I've pretty much watched all your videos, and have to say, I by far love this one the best. I enjoyed your commentary on other vlogs of caminos but there is something to be said about just listening to the sounds. Beautifully rendered!!
Thank you for producing this particular video. I watched it coincidentally yesterday, on All Soul's Day, and to me it captured the Camino in "the Way" it might have been walked traditionally during the Middle Ages. The pilgrim takes in nature all around him, visits churches all along the route, lights candles, with an angel watching and guiding him from all around and above, while he he contemplates in silence. It had a profound effect on me.
Very well done! Your cinematography is excellent. The story you have told with your documentary is both beautiful and inspiring. Thanks for your effort. 👍
I did Le Puy to Santiago this Summer and watching this video has brought back some beautiful memories. This trip changed my life. Thank you Efrén for sharing this.
I feel like walking along with you watching this video! Many of the footage are stunning, very National Geographic worthy! Thanks Efrén for 2 hours of chilling and forgetting about the crazy world out there!
Wow, beautiful Efren. So much work to create this! I created one 20 min video (took me days!), never again. I’ll stick to photo slideshows, much easier :). But, I have a true appreciation for what goes into creating a video like this. Excellent!
Thanks for your hard work making this film. I’m not able to walk very far these days at eighty five years old now. Your very relaxing and beautiful film helps me relax as a widower of four years. My late wife, Laurette, and I visited Le Puy en Velay in 2008 and travelled in France a lot. Your film is the very best. Thank you so much. John Graham Rogers
Thank you for this beautiful and magical film ❤ I just love this! The landscapes, aerial filming so beautifully, and the countless churches - not to mention the music: absolutely wonderful. Thank you 😊
Wow! Wow ! Wow!
Thank you for this amazing video of the Chémin de Saint Jacques. I have been watching many videos about the different caminos, but, for me, this one is amazing. The medieval villages, some walled, lakes, rivers, canals, all landscape! And your drone! Fantastic!
Gracias y buen camino 👍🙏.
I love your story telling Efren and your daily vlogs on the way but I also love this new format combination with music and *camino sounds* ☺️ very well done 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I have been watching your channel for a while now. I am impressed with your video's, with your reverence for the church and with your care of the people who will watch the video's after you've finished editing and filming. Mostly, what i'm trying to say, is thank you. We appreciate all your hard work.
Thank you Efren. The time and effort you put into filming, editing and producing these TH-cam videos is amazing, and very much appreciated. I’m most interested in all things Camino. COVID has interrupted many people’s plans to return, mine included. Your videos help keep the fire alive.✌️❤️🙏🇦🇺
We just finished this walk Oct 30. 1515 km we travelled, 67 days. It was hard, but each day, you just needed the rest to start back up again. You were mentioned by a few of us, as we watched your first series if this route. Thanks for your great work.
Really beautiful, for those of us that can’t physically make these journeys we can live them through these, it really is like being there. Love that there’s no chatter and love the backing tracks they really enhance the peaceful feeling.
Thank you for posting your journey. I love your positivity and joy for life. I am so happy you two were able to enjoy this process together to the fullest!
Very well done video and the music is just right not too overpowering. I'm 65 years old and considering doing the Camino de compistella possibly this coming fall
WOW Efrén, over two hours of tremendus pictures, impressions and overwelming drone shots! It´s really impressive how much time you invest in collecting all this impressions and putting them together to a film like this. As someone who films by himself I really apreciate this! But two hours is nothing just for a short look. Rather something for a cinema like evening. I especially love your camino expeditions and started following you 2019 on the camino frances; by foot and by Instagram. But I am missing your comments and film speaking. Seems to be your first film without words ;-) Maybe we´ll get the storytelling back? soisloslarsos
Thank you Lars. This is a new format for those who don't speak English and just want a relaxing experience. I still have the daily vlogs with my commentary.
I have just witnessed the most beautiful videography I have ever seen on the subject of the Camino, and I've been procrastinating about my Pilgrimage for 25 years. it is wonderfully apt that this video is filmed on via Podiensis. I am preparing to walk from Basel (Bâle) to Le Puy shortly, and then onward and upward. Thank you Efrén for a beautifully creative and motivating channel.
I was looking for videos on the Camino Portuguese and your videos came up. Yours are probably the best-produced videos on the Camino, Efren. Just subscribed and have been binge watching your videos since- such attention to detail, such magnificent footage, and still manage to show your pious and fun sides. Im really impressed and a little envious!
