You know whole reason he divorced April was because he never got the chance to grieve all the terrible events while they were in a relationship. After they lost the baby he was their for her whenever she needed and was understanding to whatever she had to do to help her find her normal. But she never returned the same actions. He had every right to act however he wanted through the divorce. And it's kind of sad that it's taking til now that he gets to actually reflect on everything that has happened since then.
@@kelanievassor4253 the problem with grief, and why losing a child breaks up so many couple is that everyone grieves differently and needs different things. It's hard to take care of someone else when ur broken. I understood even if I didn't agree with April leaving I just wish they could have come back from it. Now Jackson understands, he just did the same to Maggie
@@kelanievassor4253 he got the chance to join April in army when April wanted him to go with her at the second time but he didnt! He missed the plane and he did not try hard to get to another plane. He is a rich man. April even apologized to him for many times even in her last season. Add to that, different person has different way of grieving. When a mother losing her baby that she carried for 9 months, thats almost killing her damn heart and soul. No man will understand. So I am sure its unfair to put a total blame on April in this case. Jackson who has a huge ego and selfish and now believes god? Lol.. He never ever apologize to April. Sorry for the rant but yeah thats what I wanted to say for people that only see one side of someone's mistake.
@@kelanievassor4253 Yes, she was wrong-absolutely. And he spent his whole life being abandoned so when she did it (not out of malice but she did) he walked away so she couldn't hurt him again. Just one problem with that-he was deeply in love with her and that didn't end. She owed him a heartfelt apology and they needed to learn what the other needed in the way of support. That was doable. They were fixable. They were one of the best examples of real people with real flaws and real heartbreak that Grey's ever had. So Jackson realizing during one of the current episodes what they lost is insignificant at this point since the showrunner destroyed Jackson and April. It feels like an attempt to convince people that she really understands and cares - and it's so incredibly insincere.
He destroyed every relationship of his, we don't talk about his flaws bc he's pretty. He should've never divorced April, even after she continuously tried to hold the relationship together
@@farahreynoso1940 Lexie never loved Jackson, and Jackson didn’t want to be the void filler and broke up and never looked back with much sorrow. He knew Mark and Lexie are epic love
Amitha Alex Jackson and April at first they were more tome as just friends. Then when the writers start to put them as a couple I wasn’t feeling it at first because she was a virgin and Jackson wasn’t. He didn’t really no any better because she was waiting to be married. Due time I started to like them as a couple. Sarah Drew zodiac sign it’s Libra and Jessie Williams he is a Leo. Kelley Mccreary she is a Libra too. Those signs are compatible with Leos. I’m a Leo myself and my love he is a Leo too. With God any signs can work but still the ones that are difficult can be challenging too and hard to deal with. Jessie Williams gf she’s a Libra too .
"And now that I do, now that I *_really_* *_do,_* she's married. *_She's_* *_happy_* *_with_* *_someone_* *_else."_* That speaks so many volumes. He still loves April, even if he feels like he can't act on it. He says he loves Maggie, but it's clear by her just hearing it that it's not that simple. He loves Maggie but April is the one he wanted forever.
Severus Snape Agreed.April is the one that he wanted forever. I mean he did tell his mom that April “is” “was” the one when his mother found out they had gotten married.
Maggie kind of sucks in this scene. She tells Jackson to be honest with her and she won't leave and then she literally leaves him when she can't handle it. Ugh. Should have been the end of Jaggie. Jackson and Maggie should NEVER have been an item. Jackson needed time to be alone after April and everything involved in that history and Maggie is literally too far behind emotionally to be what Jackson needs. I wish Japril had just slowed down and really dated before getting married. They did have a lot of love and chemistry but they rushed into being married, having kids, etc without ever just talking about how they would be a family. Or about religion. Or money etc. And then when life got hard, they just didn't have a strong enough foundation to survive it. I think the happiest ending for them to raise Harriet together and move on, but Jackson still shouldn't have moved on with Maggie.
this was the first scene of maggie and jackson that I didn't skip and I'm so glad I didn't because FINALLY he realized April was the one and now she's gone
the one thing i really don’t like about greys anatomy is how they break up every couple. jackson and april were one of my top favorites and i really wish they lasted
I never saw the chemistry. Maggie had better chemistry with Andrew and they actually had passion. Jackson and April develop slowly and they went through their craziness but no matter what they were connected even when they were disconnected. Jackson found his faith when he thought she was going to die. Yes they both have moved on but they will never love anyone the way they loved each other. They were one of those couples that you didn’t expect but as I watched them grow I LOVED them craziness, heartbreak and all. I don’t feel that with him and Maggie.
So now they finally recognized, that it was a big mistake to destroy Japril and now yeah. It's too late. Even if april comes back, she would never leave Matthew again. And all its soooo sad
They wanted us to know that it's impossible and that April moved on but we all don't forget how impossible and unbelievable it is for April and Matthew to be fine togather and how Sarah was fired to make room for jaggie.
I believe April was Jacksons one true love, like MerDer. But he can't go back to her, not now. But I really hope they kill Matthew off in Season 17 so Jackson can go back to April.
Ya gurl that isn’t why she walked out. And him grieving the end of his marriage cos he thinks it’s his fault isn’t a slight on Maggie or take away from the fact that he is in love with her.
