I love that meredith reminds us that it's not her or her mother's name on the hospital, but lexie's. so many people forget or think that it was done for them, so I'm glad meredith reminds everyone that lexie existed and was important.
I think people feel that way because when she was married to Derek and he wanted to go to DC, she told him it was her mother’s name, Lexi’s name and her name that was on the hospital.
Yes. Meredith and her mother are and were both amazing doctors, but Lexi didn’t get a chance to spread her name around yet. She was a great doctor taken way too soon. It would be like if Meredith were killed off in one of the earlier seasons, people wouldn’t recognize her work.
I hope she reminds herself once again that she doesn't owe ANYTHING to that hospital ( and in that sense it's the hospital which owes everything there is to Meredith for sticking there for so long) and leaves the hell out of that place and city too, because she is the one who deserves to leave the most and to not suffer from the decisions she made (wrongly) to salvage that place which she honestly did thousand times already

Jackson's body language when April came through was already proof that their back together. Elevator scene was the cherry on the icing but it's always been the way he looks at her😍.
I mean, we knew they would be back together after the 'new horizons' episode because they were already intimate in their looks, hugs, hand holding. And Japril fans know that they can't keep their hands off each other for long. But this episode was the 'irrefutable proof' for the nay-sayers. Incredible how much they've grown individually and they are finally on the same page and will have a strong, safe and loving relationship. ❤

Only reason I’m not mad at Miranda is because she’s pretty much hit rock bottom, everyone is gone, the program is gone, and her health is fading. Meredith deserves to leave after everything she’s been through, so it sucks that this is how it all ends for now. Next season mer will rebuild, probably with the help of old friends who return. Callie, Arizona, Cristina (probably not), Addison again, and now with Jackson and April. They rebuild it and the program comes back, and Meredith is able to leave and be great, or possibly stay but they end the show there.

Okay I know that everyone is ignoring the potential here but who better to rebuild the residency program than April? Everyone disregards the skills that April has, does anyone remember that she made the lab schedule back when she was Chief Resident and found a way for everyone to win? April, who learned by the practice simulations by Owen Hunt and who knows better than anyone how dangerous it is to make a mistake (like when she didn't notice the smoke inhalation)? People, April can do it, the writers just need to realize how amazing of a teacher she can be

Bailey did everything she could before she quit. She has a bad heart and a mental condition. Grey is indestructible in comparison. I don’t blame Bailey
But when I think about it, she gave everyone stress about leaving. And her main issue was she shortage of staff since people were leaving left and right. Like I think her thing was don't leave right now when they are extremely understaffed
I feel like her problem honestly had to do with the shortage of staff, she wasn't angry at Meredith for leaving really it was just about the hospital falling apart. And they really did stress her out the last few episodes she was working tooth and nails trying to save the program and all the doctors just decided to break the rules the same night and ruin everything. I would have left too.
This 2 episodes were so beautiful the flashbacks got me ! I am beyond happy Japril is endgame as we all knew they were . Just saying i wanted Mer to be Chief but i didn't mean like this!!!! I need season 19 now!!!!!

Omg, omg I can't believe we got our Japril endgame!! I shriek so loud I woke up my hubby. This is officially the best thing in the world and something I've been waiting for since season 12. Meredith will get her endgame with Nick, the writers are just leaving a cliffhanger for next season. I'm officially retiring Grey Anatomy on my list of shows to watch. I know this was a show that was loved by many for many years but I hope season 19 will be their last. All shows must come to an end. This is just my opinion please no hate.
I completely agree with you, and I actually stop watching Grey's on season 12. I have seen what things have happened through this videos or recaps from other you tubers, but I miss those first seasons... I mean this class of residents are awful, the past ones were always hungry to learn, to compete to become the very best and not taking No as answers and their character development was there, just remember Shane who walk right to Webber and told him he was taking charge of his education and he was leaving Grey Sloane to follow Christina and learn from the cardio God Christina Yang is. Jo and Steph always onto the next thing, Andrew fighting and never giving up when he was advocating for his patients, but seriously sometimes I want to slapped them to get them in shape (and that's only from watching these clips). For me the best medical tv show that has aired is ER, 15 seasons, amazing characters, focus on patients and damn they even took us to Darfur and saw a side of medicine we barely heard of; plus the creators new when it was time to end things and they didn't kill all the characters that left the show, they had valid reasons in their story arc to leave. For me it was the perfect balance of Dr's personal lives and the patients who were the focus on each episode and they didn't marry the same character with almost every one who they dated (yes I'm looking at you Owen... Seriously 4 engagements, 3 marriages and 2 divorces, dear Lord it felt like Latin soap operas that my grandma always sees). Plus ER made me fell more in love with helping people through improving their health care (I'm a nutritionist and register dietitian, for a while I heavily consider going to med school, but I knew my own health would suffer and I love what I do for a living, plus I was right to listen to my instincts since I have an incurable rare illness that has. Me on a wheelchair). I still remember that when ER was on its last season, Grey's Anatomy started its first. And I can watch a re run of ER anytime and don't get bored

