@@TheVirtualJenesis here's advice kid I'm 68 and I look at people who are in there 30s as kids who have kids. Once you live a very long time you start appreciating your times when you were at your youth and wish you weren't so hard on yourself to mature extremely fast especially during your darn teen years. Some advice, go with the flow as people say and with positive and negative experiences maturity comes naturally. Right now you are 17 going on to 18. 17-18-19 THAT IS NOTHING you haven't even lived 1/5 of your life yet. Your a snotty nosed teen go out and make as many memories and experiences as possible, take lots weird pictures and videos to cringe and laugh at when you are older. At 18 I did so many idiotic things I wish I captured that would've made me have a good laugh today but i didn't have the luxury to record it. I have talked to many people who say they feel a sense of jealousy and envy against young people beacuase of the lack of regrets they had in life.. Live life to the fullest, you like someone? go talk to them. Having the chance to tell your parents you love them is is luxury. I can ramble on forever but my point is you are young and dumb live a life that makes you smile in your death bed
I love her whole vintage vibes, but honestly, seeing her in more "modern" styles is kind of amazing and I love it. She gorgeous all the time, but I love these modeling pics. You're amazing Karolina, and I hope you enjoyed looking back on this. Also, the modern hair was actually incredibly flattering. But. Again, still beautiful now too

This is an official petition for karolina to make a video trying to style her old beloved sweater in new.... i guess not new but vintage ways, who’s with me
When I look at my pictures when I was 18, I don't just cringe. I cry. Out of pity for that person who I was before. It was a really really dark place for me during my late teens. I would look at my pic and talk to him and thank him because if it weren't for his strength, I wouldn't have had experienced the peace I am experiencing now.
I didn't know I was so nostalgic for 2012 until now. Not JUST being 10 years younger but like that period in time was so odd and the internet was still so open and wonderful.
I am insanely jealous of your collection of photos and videos of yourself! I was (and still am) terrible at taking pictures of myself and friends and life in general. I have almost no documentation of my 20s and very little of my high school days. It might seem overly cringe or embarrassing to look back on your younger self (I can understand that) but to have the ability to do so is amazing.
As a fellow mid-90s kid, this was so great. I've been off social media for years and don't tend to take many photos of myself so it really got me thinking... I feel like I can barely remember who I was then - maybe not having social media or much memorabilia from that time has given me more freedom to reinvent myself. Definitely relate big time to what you said at the end of the video as well. Dziekuje bardzo! Keep up the awesome work! Edit: Speaking as a not-particularly dashing dude (but who has improved over the years in dress sense, grooming, blabla), it's also pretty mystifying to me that you could have ever thought you looked bad! Seriously, in my younger years I would have made non-trivial sacrifices to have similar aesthetics as you. Although not anymore because I've learned to love my own uhh.. ruggedness? (to some extent at least, lol.) Genuinely though, you're stunning! Enjoy it!
This is exactly the quality content I'm here for :D Also I applaud your bravery in facing those old photos and videos. I have a hard drive of my own with stuff from my old computer, and I am not going near that thing any time soon!

Aww you’re beautiful! I think all young girls go through that stage where they are getting into their confidence and first feeling their own power of sensuality. The playful poses and expressions are all a part of it.
It is wild to know how universal some experiences are. We're almost exactly the same age and I did so much of that with my friends, only I grew up in Indiana, USA. It's strangely comforting to see that we were like that the world over.
I have a feeling the hair flipping photos were from the time when everyone tried to take a photo of flipping their wet hair at the beach. I vaguely remember such a time a few years ago :D
The last clip almost made me cry?? Anyway, I am 16 and I feel that as a child I would have find you the most interesting person ever, and you would most definitely be my crush.

I’m sorry but what- don’t shame yourself for the modeling photos! You are GORGEOUS. You definitely had/have modeling potential! Those photos oh my god- I won’t get over this🖤🖤🖤
That video, my Goddess, the last video gave me chills. I think part of it definitely looks "home made" but some reminded me of those "slice of life" dramas, when you have either the collage of happiness before the peek of the drama, or the last scenes when everyone is gonna "separate" but still feeling hopeful of a tomorrow together, you know? with the soft happy music, the different images and sounds that make your "piece of the world". I think the video is brilliant and beautiful. I don't have a memory like that, I never had friends during high school, I actually had my first friends when I was 21-22 and only got to really deepen the relationship 7 years later. But still, the video made me almost cry, it was a good feeling. And if I think about it, maybe they didn't remind me of the time I was 18, but when I was 25, leaving the country, and saying goodbye to all my friends, but they were acting as if it was just another weekend, so that my possibly last memories of them where perfect. I have even lost 1 of those friends and the more I listen to that music, and watch the images, I feel more nostalgic of that time. Really, it was well done, no matter the errors or the quality, it conveyed a feeling, an emotion.
Oof, that nostalgia video hit hard. I also feel like I thought I was such an adult at 18 and 19 years old, and now as an almost 32 year old lady I look back and realize I was still so naïve to the world. Crazy. That modeling stuff though, that looks fantastic. The right photographer definitely brought out some amazing and expressive sides of you.
I was 18 in 2012 and this was a nostalgia trip for me 😭 also those modeling shots are gorgeous. don't sell yourself short, just appreciate them for what they are ❤

There used to be TV shows that looked at a celebrity’s life called “This Is Your Life”. And this is your life. Real, casual, and not a cringe in the bunch. First, Karolina was a doll. A real heart throb young pretty, 18-20 yr girl. Not a stereotypical California blond, just attractive and pretty and fun and funny. This snap shot of growing up was absolutely a gold mine. Yeah! I enjoyed that.
That last little montage with the dreamy music hit me hard. Spring is coming faster than it seems, my son is finishing school and organising to move out. It'll be just me and the cats, and the cats aren't interested in discussing music or books.
You're beautiful! Nothing wrong with taking some pictures and showing that, literally nothing shameful about it. And as far as the pictures where you were like, "What am I doing?" Some of those modelling pics are seriously good actually. The more “masculine” looks were very high fashion.