Liz B girl yes it is. He literally said that if he had believed in god earlier on maybe him and april have had a better chance and he i MOURNING a relationship he ain’t been in for over a year or too now because they could have been a family with her. He basically said because she’s with matthew now I can’t do shit about it
'I would never do anything to take that away from her'... 'I am grieving' i mean endgame is this. April tried to get Jackson to forgive her and commit and he said no...she moved on, she's happy. He realised he loves her, its too late but he loves and repsects enough to let her be while he grieves for the life he almost had. Rip my japril loving heart. But atleast i know love isn't what drove them apart...its all about timing.
@@buchbummelant8980 yeah it’s because all of what happened in season 14 was bullshit. I’m glad jesse williams fought to give Japril fans at least that endgame. Krista the writer must be fuming lol
The show runner/writers really truly fucked up when they decided to fire Sarah Drew (a devoted employee, might I add). I like the path they've chosen for Jackson - but something's missing, it's like he said: the only thing Japril didn't see eye to eye on, no longer exists. I honestly truly don't understand why they made the decision to write April off; it seems to me like this would have been an amazing journey for the two of them - especially since April found her faith & belief again recently.
Katherine has cancer. They are creating a new support system for him. They want us to see Maggie as his new support. The writers are trying to fix the mess.
@@lostkorean well thery aren't doing a good job of it, if that is what they're aiming at. If Katherine is sick, there is no way April, being the person that she is, doesn't show up. Katherine was always there for April whenever she needed her - they were friends even before Japril hooked up. Also Jackson is her person (both she & Jackson have said so on multiple occasions), so regardless of where they stand or who she's married to, she'd be there for him - the father of her child at the very least - if his mother - her kid's grandma - were sick. So all these storylines are doing, is making April's absence all the more obvious and painful.
The truth is they tried to push this couple (Jackson and Maggie) into the public ... it just did not work out. They have no chemistry has no passion. His story is weak and boring. April and Jackson were a couple who had lots of chemistry, had passion, they have a daughter are a family. Maggie will never be April.
mariana Fonseca woah she isnt trying to be i love both CHARACTERS but jaggie was rushed Jackson never let the ink on his divorce even dry b4 him and maggie happened her mom just died 2, so the way they started was just messy and she doesn't even talk about her mom so even though maggie deserves better jackson has a point maggie was never fully in from the start she already had an expiration date and now jackson is questioning did he make right move or not , but its to late and maggie should have been pissed not barely texting or calling for days when ur relationship just started,I love Maggie but this was forced come on gurl IJS if I have to question what we are then I already have my answer...
Jackson and april havr chemistry even when they not couple, even when they fight, even when apfil have hard time and jackson worried about her, its genuine. Jaggie its blah..
Felipe Fernandes . That’s what I’m talking about. Glad you said that. They try to force people to get on board, but people don’t fall for that. Then they backpedal.
for real!! I might even say that jaggie is worse than george and izzie together. at least george and Izzie had a friendship beforehand but this relationship wasnt built on anything
he literally just said that he still loves April! That if she wasn´t with Matthew he would´ve tried to get her back a loong time ago! He still loves her. Jackson still loves her. When he says I love you, i really do! to Maggie, there is nothing there. Nothing. When he said it to April his eyes were shining and he didn´t need a "i really do" - casually saying "love you" to April had more chemistry and feels than this. We need to get Sarah back. We need to get April back. So hear me out... Matthew .. has to die. That´s the only way April and Jackson could rekindle! If the writers don´t know any storys for them to write atleast get them together give them one more season, to get together and then let them leave together but make them Endgame. It has to be. It´s the only right thing to do.
Even Jesse Williams calls April the love of Jackson's life...I will forever be bitter over the writers killing Japril, especially in the manner that they did.
I haven't watched through the entire show but even when things are messy and he talks to April about love, it seems like their really is love. This seems cold...
Jackson will always love April and ending Japril was one of the worst things to happen to Grey's because we were all so invested in their story even til the end.
This makes me so happy to see, because I feel like the April and Jackson divorce was so random and poorly executed. It didn’t make sense after how in love they were for him to just leave her so easily. It was like he didn’t even care. Like he snapped his fingers and was over her. I’m so glad they are finally giving Japril some credit again after building them up for SEASONS and then destroying them. Now we finally know where Jackson’s heart truly lies.
Ellieon nope. This isn’t about April and Jackson. That’s what y’all don’t get. This is all about Jackson and Maggie fighting to be together. Even the April mentions are all to serve that purpose. It’s why she wasn’t even needed anymore. Lmao.
Liz B no this is just about Jackson and maggie deserves better than that but Jackson was not ready the minute he got a divorce boom Maggie Maggie's mom died yes April screwed up but she did try to fight 4 Jackson he didn't and instead of taking time to grieve him and maggie both they rushed and forced this yes I'm April but the way jaggie got together was just to much ....
I lost so much time watching this stupid series. And the only reason was Japril. And at the moment when I knew that April will leave I was done with this series. I don't watch it anymore. If someday I start watching it again would be only if Japril reunite and get their happy ending together.
