I wonder that: the blind spot function nowadays include in most of vehicles like one of basic function but why Cadillac does not have it? Please help me understand this. Thank you so much.

Even though this is the mid-trim of the Escalade, it looks really premium(although I wish Cadillac would offer matte finish wood in the interior). That said, Cadillac really skimp on rear seat accommodations, which is astonishing given how many livery companies buy these to shuttle well-heeled customers. No rear seat ventilation, massage, or rear window sunshades are really extreme oversights.
I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on a Jeep GW for a comparison. That interior is a knockout, as well as the 6.4 HEMI.
Totally agree, the wood on the interior of the new Yukon (the black colored one) is absolutely stunning. Such a miss by caddy not to do the same. The gloss makes it look like the early 2000’s. Also the grand wagoneer is very nice and stunning but the only thing that kills it is it’s gas mileage. Such a horrible gas mileage in comparison

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a front cubby to put stuff. The only way to store the daily stuff a person carries (phone, wallet, keys, etc) is in the center console, which is always already full of other stuff in my vehicles.

I am very disappointed, paying 140k 2022 premium luxury no it doesn't have a messaging seats over all the AR camera doesn't work, only has 210miles, i took the car to thousand oaks Cadillac dealer they said they are going to order a new camera. i am really frustrated paying 140k not having enough options. this dealers are really reaping you off. JUNK over all

Really like the Escalade, BUT I hate the interior color you showed off, and IMO the steering wheel of any Cadillac no matter what car or trim should have a leather wrapped airbag. A luxury brand and the most seen part while driving…

ESV is worth it. I have the 2018 ESV and glad I didn't get the normal version. That extra cargo space along with the much bigger gas tank is so great! I'll be trading in mine for this newer version likely next year. Can't wait.

i gotta say for the ESV 8000lbs is kinda under capable. as big as it is, it should be up there with the Ram 2500, Ford F-250, Silverado 2500, etc.

Nice review guys. I do find it interesting that every review I see about ESV, the reviewers are so surprised about the size. But for guys driving Suburban or Yukon XL, this size is normal. In fact, my 2013 Suburban has more trunk space than this 2022. I even have an automatic second row seat folding. Where I do get beat is third row leg room :-( Either way, it's time to upgrade. One question guys....I run my Suburban on regular gas. Does this require Premium? Thanks.

In this day and time, the dealership's inventories are practically nonexistent, making your style of video more important and necessary to view and understand the features and functions of new vehicles. I am interested in a new Escalade as I mentioned before, but without one in stock, I can't tell if the diesel has enough power to suite me. I am also interested in the driving range of a tank of fuel. To me, that is more important than the actual MPG. I am quite sure your review of such a vehicle would answer most of my questions. Keep up the good work and best of luck in the future.

No ventilated second row seats on any of the Escalade trims...really? For the money you spend on this, you'd think that would be a standard feature, atleast make it available on the highest trim model. Missed opportunity.
Awesome review as always! Between this and the Infiniti QX80, which would you recommend for family, long term, and weather durability?
Escalade, 100%. It uses parts from GM trucks, making it cheap and easy to find parts/repairs down the road. It seats a family more comfortably and is more luxurious, but that’s more of a personal preference subject. I will say, the QX80 may drive smaller, but it’s a much older vehicle as well.
@@davis6123 Great point on the GM part! Idk why I like the interior and exterior of the QX80 more. Nonetheless, both cars get the job done and could handle heavy weather. They’re both better than the Lexus LX and GX series in terms of space.
@@davis6123 - GM trucks have too many engines, transmission and electrical problems to recommend over the Infiniti.

I’m not exactly crazy about the front grill, however, I think that the rear logo (hidden) option was a nice touch. I’m not exactly sure if I’d buy one of these - even if I COULD afford it, nonetheless, luxuries like these are always fun to look at.

The Cadillac from 2022 is a super ugly from outside devains the 2020 Cadillac escalade ESV was more beautiful for seeing that it has a Cadillac escalade ESV Electric like the 2020.
The only thing wrong with the Escalade is their reliability. 😩 And 78k for no blind spot monitoring!??
Only thing wrong with the Range Rover, Lincoln Navigator, GLS580, X7, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, etc. is their reliability except they aren’t doing nearly as well as the Cadillac Escalade.

It's amazing that Cadillac absolutely owns this market segment. Over 40K units sold in 2021 at over 100K a pop. GM prints money on this thing. Cadillac has utter failed at every other segment but this one.
