I had the pleasure of seeing Alan Gaines unveil the midnight Express, one night at Kamper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri. He took his boots off, turn the lights on blew the train horn and pull the sled straight out the arena. That was one of the best nights as a teenager. I miss those good old days.
@@robguysgarage5422 as a matter fact I noticed in this video when Alan Gaines backed up to hook up to the pulling sled. If you look to the right side, you can see the green monster bush, jet engine pulling tractor that art Arfons used to have if I’m not mistaken it was two twin turbo jet engines that shot flames 🔥 in the air that was my first time seeing one of those jet tractors, but I do remember the bush logo on the side of that tractor
5 all together - the '37 two wheel drive, the 85 super modified four wheel drive, the 23 Ford twin engine 4 wheel drive, the 86 Ranger two-wheel drive, and the train tank
I can’t believe how filthy dirty they let Allen’s trucks get, it’s disgusting stupid Hillbilly’s man. These are legendary trucks . What the hell is wrong with them? I remember OBS when I was a kid and it my all time favorite truck as well.
It’s awesome that it still survives
Yes, I was so glad to see it and sit in it
Was and still is the coolest pull truck to exist❤❤
Agreed, I'll try to get back down there and get better video of it

So cool, I have those exact memories too, and am having a lot of fun finding these trucks and tractors and the guys that built them

don't you just love the go pros???
Yeah, couldn't believe it
@@robguysgarage5422 I have heard nothing but complaints about the gp 10 losing audio.. corrupting files ...
@@DIRTVENTURE from what I've read it's a bad SD card, so I'll be switching SD brands shortly
@@robguysgarage5422 oh ok. Good to know. What brand were you using
@@DIRTVENTURE using Sandisk, but have heard that Samsung evo cards are much better
Was there a puller called the Midnight Special?
I believe so, I think it was a Chevy truck with a wood stake bed on it but I can't seem to find any pictures now
Uuuuhhhhh... awesome as fuck
Thanks for watching!
We're riding with ya.
thx!
sad, it didn't have that much dust and dirt on it when it pulled.
yeah true, I'm just glad it's still around and works

I hear ya, they will have them cleaned up when they use them again in 2 weeks, maybe I'll offer to keep them at my house and keep them clean for them😁
@@robguysgarage5422 Please do. If I bought and owned them omg they will be spotless where you can eat off them.
yup and I'd be using them all over the country once again@@MikeS1990.
It bugged me when the guy started brushing it off with his hand, scratching the paint.
@@9rjharper the truck gets paint scratches from the dirt thrown off the tires going down the track .