This is the first clip I watched since April left and it’s still shipping japril lol. I just don’t understand what they were thinking getting rid of two amazing women doctors to replace them with two men and of course one is gay so they solved the hate for getting rid of a lesbian character.
Des1tka85 yes!! I would only watch for their scenes! Even with a 2 second scene in one episode they had so much chemistry. I can’t believe I wasted so many years.
Same. Was pissed off after they split up Callie and Arizona and Jackson and April and put Callie and Jackson with seriously boring women, then wrote April and Arizona off. I’d binged the whole thing from the beginning last Christmas and caught up last season, and then stopped watching.
I never liked Maggie she’s a good person but is so immature and self centered! When there are problems she does not how react and confort the other person......and this jaggie thing is so forced......they have 0 chemistry......--poor jackson -- is so boring see them....
He prayed and believed in something he didn't believe before FOR HER. He was willing to let go of the person he loves even if it means watching her getting married to another man just so she could be happy. Jackson Avery never stopped loving April. What he didn't know was that April never stopped loving him as well. The writers just sucked
Who else just loved that!!!!. It really was the one thing that always came between him and April. Now that he has faith he knows that him and April could work, but he learned too late and knows that it was his mistake. April and him are soul mates and best friends!!! I just want them to be end game at the end of the day!!Arg makes me so happy and sad. I know that was so hard to hear for Maggie, but being honest is the only way to be with this situation, cause he really is grieving for the lost of the chance to be with April with their daughter in a great place of understanding.
deepbrowneyes66 it wasn’t. Japril ended cos April ran and abandoned him after they lost Samuel. Jackson is grieving the whole family unit his daughter lost. Like he said, he is in love with Maggie. And was crushed when she left and never envisioned them ending and wants to work through their relationship. He is grieving through rose colored glasses. I’m guessing he is gonna realize that soon.
Dr Khushboo Agarwal yh I really don’t give a shit about that. There’s nothing more to say lmao. Let’s mark each other’s words and time will tell who is right.
Jackson was so hurt, and filled with so much resentment towards April after the death of Samuel and she left for the middle east that he never really grieved all his losses. Like he told Maggie he never pictured his marriage ending. April was supposed to be "the one" his forever love. He had been stuck in the prison of unforgiveness and that kept him from healing. Therefore, he was not able to see the possibility of starting over with April after she had acknowledged and apologized for messing up their marriage. Now that there is emotional and physical distance between them because she is another man's wife has caused him to reflect on his life and grieve. He has so many regrets for what could have been his life with April. Although the series does not show this I'm sure that his father's words rang strong in his ears " I'm not asking if you're successful, I want to know if you are happy." Jackson has realized that his happiness resides with April by his side, even though he does care for Maggie.
i just can't help but feel that if Mark lived Japril never would've ended... he would've helped them through everything. the whole custody thing between Callie and Arizona never would've happened either... edit: Jaggie is gross. i respect Kelly as an actress, but I'm just not a huge fan of how she portrays her character?? idk. Sarah is just so much better imo
Watching this episode was so frustrating... I never like Maggie and Jackson together, I always thought that their relation ship was weird and very blah... I still can’t understand why the producers put them together romantically, in my opinion they would have work better as friends. When I see them in scenes like these that should be really emotional I find my self being amazed at how little chemistry the actors have. I get how the storylines could have worked out but seeing the actors lack of chemistry and how the fandom reacted to them I do not understand why the producers don’t break them up... The only moment I found myself being really sad was when Jackson talked about April and with every thing that is gonna happen, April’s absence will only be more felt and it just doesn’t make any sense ... I love Jackson’s character, I think that he is one of the most realistic character because he makes mistakes and his reactions, like when he couldn’t get passed April’s absence after Samuel’s death, or when he left early on this season... He can make decision that are messy and frustrating but he really shows that he is just human... Being with Maggie doesn’t work and I really hope they will end soon.
I can't believe they played with fan's heart so much. First they gave us an iconic love story. Then breaks them up and above that marries her off with mathew. And after April left, they again play with our hearts in season 15 where jackson regrets his choices and then in 17 where he talks about pushing the wife away and admitting not getting her over ever. But im glad and thankful that they gave them back to us. "Fingers crossed for new horizons" ✨
This scene is so heartbreaking. Jackson is still so in love with April and wants to be happy with her and their child but they couldn't work through things the first time and now that he is finally processing things how he should and more ready she is with somebody else but he wants it to be him, and he already once stood and told her how he felt when she was with Matthew but doesn't want to hurt her again or let her be unhappy. He would rather her happy with another than unhappy with him no matter how much he wants her. And I believe he does love and care for Maggie but is still in a way hung up on April. And I am a huge Japril fan and so wish that by the end of the show that they'll make them be together. I like the show but it is like they won't let anyone be truly happy which sucks. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
Jackson realizes now he should have fought for April now he has to live with the fact that she is happy with someone else and married.. but I am still holding onto faith that April and Jackson will end up together again ❤️
So everything that April wanted for them as a couple it takes now for Jackson to see. He sees god, he sees april pov and he maybe somewhat understands why april left when their child died. However the show was like lets make he be me to april, lets give april a shit ton of heartache then marry her off to the guy she left on her wedding day only for jackson to fully get it. All while getting it in front of his sister/girlfriend. Whoa Chile the bad writing
I love that the only heavily watched scene between these two is one where Jackson tells Maggie how he regrets his past choices about his relationship with April 🤣
So they split up him and April, they wrote April off, and NOW he realises he’s made a mistake and still loves April? This kinda bullshit is why I’m not watching anymore.
