RELATION BETWEEN BREATH AND MIND l. BUDDHA STORY

  • The ancients had started working on the science of reducing the number of breaths and increasing their depth, because they understood that a human being gets a fixed number of breaths, not years and months, to live and the number of breaths to be taken is limited. Life can be prolonged by reducing the speed, but this speed of slowing down and lengthening of the breath should happen natural.

You should demostrate it so that we underrstand what you mean with breathing. Not only by reading or talking.

Swami Rama also pronounced quite frequently that breath and mind are twin sisters in life. They mirror each other exactly. You can grab hold of breath to affect mind. You can grab hold of mind to affect breath. For most, the former is easier.
Swami Rama also expressed to us that in meditation, a wonderful competition takes place between mind and breath. Each one attempts to become subtler than the other.
Breath and mind are one in the same.
Your root desire, before any other desire is “I want to breathe.” Quite possibly it is that desire for just one last breath of a man/woman, causes their next life.
Amazing, isn’t it all? Swami Rami was quite a yogi. Although I spent time with him, there is so much I never understood profoundly. He had vast wisdom, because he was such a dedicated, loyal student to his master, and the teachers his master sent him to.
“Living With The Himalayan Masters,” is one of the most powerful books I ever read.

I got absorbed in how the AI voice made mistakes and I probably missed a lot of this and I had no idea what fingers referred to in the aspect of breathing. But I did relax, so it had that effect.

    This is 100 % correct.
We must take deep breathe in and try to hold it atleast for 10 seconds and take just 5 seconds to exhale slowly to practice this, and then just after 3 minutes, you will definitely feel a little bit more energetic and healthy just automatically.
Remember! A mosquitoes bite can soon damage your cool patience and lead to anger soon after a minute. So to avoid that terrible pain ans itching and scratching of the mosquito bite, you may temporarily use just 5 drops of Dettol liquid on that bite spot., soon after 3 minutes it will start to get lesser and lesser soon.

I think when they talk about 4 finger of breath. If you hold your palm 4 fingers away from your mouth you should just start to feel the breath ie very slowly. If you make love your breath can be felt 20 to 40 fingers away. The with of 4 fingers is about 3 inches so 12 fingers is. 12 inches

One of my friend did this and it's very effective, he managed to lower down his breath, at first week he tried breathing at least 16 breath in a minute now he manages to lower it to 7 breath in a minute. And he want to try a next level of breathing, so he tried to lower down is breath to 0 in a minute, and now he lives in a very peaceful mind, no more pain.
