I used to do a lot of meditation for many years daily with no issues but developed a health condition which affected my previous ability to meditate and my mind would not slow any more (I often don't have just one mind stream going on to be slowed down but can get several happening at the same time, so my mind was being highly active no matter what state I was in. Something going very wrong within my body with my brain ended up being backed up by several brain scans EEGs showing that my brainwaves had stopped slowing as they should when I'm in relaxed states. at rest with eyes closed and are abnormal while I'm asleep. My brain is abnormal. Today though I did feel the brain properly slow and had a good meditation. thanks, it gives me more hope that I may be able to get back to my old meditation practices.
Thankyou Garavavati, such a beautiful meditation. It's so well paced and you have a perfect voice for guiding. I always pause it towards the end so I can enjoy it a little longer 😊
Really good meditation, well instructed including 3 elements body, breathing and nind awareness, great potential to get on deeper level, l feel teste of 🙂. Thank you so much
It seems to me that Buddhism means years and years of a lifetime of introspection. To what extent is this bearable ❓ Many are called but few are chosen.
I agree that Buddhism is a lifelong task of introspection. Others (also Buddhists) have said to me that it takes so long to reach awakening. But it's also a process of small incremental changes, it can't happen all at once. I guess experiencing those changes oneself is what makes it bearable to stay on the path. :)
Nothing good comes easy. If you want a fit body, you must keep exercising and eat well. If you want to be intelligent, you must continue to feed your mind books etc.
If we accept that the Buddha became enlightened - whatever that is and whatever that means - as his life story goes, he achieved his goal after only six years from the start of his quest of going forth. As a result, we can only conclude that he was so physically and mentally endowed as to be, what we may say, as being 'Spiritually Gifted.' His achievement may or may not be open to all, but realistically speaking, so called 'Enlightened Awakening' for the vast majority of human beings, amounts to so much plum pudding in the sky. Such is 'The Reality' of the average mere mortal man/woman. Human, all too human, and the best most of us can hope for, is that somehow we can find the courage and the endurance to get through life in this torrid world before The Great Release in The Big Sleep. Cheers. 🍷
@@wallywalton1983 Ah well, you won't be blowing anybody's mind. Ps. Western Buddhists often forget that there is no such thing as Buddhism. There is only Reality. Cheers 🍷
@@petercurry6222 what does it have to do with blowing people's minds? There are no chosen people not any spiritually endowed people. You made that up! It comes down to one word in the end. Effort.

You get back what you put in Peter. Same as everything in life.

@@wallywalton1983 I haven't made anything up. Good luck in your 'Big Effort.' And even after that, 'All Will Be Theory.'