Worst decision Shondra ever made . April is the only one for Jackson. And marrying her off to Matthew did not change my mind. Some people are meant for eachother. And the way their characters were written this cannot change.
Jackson always knew April was the one. He just forgot because of his abandonment issues stemming from his father. He thought April leaving for the war zone to heal was April leaving HIM so he felt abandoned again. I don't think it's a coincidence they reconciled and slept together when she was helping him confront his dad. I don't believe for one second their big issue was religion. That's just Krista's shit writing. Japril endgame, I don't care how I get it anymore.
Their big issue, in reality, was Jackson’s immaturity and lack of respect. He multiple times didn’t respect her opinions and beliefs and acted like she was crazy, as much as he never talked about his feelings and thoughts expecting she just knew. Love Japril, but I really hope he fought so hard to get her back.
it means a lot that Jesse really doesnt like this relationship. Maggie/Jackson had way better chemistry as frenemies. The writing has been a mess since s13. Krista hates Japril but she didnt realize that they wrote Jackson as someone who He lost the love of his life because of ego. Now he is looking for the same connection but when he doesnt find it, he self sabotages the relationship.
I love Jackson and April. Derek and Meredith and Mark and Lexie deserve honorouble metion as well, they mean a lot to me, but no one tugs at my heart strings the way Jackson and April do. They came late into the show. They came in season 6 and became a couple at the end of season 8, they are not part of the original cast, but they are amazing and the best part of the show, neverheless. I have rarely been so excited over a couple and I am very grateful for them.
I could tell that Jackson was still in love with April. Sure he got with Vic and Maggie, but she’s his Derek. His big epic love and nothing is going to change that. So now that April and Matt have separated, I really hope April and Jackson get back together. They are meant to be
But Jackson (Jesse William) has left the show. He’s done with Grey’s Anatomy. Except they’d start another spin off with both of them in Boston doing Social Work with Catherine Fox Foundation.
The show’s writers suck big time, they time and again showed how Jackson was done with April. He wanted the breakup, he didn’t wanna get together after they slept together and April even said to Maggie she realised he has moved on because he looked at her the way he used to look at her. They gave April the worst exit ever, they made it seem like the love of her life was the guy she left at their wedding, really?! And now this, I’d love to see how they try and recover from this. We all know April settled because she couldn’t get Jackson but now Jackson has to settle because he let April go?! Also, TH-cam knows me Greys anatomy appeared on my wall for the first time since April left 😂
Nicol Castellan No. He is grieving what could have been because he is looking back on his marriage with rose colored glasses now that he has achieved some growth as a person. The truth is Japril ended cos April left him twice and refused to take responsibility for their marriage. He feels like it was his fault cos he didn’t believe in God then. It is just grief. It is human and normal. A lot of divorcees experience this even when they have moved on and are content with their new relationships. He never grieved the marriage before because he hadn’t achieved growth before now. Like he said, he is in love with Maggie. It doesn’t take away from him grieving the whole family that he lost and his daughter could have had. Same way him grieving doesn’t take away from the fact that he is in love with Maggie and wants to work through the kinks in their relationship. Maggie left cos like she said, opening up and facing tough conversations isn’t something she’s used to or knows how to do. She will grow though. Anyway stop twisting Jackson’s words. He never said or implied wanting April back, married or not. He even asked Maggie in a surprised and disbelieving way “you’re threatened by April???” cos it is ridiculous for her to be cos as he said, he loves Maggie very much. Him grieving what was doesnt change that. Not even a little bit.
This is such an important scene because they(krista) really kept trying to push that Jackson had 0 feelings left for april in s14 so Im glad they admitted that he hadnt worked through them & definitely still had residual feelings left that came to the surface when he saw her nearly die then get married & realised that he'd lost the chance for them for good. In retrospect, now that they're endgame, I love how these little scenes through the years can be construed as a rebuild back to Japril. That it was never fully over between them. Even his insistence on being "happy" for her can be read as overcompensation on his part. Even more delicious that Krista NEVER intended for it to be so but Japril came full circle anyway and even with April's absence, with scenes like this (& 1702 too), it still seems organic.
THis should not come to a surprise for Maggie. SHe witnessed first hand Jackon's reaction when April was almost dead. JAPRIL will ALWAYS be END GAME!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been a fan of Grey’s Anatomy for a very long time. Kept watching it even when many have stopped. I didn’t realize that I was only holding on because of Japril when they put Maggie and Jackson together. That’s the time I quit the show. I’m not going to watch those seasons that I missed but I would watch an episode of Japril getting back together.