I'm old enough to be her mother 😁
Meme... cousin?

@ but honestly, it looks really good 👌
@ i as a 18yo wrote a whole ass continuation of Pride and Prejudice and i still think, even tho like a bigger part of a decade has passed that the premise was quite good, and that was like ONE THING i did till the end... and i fricking lost the handwritten notes XD

Are you kidding me? You would have made a great model. You look so good in the modeling pictures. It's a loss that you stopped.
You are right about the nostalgia. That video hit hard. The combination of the song and the footage is making me about to cry.
You really exposed yourself for this video 😅
Your modeling photos aren't as bad as you think. They look good and definitely capture the early 2010s
“early 2010s” just made me feel ancient 💀😂 but thank you!

As someone who is nearing 50, my eyes welled up a few times watching this. It's easy to have more cringe than wistfulness when you don't have the benefit of more years behind your eyes...but when you do, you'll be so very glad you have this wonderful library of memories you built. I think it's amazing.

I am 29.
It's called having emotional attachment to clothes
It means you had at least one thing right at 14- cardigans are great
Still got the same summer jacket as 12 years ago. Yup...
(I should get a new one though, only one of the two pockets works.)
That's great :) We should all value our clothes a lot more, the fashion industry is one of the worst polluters
Nice try faking those "old images of you" we know you are a time traveler
And you are 150 years old
You missed three zeros when you typed that...
"They had us in the first half, not gonna lie"
Hehe
Karolina was actually there when the big bang happened alongside Queen Elizabeth
She's been here way before the dinosaurs btw
10:58 I think maybe you've forgotten how pretty you actually are? These photos aren't cringy at all and def worth being proud of even now.
Don’t we all have a picture of the weasley twins in our download folder tho?
Standard, all computer companies require it before selling them.
If you don't, I don't trust you
Coz they cute
No, not really. It's strange and cringy, nobody does it.
Haha, yes, my Potter ref file is still on my computer. I'm pretty sure I might even have that pic in it XD Because there are a lot of Weasley pics on there

can i say as a 19-year-old, Thank God. glad to know adulting gets a little easier as time goes on
I felt like I was more sure of life at 18 than I am now, lol
Ok I'm 17 now so it was great hearing that at the end, cuz I'm literally tired of teachers and parents asking me to grow up, like I'm a fricking c h i l d.
@@personnerson7611 wow thanks so much, I have no words. Every young person needs to hear this💗
I love her whole vintage vibes, but honestly, seeing her in more "modern" styles is kind of amazing and I love it. She gorgeous all the time, but I love these modeling pics. You're amazing Karolina, and I hope you enjoyed looking back on this. Also, the modern hair was actually incredibly flattering. But. Again, still beautiful now too

I look back at my 18 yr old self, I thank her strength too.
Hey, it's so good to hear you're better now! Sending you hugs 🫂
@@z.u.2943 thank you! I hope you're doing well, too
Not going to lie, this makes me feel a bit better bc 18’s been kicking my ass this year-
When I look at my 18 year old self I pity her because of all the hard stuff that is ahead of her and she has no idea
Enjoy it!
This is exactly the quality content I'm here for :D
Also I applaud your bravery in facing those old photos and videos. I have a hard drive of my own with stuff from my old computer, and I am not going near that thing any time soon!
it did cost me a little bit of my sanity 💀 but the nostalgia was worth it!
as a 18 year old this was really nice to hear! i feel like i missed out on a lot of things bc of covid but it's kind of nice to hear that i can be a kid again once this is over
The „Modeling Phase“ was unjustly judged. These pictures look soo good! ♥️♥️
Aww you’re beautiful! I think all young girls go through that stage where they are getting into their confidence and first feeling their own power of sensuality. The playful poses and expressions are all a part of it.
“when instagram was photos of your feet with heavy filters”

It is wild to know how universal some experiences are. We're almost exactly the same age and I did so much of that with my friends, only I grew up in Indiana, USA. It's strangely comforting to see that we were like that the world over.
and here i am afraid of mirrors
Are you a vampire?
currently 18 and stressing about life and this really made me feel better. also your modeling photos are gorgeous!!
I have a feeling the hair flipping photos were from the time when everyone tried to take a photo of flipping their wet hair at the beach. I vaguely remember such a time a few years ago :D
In case anyone else was wondering the song at the end is Layup - "Side By Side"
The last clip almost made me cry?? Anyway, I am 16 and I feel that as a child I would have find you the most interesting person ever, and you would most definitely be my crush.
This is my exact thought and I'm 16 too! (just realized this comment was from a year ago so ur probably 17 now obv) Yeah i know. I'm so late for going through all Karolina's Videos)
"everyone goes through a classy phase" I feel so called out.. I'm in that right now. And then you switch back and forth between that and the "streetwear phase" :')
The problem with growing older is that you have increasingly more cringey memories of your younger self...Trust me, it never stops
Ikr the difference between me at the ages of 13 and 33 is literally nonexistent.

Those Cheekbones! 😍
18 year-olds need our support, even when they are us.
Me seeing the videos with Karolina and her sister not knowing who is who:
*CONFUSED SCREAMING*
Video idea: how to pair bonnets and vintage hats with modern clothes? Or trying to mix vintage clothes with modern accessories?
“he used to be so skinny” made my day I don’t know why
What I learned about 18 year old Karolina: There was a lot of prancing in her life.
