Dr. Jordan B Peterson and 2024 presidential candidate Chris Christie discuss the disproportional power of teachers' unions, the seemingly perpetual state of the Ukraine/Russia war, the real impact of the Biden laptop scandal, and why Donald Trump might not be the right Republican candidate going forward.
Chris Christie is an American lawyer, politician, lobbyist, author, and former federal prosecutor who served as the 55th Governor of New Jersey (2010 to 2018).

@@kylemccauley8405 not him, but he seems unable to answer a question directly-- he goes into all this hedging about things that are only indirectly related to the question that was asked. When he finally does get around to answering to the question, he doesn't lay it out directly, instead it's kind of a tangent to what he was talking about. He's just kind of... I don't know, addled. The most charitable interpretation, and the one I actually believe to an extent, is he has more than one master who have more than one complex agendas that he's trying very hard not to step on with his rhetoric. The less charitable interpretation is that he's a total buffoon.

Also, even when he has a clear and coherent answer, he kind of... stumbles around, um's and ah's before laying it out. I’m a former teacher and non union member and vehemently disagree with longer school days. Yes, this will keep at risk kids “occupied” but no kid has the ability to concentrate longer and also achieve meaningful learning. Parents need to be present for their kids to perform better. Schools need to focus on important skills having to do with math, science, reading comprehension and history. Accountability, teamwork, wonder and respect need to be reinforced within these subjects.

I'm pretty sure he's put the invitation out to interview any and all presidential candidates. True, Christie has about a 0.000% (repeating, of course) chance of winning, but it'd be pretty weird for JBP to start picking and choosing now, unless he wants to drive away all the more serious candidates.

Because I truly believe that he is nothing more than a political animal lacking any core principles. Then just as I was about to blow off watching this I remembered what you taught me about free speech. That it's only through talking and listening we might find the truth of what people are up to. Have to say, I came into this with low expectations and admittedly expecting to see Christie make a fool of himself, but I was pleasantly surprised that that couldn’t have been farther from the truth. Christie was very well articulated and raised some very incisive points, and I walked away from this interview with a lot of respect for the man. My one complaint would be his trying to put Trump and Biden on the same level - I get that some of the things Trump did may have been questionable or arguably “corrupt”, but they’re absolutely nowhere near the kind of corruption the Biden family has engaged in. But his points on education and Ukraine were very insightful, and I actually learned a lot from him. Godspeed Governor Christie and good luck in the race.

Is there any actual evidence of corruption on Biden's part? As far as I can tell this impeachment inquiry is the conservative equivalent of the liberals who claimed Trump was a Russian asset. There's a lot of bad optics and speculation, but nothing of any actual substance.
It seems to me like at the end of the day Biden has a shitty son and that's about it. It would be disqualifying in any other context, and I'm heartbroken that this is the best our country can manage. But Trump has all but openly declared war on democracy. How can you support him?

The problem with the settlement agreement is that Ukraine and Russia are not controlled parties. Both of these countries have become a platform and tool for achieving the goals of various external players, whose interests largely contradict each other. It is almost impossible to reconcile these interests in one agreement.

    • @RomanGolubev_A

Except that Ukraine was willing to sign an agreement with Russia in mid 2022 however the UK at the behest of the US came in a crushed it. If the US and NATO were not involved the war would already have ended in an agreement.

The military situation is too complex to conclude peace, so it became necessary to simplify the internal situation in Russia and Ukraine as much as possible. The limit of political primitivism is personal dictatorship. Thus, we return to the starting point of 1953 - the date of Stalin's death and the end of the Korean War. Shall we continue from this point? Or should we think a little?

Your interviews of Kennedy, Pence, Ramaswamy, and Christi are the most informative way for voters to understand who these people are and what they will do. 10x more valuable than debates. I hope you will soon interview Nikki Haley and Ron Desantis. If only former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden would participate, but that is unlikely.

    • @EncourageLegacy

You've obviously never been to Ukrаіne.
*Negotiating from a position of strength* is even Jordan's stance. There's countless clips.
The fact that the wаr will end that way is absolutely self-evident. No need to puff one's Еgo up by being "the rare genius" pointing out what we all are aware of. And surprise surprise...Jordan hasn't been to Ukrаіne either to *truly understand* the struggle.
Seeing the struggle and the bigger picture is helpful. Not attempting to be salty here,
-even if you'll read it that way.
It depends on _how_ negotiations are approached.
Jordan, by the way, once went into detail talking about asking for a raise.
One has to have an ace up one's sleeve by having another job perspective in sight, in case of rejection. > How could you be confident against someone above you otherwise?
Same will go for territory negotiations.
Christie remained adamant by the way stating _clearly_ we shall deliver if we actually want the wаr to end. Віdеn is fooling around, just like his predecessor.