This is me also. Same! When they put maggie and jackson together, i was ready to quit watching. I was only watching the scenes about april or hospital scenes, skipping jaggie scenes. Then they fired april from the show, April's accident episode was the last episode I watched. Then I quit the show, after months i came here just for japril episode, i don't care the other ones
I like this character development of Jackson, it shows that he has deeper thoughts and emotions. Even though I loved him with April, and I'm not a Jaggie fun (maggie is ok, i just don;t quite like them together), I don't think the producers are giving up their relationship. If I remember correctly I think I read something abou Maggie bonding with Hariet. But I like that his character is more complex. It just feels like a proper closure for his past self and relationships.
"Hey Maggie I talk like I'm still in love with my ex wife and regret our divorce, you just found out I've met this new woman who I talk to a lot and who sends me hearts and "miss you" texts, but I like you too! Just stay so I have all my options open, keep loving me and then I'll probably figure out if I want to stay with you, check out Kate, someone else, or my ex wife. Wait, you're leaving? Oh but why?!" Urgh men have become so toxic in this show between Jackson and Owen.
They never should have gotten together. The writers were so desperate for everyone to like Maggie and the gaggie story just made her drastically more disliked. No one won. Most especially not Sarah and Jessica. And it's fascinating that Jackson became April and Maggie became Jackson. I knew she was out that door long before she got up.
LittleDeliightful sure he does. As his family and best friend and mother of his kids. But as he said himself to Maggie, “I love you very much”. The only person he loves romantically is Maggie. Doesn’t stop him from grieving the loss of the whole family unit his daughter could have had.
@Dare to Love ur life agree, Alex said meredith many times in the show I love you, but still it would be Merder for us...and I truly respect merlex friendship...I would be lucky If i found that kind of friendship...
Liz B if you didn’t feel chemistry in Japril you have a problem, cause it has always been there, even when they were just friends and when she was in love with Derek. They are meant for each other and their relationship is beyond anything he will ever have with anyone else, not because of their kids, but because it was something that they had even way before they realised they felt for each other. It is PURE and we saw that when she almost died and how he suffered and was up to give up on everything he thought he believed just to have her back, to have a family. He doesn’t love Maggie as much as he loves April and this is a fact that is shown because he will never be able to let her go, not only as a friend, but as his love, as something he lost when he could have kept, she is his family, his lover and everything he ever wanted, and now that he knows he lost it, it hurts, but he is not selfish anymore, he stopped her to get married once and then he left her, he could never put her through that again, not after knowing how much she tried and humiliated herself to keep him beside her and he decided that it wasn’t enough, when clearly he was only keeping too many feelings for himself. That’s why he’s so up to talking about feelings now, that’s what he should have done with April and he failed.
The irony of the new showrunner saying that japril were "toxic" for each other and then she writes a scene/storyline like this for her favourite ship, a ship that I'm pretty sure is universally hated. First, he ghosts her and sends her a picture of a tree as an explanation (when April did the same to grieve the loss of her child and actually asked Jackson to come with her), then she makes Jackson emotionally cheat on Maggie with someone else while he was away because Maggie is too immature to have certain conversations (meanwhile Jackson was always the one to repress his feelings until we thought he learned his lesson in Montana), then Jackson implies to Maggie's face that if April wasn't married, he'd try again with her but he won't because he'd never do anything to take away APRIL's happiness and they just had bad timing. Meanwhile, Maggie is offended that Jackson still talks to April even though she's not a one night stand, they had two children together and shared a traumatic loss so they'll always be family to each other, but it's cute that she sees japril's adult relationship as a betrayal because she's emotionally stunted, right? Aside the weird step sibling issue, the most laughable thing about this scene is that they will work it out for sure. Except that Jackson is playdough in human form because he's gonna fit whatever drama Maggie needs to evolve into a less immature version of herself but Maggie will always be his second choice/step sibling, even if they end up killing Catherine, Webber, heart-emojis-Kate or even April.
No. He is grieving what could have been because he is looking back on his marriage with rose colored glasses now that he has achieved some growth as a person. I hated Maggie and Jackson so much, because I always felt he and April were end game. Finally with season 17 they gave him April back and I feel they did his exit justice, they gave him a purpose to leave the show ridding high.
To be fair, how would you react if your boyfriend suddenly began speaking to other women and then told you that he's still in love with his ex wife and that he wish to still be with her?
She can't handle anything emotionally. She immediately jumps to the worst possible conclusion and runs off. Jackson deserves better than that. He's been internalizing a lot of what he's been feeling and his girlfriend is not a goo sounding board. That's why he found it easier to talk to other women about this.
bluelocimon Jackson never said he is still in love with April. Geezus. And Maggie walked out cos like she said, she can’t open up without Delong like the world is going to end.
He clearly wants April back. The most these two have is some weird platonic friendship, I'm so glad they broke up PLEASE BRING JAPRIL BACK IT'LL GET THE SHOW ALL ITS OLD VIEWERS
Maggie's emotional state resembles that of a child plain and simple. If it gets too heavy emotionally, she immediately jumps to the worst possible conclusion and bolts. She can't handle it when DeLuca decided to not be with her and broke off contact. She overreacted when her mother visited, because she couldn't handle her mom seemingly getting plastic surgery. She assumes Jackson was proposing and runs off to buy milk. She can't handle keeping the information that Teddy is pregnant with Owen's baby confidential, and violates HIPAA And blabs to Meredith. And the first thought that jumps into her mind when she sees text from another woman on Jackson's phone is that he's cheating on her. Jackson deserves better. I can see why he talked to other women about these issues. Maggie is incapable of handling anything.
