I love my off road, non electric. Rides, handles and stops great. KO3 285/70r17 tires on stock wheels and run 93 octane. I don’t listen to the radio, sounds great to me. Glad I bought this truck and would do it again. Looks great, I got the silver. I enjoy your videos, great job.
Short answer: trd pro WITHOUT the isodynamic shitty seats, if that was an option.😳. Meanwhile, I’ll stick with the trd off-road premium packaged Tacoma.👍🏻👌🏻
I went with the Trailhunter. Really considered the PRO but the backseat space was a dealbreaker for me. Glad I went with the Trailhunter and have no regrets.
Real nice vid, thanks for doing it. One note …the seats in the pro do tilt but it is manual…I think because of the way the iso seats work. I have a pro and when I took my first drive I panicked and thought I was going to have to sit straight up until I found the lever. The iso seats really are stupid btw. I also agree that the throttle response is not as good as you’d expect. Nonetheless I love the truck and I’ve had a bunch of Tacomas
I plan on trading my 21 Trd OR in another year or 2 for the Trd OR non-hybrid. I want the rear underseat storage. I don’t want to pay $8800 just to get softex seats, so I’d probably go cloth then have Katzkin install custom leather!
I tried both at the same time the pro and trail hunter i didn't care for the pro and the seats in the pro the trail hunter just seems like it had more torque i brought the tacoma trail hunter I'm glad I did over the PRO
I picked up a TRD Off-road Premium hybrid and only went hybrid because I tow my camper and it made a HUGE difference when it comes to towing. Plus, I really wanted the 2400 watt inverter. Couldn’t justify paying $13k more for a fake roll bar and rock sliders and especially not to give up rear seat space for those stupid gimmicky “isodynamic” seats lol.
Great video as always I just want to point out that those rock rails that the trd pro has don’t mount to the frame like true rock rails. Not sure what they are but I don’t think they’re rock rails .
As a divorced single male, kids grown, i live alone I would buy the pro if the price was $10,000 dollars cheaper, I have no Intentions of hauling any passengers.
Thanks for the in put. I just got a new 24 Tacoma TRD off road and you convinced me that I made the right decision

How do you like the KO3s? I really liked my KO2s on my 3rd gen.

Trail Hunter looks like a baby Chevy Avalanche
I went with the TRD Off-road Premium iForce Max because I couldn’t justify spending $10k more for a snorkel and faux roll bar lol.
@@joseperezpaz9986 looks nothing like it

I drove both the Hybrid and non-hybrid before I made my decision, and I didn't feel like the hybrid was better. I went with the off-road non- hybrid.
@@irnwrkr3 Plus the Hybrid has No storage under the back seat.
Glad you felt the same way I did.
Simple answer, what can you afford within your means? These are literally 10k apart not including markups
Love my trd off road premium with sway bar disconnect
The one I want is the TRD off road premium package that’s the best one.

That’s a solid choice. I think you’ll really like this new generation.
Naw skip the pro if your spending that much get the trailhunter it’s a better package

Yeah the trail hunter seems like the better buy over the Pro.

Yeah I bet that extra torque helps a lot with towing and the 2400 watt inverter is awesome.
Why does the hybrid version have locking gas door?
Wish you would have sit in back of the OR to show difference in space behind seats.
I'll stick w/my paid-for 3rd Gen SR 4 Banger 2 whlr😂

@@Mmedina87 yeah great point
I'd like to see a drag race between hybrid and non hybrid. But you definitely save alot of money.
Did you see the 0-60 test in the video? I think they would both be about the same.
@@MuscleAmericanI just did and I agree with you. On paper you would think it would do much better, but it doesn't seem that way.
@@MuscleAmericantheres plenty of videos online showing the iforce-Max Wins lol
Could you do this but with the trail hunter trim?
@@jono2514 yeah I’ll see if I can get my hands on one.
same payload as the non-hybrid 1200#. I thought you would have appreciated the 2400 watts of power that can run you camping trailer.
Yeah the 2400 watt plug could really be useful.
In Canada the the hybrid over the premium package is over 7 g$
@@kylevideto9854 yikes
It's unfortunate that Toyota did not offer a V6 engine with the new Tacoma,4Runner or land cruiser.
What if you use the price difference and beef up your truck. Left, wheels and tire, rock sliders. That'll be nice
@@KhmerMikeTheTiger you can get a nice suspension, wheels and tires for around $5k-$6k.
I like the seats in the Pro. I'm not buying a Tacoma for it's rear legroom.
As a divorced single male, kids grown, i live alone I would buy the pro if the price was $10,000 dollars cheaper, I have no Intentions of hauling any passengers.
Neither. Get the GMC Canyon AT4 and you’ll be happy. 🇺🇸
The way toyota makes this trucks to separate from each other is redicules price not functionality.
you mean a lot more ....
There is no comparison between the two power trains....
You think the hybrid feels a lot different?
SR5 4X4 V6
How does anyone justify paying that much for a TRD Pro?! No thanks, don't need it.
