Per-Ola - The Fast Hiker

Welcome to Per-Ola - The Fast Hiker channel. 😀🌞
My name is Per-Ola and I'm "The Fast Hiker", or that's my hiking nickname, which I got when I walked Via Podiensis, from Le Puy en Velay to the end of the world, Cape Finisterre, in 2017 (1600 km in 52 days).
In this channel you get to follow me and my wife Camilla on our adventures.
We started hiking in 2014, without any special knowledge or experience in long distance hiking, but since then we have been hooked on this hiking thing an especially Camino de Santiago.
The purpose of this channel is to spread joy and inspiration. And also to show how wonderful it is to be in nature and how important it is to enjoy the life we have been given.
I would be happy if you support us by subscribing.👍
And as you will notice, we are not technical specialists or photographers and we do this with simple means based on our best knowledge. I hope that's enough for you! 😀🎥🎬🚶♂️

Camino de Santiago 2024 | The way to Santiago de Compostela | The longest day | Part 2
#caminodesantiago #Foncebadon#hike #fun #adventure #lifechanging
The Camino de Santiago challenges all walkers in one way or another.
Our challenges started even before we set off but now it starts to feel.
It doesn't matter how many times I've hiked or how many kilometers I've covered.
There are always new things waiting.
Challenges but also fantastic meetings, lessons and other fun.
But have we faced too high obstacles this time?
In this film and in future films, I have focused on giving you as a viewer an overall picture of what is happening inside us and outside us and at the same time, as usual, tips and tricks and everything that concerns the Camino de Santiago.
I hope you support my work by subscribing to the channel, it means so much to me.
Thanks!

@@SteveCardiff thanks 🙏
i stayed in the same alberque in Astorga and it was amazing, was the first time since Leon that i felt the Camino spirit, a few of us shared the cost to wash our clothes and then went to the market and made a family style dinner for everyone. was so amazing, also the fountain for your feet was the best i sat in it while it rained.
U 2 are Soooo! Charming total Ying/Yang . Obviously we all learn from each trek but why are you not using sticks/poles they are a life saver and good workout for the upper body 😅🎉❤
@@pismorichy I normally don’t use those because of the tick tack tick tack 😃 but yes you are right we needed those when we walked downhill 😃🙏☀️
Of course your effort has got a meaning. Thank you so very much to share your way with us.

Exactly the reasons I tented the Camino, best night sleeps I had and tented literally 10 yards from trail as hikers walked right by me not seeing me😂😂😂
Buen Camino. Brasil.

What time of year did you walk?
@@KatieMcManus Beginning of August. 😃
We noticed it was the first time you referred to Camila as your wife and if this is new, CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 🎉 In your video, you have reminded us of an important lesson; Each Camino is its own Camino. I need to make some changes to my expectations as I started to book next spring’s Camino (revisiting our already-visited albergues) to Muxia. Now I’m more skeptical and it’s unlikely that my next trip will be ANYTHING like my previous Camino. So I need to give myself the opportunity to experience new things. Not just the same places to stay, as it may open up the possibilities of disappointment. Thank you Perola and Camila. Looking forward for your next video. Tomorrow, we leave for our next Camino.
@@BrandonBradford Hello 👋🏻 Yes she is my wife now 💍, thanks for the congratulations. I hope you will have av fantastic Camino. Looking forward to hear from you after your Camino. 😃☀️

Hi Per Ola and Camilla, nice to see you back and the journey both on the camino and entertaining us continues! Watching the videos helped inspire us and we start our first on the 14/09 doing the Sarria > SdC section ( the one week holiday allowing ! ) . Like Camilla the shoes have been a big thing, and we pre-bought Poncho's to keep the rain away ! Here's hoping !

Un consejo,no caminen por la derecha de la carretera de espaldas al tráfico, haganlo por la izquierda viendo venir a los coches.

People commenting negatively on how many others hikers there are on the Camino without realising that they too are also one of those numbers. Why is there an expectation that they should have it to themselves?
Hi, have been looking forward to your new vlog. I am glad you are continuing to make you tube videos. You are always calm with such a lovely demeanour that it makes it a joy to follow along
@@stephi3348 Thank you 🙏🙏🙏 I am glad you like my videos and I will continue to try to give you an honest picture of our adventures.
June 2024 - where are the hikers? What has changed? What is the name of the shop? What Camino are you walking?
If you watch you will find out 😃🎥🍿
I have been so looking forward to seeing this video drop of this Camino for you and Camilla. Your video is so full of the highs, lows and disappointment of Camilla, being able to experience what you did a couple years ago. So watching this I was able to fully understand what was happening at the beginning of this trip. I know it goes well because I expectantly watched all of the shorts that you shared as this trip was happening in June. I am looking forward to the coming videos and am sorry that Camilla was having foot/shoe problems from the beginning. But as always her infectious smile kept overshadowing anything that was negative. Thank you both for sharing your Caminos with us! Have fun celebrating the same Camino that you did together 10 years ago!
@@kellyjenkins3965 Hi 👋🏻 thanks so much for your kind words 🙏😃 wow, We appreciate you took time to write to us. 😃 yes, walking a Camino can sometimes be challenging but it has so many good moments too.
Thank you for this video. I like watching your films because they are honest and real.
@@Per-Ola_a_camino_hiker Ok. Takker for svar.