Japril loved each other...they are star crossed couple...I don't know how but when the series end it would be April and jackson together with Harriet ...they are the end game...and Mark my word...bcs it's all about faith and God, which I have that leads me connect to April bcs as a human being I'm more like April but as a doctor or as women im more like meredith grey... faith and God is always a problem in japril relationship...but now both found their faith and god then it would make them understand each other in better way..
I was so happy with this scene. Because what Jackson felt was exactly what I felt about this plot. It's frustating. The divorce was a rush and yeah it's on him. so glad that they ended up together. But I'd love to see Japril fought for their marriage through seasons not in one . The writers did that for MerDer. They failed Japril miserably
Ok but Jackson literally stopped April’s wedding and she left the alter to be with him and then the writers think it would be a good idea to split them up?
Well based on recent events it is not to late for you Jackson. You have your second chance!! Finally respected Maggie that she didn't waste time on a man who is in love with someone else
wait so she was lecturing him about how he didn’t talk to her and when she pushed him enough and he did, she cries and walks out because it’s too much for her i-
Those were my same exact sentiments during this scene. 🙄 Maggie’s a fantastic doctor she saved Bailey’s life multiple times, but these two were terrible. 🤢 he was at a different point in life than her.
@@adrianaavila8853 She's not a great doctor, her being the prodigy child and smartest in the room has been overhyped and done. She hasn't done anything that's worthy of nomination, no groundbreaking surgeries. She's emotionally immature and emotionally she's not available. She's an adult child who shouts the most to be heard, interfers with everyone's business and makes everything about herself.
So they destroyed japril and gave April (don’t forget) an improvised exit for this?? They had developed wonderfully a very nice relationship through many seasons because let’s be honest I didn’t like April at the beginning but I ended up loving her. And now Jackson in some episodes is in love with Maggie, seems forced to me, too much. The three of them deserved better.
April and jackson basically end up together because april and matthew divorced and jackson asked april if they wanted to move with him to boston. They basically wanted to start over with harriet (their daughter)
I'm just so glad that Jackson found God and isn't bitter about his relationship ending with April because season 17 gave us hope that they'll end up together now that they're both ready to make Christ the center of their relationship. Before, their relationship struggled because of her faith and his lack of faith and now he does! And sometimes we don't understand God's timing but He has perfect timing! Now, they're both ready to be together!
I feel like the characters chemistry fought hard against the writer so she just gave up. Go Japril. Jackson stopping the wedding is just so unforgettable and epic. That's not easy to break plus Jackson found God because of April
It's too late, we loved Japril and now after 1 year they realize THIS HUGE MISTAKE and think we'll just Watch april's return ? HELL no ! Jackson must fight for Her
No.
@@lizb1187lies. April is the love of his life and he knew it all along. He wasn’t in love with Maggie, even she realized that. It took him five minutes to start dating Vic after they broke up. And the fact that Japril was endgame proves he never really moved on
I’m tired of Maggie constantly talking about her genius, and talent like she’s a victim. She’s constantly victimizing herself and gives long speeches about how her life has been hard because she was brilliant. I’m sure all that was hard, but to have the her ALWAYS bringing it up in any situation gets old super fast
Destroying Japril was one of the worst decisions the writers ever made!!!!!
renaee morgan uhm Derek’s death?
AGREED.😭
What about killing off Lexi AND Mark... I never got over that
Agree 💯
Killing George.
It's good to Jackson finally realize and grieve what he lost, cause it was pissing me off that he didnt seem to care
Similar thoughts here. Although I wasn't pissed. But this scene was heartbreaking and....satisfactory? I guess that's it for me.
No woman will ever come close to April for him !!! She is his epic love, no one will ever replace that..

He destroyed every relationship of his, we don't talk about his flaws bc he's pretty. He should've never divorced April, even after she continuously tried to hold the relationship together

Raph Blueberry Me toooooooo!!!!!!
They destroyed Japril for THIS!?!
Exactly. Terrible, isn't it?
Yes they did... Stupid decision.
Amitha Alex yea☹️
Amo japril
"And now that I do, now that I *_really_* *_do,_* she's married.
*_She's_* *_happy_* *_with_* *_someone_* *_else."_*
That speaks so many volumes.
April is the love of his life and he just lost her....The writers screwed up with Japril as they did with Slexie....
And that's on periot
Beth Darvell yeah Maggie was so childish here. Talk to me....’omg I can’t, I just cant!’ Runs away like a 12 year old girl.
It took him 3 seasons to realize that April was the love of his life.
Sad he didn’t realize that the first time around when he crashed her wedding 🙄
They never should’ve let Sarah go. Japril was the endgame 😭
Valentina Lopez I know I know 😭

I know right ?! All of that for the sake of drama. No one stays happy very long 😡
I never saw the chemistry.
Definitely. U don’t see the chemistry between them both Maggie & Jackson. I hope 🤞 they change the writers, so April can come back.
BRO EXACTLY.
