Most people don't need or actually use the TRD Pro for what it's intended for but its more rather for aesthetics or exclusiveness or whenever you need those off-roading features. The same reason why everyone buys Ferraris or Lambos, no one really needs those cars or race everyday but more of the "looks" and exclusiveness. If the first natural feeling was a TRD Pro but realizing you can't get it for a while and then you end up getting the Off-Road, it does mean you are settling. It's settling because you are convincing yourself that you don't need the TRD Pro features and that it "looks like the TRD Pro" or "you will make the upgrades" in the future lol.
You make a great point! Many people do choose vehicles based on aesthetics and exclusivity rather than their full capabilities. It's all about personal preference and how we want to express ourselves through our rides!