I did my first camino in 1995 and have done many others since. I also spend a lot of time working along the camino. My second home is the Parador in Santiago. I really enjoy your videos because they keep it real which is not easy to do these days. I am writing a book about my first camino because it was so different back then and also I had no idea what it was all about since it was not well known. I was the only young woman and the only North American I met (lol) except two women I met who were walking just a couple days on their trip around the world. Nice work on the videos. All of them are beautiful.
such a captivating, beautifully photographed piece of art, Efrén! You are the Drone Wizard! I've walked El Camino Frances, and you have caught my heart to walk the Via Podiensis! i can imagine the amount of time, artist's eye, choice of music, and editing this must have taken...what a project of love and labor - i wonder did the flocks of birds that often appeared as if on cue among the rooftops, were they stirred up by the whir of your drone? and you really know how to make a sandwich, man! i thank you with all my heart for having created this video - que Dios te bendiga!
The film is amazing. I watched your daily vlogs from GR65 and plan to do Via Podiensis next May following your steps. Thank you Efren. I'm waiting for your vlogs from Camino on a bike.
I've been watching your travels for awhile now . I'm guessing that your doing this as a full time thing which must be hard with having a family back at home . Take care my friend I've worked away from home for as long as 4 months at a time luckily my children were all on there own and still it was difficult to keep in touch with home dealing with large time changes etc . My last job before I retired was 8 hrs difference I'd be heading to work and my wife would be heading home from her job . We are both thinking very strongly about doing the Camino France's as soon as maybe this fall . Keep up the great work
Hi. I will be walking the gr 65 in August from le puy. Started watching your blog… which are always amazing… did the via francigena last August from Lausanne to Rome. In the beginning of your blog day 1 are you mixing alberges in the via francigena with the Camino frances with there gîte because I didn’t see any gîte or alberges in Italy… your French Canadian friend. Can’t wait to start my fifth pilgrimage
It's great to know that Dim. Del Norte was fantastic, and I must say that the first ten days along the via Podiensis from Le Puy to Conques have been the most enjoyable so far.
It rained from Puente la Reina to Logroño and I had to put away my camera. I have covered that section on my 2017 vlog series and I just completed the entire Camino Frances on a bike. Those vlogs will be coming out after the Tour do Mont Blanc.
I know there’s much time and effort that goes into your videos, especially these long relaxing Camino videos. It would be beneficial to simply add a subtitle to each village as you show entering it so we know where you are. Just a thought as regardless, well done videos!
Very nice! Which drone did you use? I had the Air2S, but I had to warranty it and they gave me the Air3S. Not quite as much of a fan for the Air3S since it is bigger. Now I’m looking for something smaller that I can easily carry on the Camino.
Hey Efren! I absolutely love your videos! Where can I buy the English version of the book below? Miam Miam Dodo GR65 Section 1 édition 2023 (Le Puy-en-Velay à Cahors)
I used gronze.com to plan the stages, and then I bought the miam miam dodo in french at the cathedral to see where the water sources, markets, and such. I compiled all that information and more into my gps tracks, which you can find the link on the video's description.
It takes different routes to complete it. I'm going to follow the via francigena north up to the Mediterranean and then follow the cinque Terre to France, take the camino d'Arles to the camino del norte, and finally finish it with the primitivo.
I wanted to ask if you would consider getting a P.O Box for donations. I won't use PayPal and I don't want youtube to take a share of money from you. Just an idea but I'm sure others would donate that way.

Wonderful video Efren, is a good example of what pilgrims see and experience on the Way. Thank you very much.

Miam Miam Dodo GR65 Section 1 édition 2023 (Le Puy-en-Velay à Cahors)
Thank you so much. There is no English version of the book. It's only available in French.
OK, thank you. Which book would you recommend then? This one seems legitimate.
Camino de Santiago - Via Podiensis: Le Puy to the Pyrenees on the GR65
I used gronze.com to plan the stages, and then I bought the miam miam dodo in french at the cathedral to see where the water sources, markets, and such. I compiled all that information and more into my gps tracks, which you can find the link on the video's description.

It would have been great if it was narrated. However, thanks for the documentary.
I do have an entire vlog series.
Hi again. Which company did you use to carry your luggage on the gr 65.? Is it expensive?
I used la Malle Postale and transporte claudine. You can see my daily costs breakdown on the video's description

Hi Efren, Is there by chance a Camino name for the walk from Rome to Santiago de Compostela?

Forgive perhaps my ignorance but Why dont you talk like in other videos?
This is supplemental material, a long compilation without dialogue for an international audience who doesn't speak English. You still have the regular vlogs from the series.