MAGGIE IS LIKE JACKSON'S AUNTIE
No chemistry whatsoever...their like brother and sister
They are step siblings..... 😬🤮
beCAUSE THEY ARE
They met when they were adults and they are NOT BLOOD OR LEGALLY RELATED
LOL I just realized that I never made that connection but now I know lol Jackson’s mom is dating maggies dad o.o
Darlene Ortiz not anymore

xSchnullichen Yeah but if Matthew died for some reason April could come back and Jackson could be that shoulder to cry on like he used to be.
They wanted us to know that it's impossible and that April moved on but we all don't forget how impossible and unbelievable it is for April and Matthew to be fine togather and how Sarah was fired to make room for jaggie.

this scene made me shout 'IN YOUR FACE'. No one really stood a chance when it comes to how Jackson loves April.
He litterly just said he would love it if it worked out with April in front of his girlfriend, wat😂
Man, of course she will walk out😂
Ya gurl that isn’t why she walked out. And him grieving the end of his marriage cos he thinks it’s his fault isn’t a slight on Maggie or take away from the fact that he is in love with her.
Yo Jackson Avery is too fine to be this inept! No one taught him how to love. He just says the wrong things with good intents
i think he's a Bastard for doing this
he hurt her feelings damn it
Liz B girl yes it is. He literally said that if he had believed in god earlier on maybe him and april have had a better chance and he i MOURNING a relationship he ain’t been in for over a year or too now because they could have been a family with her. He basically said because she’s with matthew now I can’t do shit about it
He’s so honest and yes, she needs a lot of space to process it!
She was annoy af. Thank God
Sarah Drew left because she was offered a role on a new show. As the lead. It’s still in production. It was her choice to leave
Martha Ramirez that’s not what happened. She and Jessica Capshaw were fired from the show
The truth is they tried to push this couple (Jackson and Maggie) into the public ... it just did not work out.
I feel like that tried to make 💩 into sugar. But the people didn’t fall for it, and now they are backpedaling. If it wasn’t broke, don’t fix it.
I’m biased because April was my favorite character also.
Jackson and april havr chemistry even when they not couple, even when they fight, even when apfil have hard time and jackson worried about her, its genuine. Jaggie its blah..

He was too hurt to see things clearly at this moment 😢
he literally just said that he still loves April!

@@tammy3545 absolutely
Jackson will always love April and ending Japril was one of the worst things to happen to Grey's because we were all so invested in their story even til the end.
This makes me so happy to see, because I feel like the April and Jackson divorce was so random and poorly executed. It didn’t make sense after how in love they were for him to just leave her so easily. It was like he didn’t even care. Like he snapped his fingers and was over her. I’m so glad they are finally giving Japril some credit again after building them up for SEASONS and then destroying them. Now we finally know where Jackson’s heart truly lies.
They made April and Jackson divorce for no reason...he eventually became spiritual and believed in God right after she remarried like💀💀

I lost so much time watching this stupid series. And the only reason was Japril. And at the moment when I knew that April will leave I was done with this series. I don't watch it anymore. If someday I start watching it again would be only if Japril reunite and get their happy ending together.
Stopped at the end of last season because of them writing off devoted actors. Popped in just for this clip. 😁

Always !!!!
Mark my words ...japril is the end game...
Dr Khushboo Agarwal Mark my words: only in your dreams... and your fanfic.
Let's see, I want to tell you one thing...I had a record I was never been wrong about the ending...
I think he started to realize he wasn’t only the victim on their marriage and that he hurt April a lot (specially after he got the divorce).
i just can't help but feel that if Mark lived Japril never would've ended... he would've helped them through everything. the whole custody thing between Callie and Arizona never would've happened either...
edit: Jaggie is gross. i respect Kelly as an actress, but I'm just not a huge fan of how she portrays her character??

Dare to Love ur life Yes that’s exactly like that! I wish the producers could see it too !
I find his character passive aggressive and aggravating. Not as sincere and open minded as he thinks he is.
Jesse William is acting so tremendously awesome in these highly emotional scenes. Missed that for a while; since April is gone.
What episode in season 17 did he talk about April?
I'm so happy to hear Jacksom still does love April. I never lied Maggie with Jackson. Jackson and April belong together.

Petition for April to come back
👇
Btw I’m liking my own comment
So they split up him and April, they wrote April off, and NOW he realises he’s made a mistake and still loves April?
This kinda bullshit is why I’m not watching anymore.
They end up together 😭❤️❤️❤️✨ idk if you seen the last episode. Japril is END GAME
@NICOLE LUIS they still end up moving to Boston. Let's just hope they do end up together
Kind of like the writers are admitting there mistakess
@@Evelyn-dl5df 😭😭💕💕💕
Worst decision Shondra ever made . April is the only one for Jackson. And marrying her off to Matthew did not change my mind. Some people are meant for eachother. And the way their characters were written this cannot change.
Agree
Jackson always knew April was the one. He just forgot because of his abandonment issues stemming from his father. He thought April leaving for the war zone to heal was April leaving HIM so he felt abandoned again. I don't think it's a coincidence they reconciled and slept together when she was helping him confront his dad. I don't believe for one second their big issue was religion. That's just Krista's shit writing. Japril endgame, I don't care how I get it anymore.