I feel like her problem honestly had to do with the shortage of staff, she wasn't angry at Meredith for leaving really it was just about the hospital falling apart. And they really did stress her out the last few episodes she was working tooth and nails trying to save the program and all the doctors just decided to break the rules the same night and ruin everything. I would have left too.

But Bailey leaving I also agree with especially since she nearly died in an earlier season because of a heart attack caused by stress. She’s given the hospital everything she has and she can’t afford to keep on being that stressed anymore cause she has a baby to take care of now. Personally I feel like both deserve the right to leave but baileys I believe is more urgent because of her health and stress problems

It’s more than fair Bailey and Webber have gone to take care of their families and mental health instead putting the hospital at first like they always did. Meredith did the same when Derek died and the others had to stay and keep Grey Sloan working.
Watching all the craziness this season was worth it to see Jackson and April back together!!!

I feel like next season is the last season as she decided really quickly this year to come back but last year it came down to the wire so i think they're gonna announce this summer this will be the last season coming up as there just isn't much to do now as i predicted she was gonna stay and become chief. do a season like that and then bring back old characters for a episode or two and in the series finale show where everyone ends up.

Omg, omg I can't believe we got our Japril endgame!! I shriek so loud I woke up my hubby. This is officially the best thing in the world and something I've been waiting for since season 12. Meredith will get her endgame with Nick, the writers are just leaving a cliffhanger for next season. I'm officially retiring Grey Anatomy on my list of shows to watch. I know this was a show that was loved by many for many years but I hope season 19 will be their last. All shows must come to an end. This is just my opinion please no hate.

I have seen what things have happened through this videos or recaps from other you tubers, but I miss those first seasons... I mean this class of residents are awful, the past ones were always hungry to learn, to compete to become the very best and not taking No as answers and their character development was there, just remember Shane who walk right to Webber and told him he was taking charge of his education and he was leaving Grey Sloane to follow Christina and learn from the cardio God Christina Yang is. Jo and Steph always onto the next thing, Andrew fighting and never giving up when he was advocating for his patients, but seriously sometimes I want to slapped them to get them in shape (and that's only from watching these clips).
For me the best medical tv show that has aired is ER, 15 seasons, amazing characters, focus on patients and damn they even took us to Darfur and saw a side of medicine we barely heard of; plus the creators new when it was time to end things and they didn't kill all the characters that left the show, they had valid reasons in their story arc to leave. For me it was the perfect balance of Dr's personal lives and the patients who were the focus on each episode and they didn't marry the same character with almost every one who they dated (yes I'm looking at you Owen... Seriously 4 engagements, 3 marriages and 2 divorces, dear Lord it felt like Latin soap operas that my grandma always sees).
Plus ER made me fell more in love with helping people through improving their health care (I'm a nutritionist and register dietitian, for a while I heavily consider going to med school, but I knew my own health would suffer and I love what I do for a living, plus I was right to listen to my instincts since I have an incurable rare illness that has. Me on a wheelchair).
I still remember that when ER was on its last season, Grey's Anatomy started its first. And I can watch a re run of ER anytime and don't get bored

Now she's officially the last man standing and with everything just crumbled around her.. She can easily just crumble along with it, but knowing Mer she wouldn't let that happen because she has her kids, sisters, and now the hospital as chief. It's sad that she can't just let all of it go and be happy with Nick. I really hope the writers finally let her be happy next season😊
Side note: one of the reasons I absolutely love her character is because of how she is insanely loyal even when everyone is already giving her all the shit they could possibly give. If only she were a real person😂
OK Mer is loyal but I feel like it's time she foots down and bring the thunder that she had in S9 Medusa, S12 when she gave everyone peace of her mind starting with Amelia, and the sasyyness and badass she was in S16 to court trial leading one Dr to seizure and possible death I want her to bring that thunder and spirit of Medusa arise they need to respect her for once and stop seeing her as the young intern that she was, they need to see her as accomplish amaizing surgeon that she has become this thing of loyalty its good but they don't see it.
I love this episode by giving us seeing April, Harriet and Jackson the final time. Maybe we have a mini series of them in Boston.
