscreens with Zinc, but I can’t find the tinted mineral sunscreens with Iron? Is there a difference?
Can i use this 3 item at the same time? How often do i need to use retinol and vitamin c? Tnx
Thank you!!!!
Thank you for watching!
I don’t understand the difference between tinted sunscreen and regular sunscreen. I can only tolerate mineral ones so I don’t know if that’s even and option
I have the sun tash each summer (UK based)
Should I be using tinted sunscreen for it rather than just normal UVA/UVB.
I'm white and very freckly
I can't handle the retinoids and C because of my sensitive skin. 😧☹
What about the Maelove retinaldehyde serum? Is that a good one?
Their Moonlight serum is great!
Can you pleeease test/ confirm if the uv mirrors are accurate for sunscreen application and protection checking
Geek and gorgeous C-Glow ❤
Skin care video for a lot of freckles on the face?
I always apply my sunscreen before other products. Is that ok or is it better to put it after the other products ?
After, last step so the spf can be on “top” of the other products so-to- speak.
I've been using Olay 24he retinol for 6 months or so, but it seems like it's disturbing my sleep. What would be a great substitute? Or other advice?
Creams don't disturb with sleep.
What do you recommend for exfoliating?
I'm 57 and use a peptide serum. Should i substitute VitC for this? Or in addition to? And if both, does it matter which one is applied first? Thx in advance.

Peptides can be use at night also, after retinols.
As someone new to anti-aging skincare routine is it recommended to use a retinol serum and a retinol cream at night?
No, just one is good. You can follow with a moisturizer too, if needed.
Is Bio balance 50 spf. tinted .. good ?
Thanks
Do you still recommend Melano vitamin c serum?
HI WHAT ABOUT OLAY VIT C SERUM?
Woah just threw me Vit C Skinceuticals in the fridge
Thanks
Yep it’s confusing
The roc retinols r the same but without fragrance?
The night cream has glycolic acid and ascorbic acid. The other fragrance free cream has ascorbic acid and a vit c derivative. The capsules don't have fragrance or any other active ingredient.
Youre so handsome ❤

I think many consumers of dermatology advice get frustrated when so many derms offer contradictory advice.
