I finished watching your walk from Le Puy to Santiago a couple of days ago. Your story and filming are superb. Your attitude to the Camino reflects my own approach which I found interesting. I am a 73 year old Scot who walked my first Camino in 2007 and my most recent last August/September. I was due to walk the Seville to Santiago Camino in May but a severe reaction to the Pfizer booster has prevented me from doing so....my hope now is to walk the route and arrive in Santiago on my 75th birthday next December. I am regaining my fitness slowly and am presently preeparing to walk the Porto Central route followed (hopefully) by the Camino Ingles later this month. Meanwhile I am satisfying myself with watching Camino videos. I also enjoyed watching your Portuguese Central route with Camilla...I found it very useful for my own planning. Last month (October 2022) I walked the Camino Frances from Villavante to Santiago de Compostela. From this video I remembered that it was important for you that at Cruz de Ferro a Spanish family offered you a hug even though you did not ask for it. When I arrived at Cruz de Ferro I put my backpack against the fence. A woman next to me was struggling with her emotions so I asked her : "Do you want a hug?". She did and she cried her heart out. She thanked me for the hug and I wished her all the best for the remainder of her Camino. I have not seen her again.

I love your documentary and I hope I'll get the chance to do the Camino. I was really focused on watching your vlog that I couldn't help but notice you spent thinking of your 6 Euro. Why???!!! I know money is money but as a pilgrim, I wouldn't even bother if I give that money to someone in need even when the other person says that he'll it pay it back. Unless, of course, it is 600 Euro, which I wouldn't have anyway.
Thanks 🙏 I’m asking my self the same. 6 euro when he needed 12. I don’t know. It’s not about the amount of money it was more about the situation, helping others and things you are afraid of. @@thomasthomsen6763 no I made mistakes with my equipment especially the choice of socks and shoes. I had new shoes and they were in Gore tex. and it was to much asphalt to walk on. So me feet fell apart. The strength in body was no problem.
@@Per-Ola_a_camino_hiker thanks for sharing and honest answer
I think I needed to learn something. You know, walking a Camino is to learn.
I hope you will have a great journey when the chance for your Camino appears.
Wow! Great video, I’m inspired