They are endgame😭
Period! 🙌🏻
HE NEVER STOPPED LOVING HER.... I HATE IT HEREEE
AND THEY ARE MOVING TO BOSTON TOGETHER!!!!
I knew it they would have come up to this point. I respect Maggie because she put herself first. She deserves far much better than this.
He finally realized what he lost after she was gone.
I love how he is so confused when he just told her that he was basically in love with someone else
Was there a reason the showrunner hated April and Japril? Was it ever said why
THis should not come to a surprise for Maggie. SHe witnessed first hand Jackon's reaction when April was almost dead. JAPRIL will ALWAYS be END GAME!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I stopped watching this stupid show.....if April comes back with Jackson....then i'll only watch again....but I hope maggie and Jackson break up.
Same
I haven’t watched a single episode this season... after they took April AND Arizona... done. 😒
I stop watch it since Derek died, it won’t be same since then 😒🥺
I don't watch Greys since April left!
SAME !!!
This is me
This is me also.
Who else thinks JAPRIL needs to happen AGAIN 😩❤️
now it makes more sense why April is going to Boston with him ! They are endgame !
He still loves April I swear if Jackson ever leaves this show or it ends they need to get April and him back together first
I like this character development of Jackson, it shows that he has deeper thoughts and emotions.
Maggie's a good character, but these two just don't have any chemistry. It just looks so out of place.
No chemistry at all.....could it be because Jesse Williams himself wanted a SL with April and Jackson working things out?
Theresa Pereira wait Jesse wanted Jackson and April to be endgame??
@@annieswitt he cried (for real) in the scene when April almost died
Oh Jackson..you love April😥❤❤❤
LittleDeliightful sure he does. As his family and best friend and mother of his kids. But as he said himself to Maggie, “I love you very much”. The only person he loves romantically is Maggie. Doesn’t stop him from grieving the loss of the whole family unit his daughter could have had.
Dare to Love ur life that’s your opinion. Chemistry is subjective. I never felt it with Japril 🤷🏽♀️
@Dare to Love ur life agree, Alex said meredith many times in the show I love you, but still it would be Merder for us...and I truly respect merlex friendship...I would be lucky If i found that kind of friendship...
Dare to Love ur life 👏👏👏👏 agreed.
April is the love of his life
Liz B if you didn’t feel chemistry in Japril you have a problem, cause it has always been there, even when they were just friends and when she was in love with Derek.
Ghita Torch This screams bitterness.
I've never read a comment that was more spot on. Japril will last forever for a reason!

LillyBelle951 there are a lot of dumb bitter Japril stans trying to twist this scene everywhere 🤷🏽♀️
I don't even like Maggie as a character but damn she deserves better.
I hated Maggie and Jackson so much, because I always felt he and April were end game. Finally with season 17 they gave him April back and I feel they did his exit justice, they gave him a purpose to leave the show ridding high.
they didnt give this exit, more like Jesse fought for it hard.
APRIL WILL ALWAYS BE THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE!!!
Maggie: "Talk to me." "Well try me." "Why can't you just talk to me."
Then proceeds to walk away yet again! 😑
To be fair, how would you react if your boyfriend suddenly began speaking to other women and then told you that he's still in love with his ex wife and that he wish to still be with her?
@@bluelocimon but he doesn't said that he's still in love with april
@@bluelocimon agreed!
The most these two have is some weird platonic friendship, I'm so glad they broke up
PLEASE BRING JAPRIL BACK IT'LL GET THE SHOW ALL ITS OLD VIEWERS
He never looked at anyone like he did april. Not Edwards, maggie, vik no one . April was is will be the one !
Okay, so you don’t have place for April, but you can still use her namr to take jackson’s story forward. Then why even seperate Jackson and April?
Rewatching this and no one stood a chance with Jackson. Everyone who came after April was never going to work because April was the love of his life.
Who’s here after finding out April is coming back? Hopefully for Jackson... 🥺
and they are both coming this week episode :) :)
April is the love of Jackson's life.him getting with Maggi was so random and they even said they never liked each other
Ok but Jackson literally stopped April’s wedding and she left the alter to be with him and then the writers think it would be a good idea to split them up?
I am thinking the same thing, that doesn't make sense and them Maggie of all people maggie. Kmt am upset
April and Jackson was something so true and magical, they shouldn't have been destroyed hopefully they reunite in s17😭
reunion was announced and will we be seeing her in a few episodes !!

Right she proved his point! He can't talk to her about anything, she walks away everytime
The fans have always known that it's just April for Jackson! These two never had chemistry!
Jackson and Maggie were great as friends and step siblings. Wish it had just stayed that way. There was no reason to ever have them date!
Endg
I feel like the characters chemistry fought hard against the writer so she just gave up. Go Japril. Jackson stopping the wedding is just so unforgettable and epic. That's not easy to break plus Jackson found God because of April
It's too late, we loved Japril and now after 1 year they realize THIS HUGE MISTAKE and think we'll just Watch april's return ? HELL no ! Jackson must fight for Her
This scene made me so happy ik he still had some feelings for April why she had to want to leave the show
Sarah Drew was fired because the showrunner didn't like Japril and knew fans would hold onto that ship as long as April was around.
But everybody still want them together and then forcing this relationship didn’t help none
