Arlene Sugden your department's false accounting is the cause of suicides - hounding Paying Parents for a fictitious debt which forces them to suicide is corporate manslaughter!
No transparency at all, your department marking its own homework stinks of corruption - how many thousands of children are without a parent because of your false accounting?

The CMS are responsible for an incalculable amount of misery. The entire system is an inflexible punitive disaster headed up by this callous misandrist. Her department has pushed well meaning parents to suicide under their refusal to take into account changes in circumstance or employment and adjust payments, instead they pile on arrears and increase the debt. They also take their fee's every step of the way. A vile corrupt inhumane department.
You have nailed that my friend, I have no words other than describe this barbaric system, pure evil. Every case is generic. Every case is not an individual case the hammer the hard-working dads who are present and provide whilst lining the mothers pockets all the way to the bank. Just like my ex who doesn’t work has three kids by three different dads has three holidays a year has Botox Eats out most nights of the week whilst I graft 60 hour week earning very good money to which she benefits from disgusting is that my daughter is nearly 18 and I’ve been paying child maintenance since she was three years old, every time I see money go out of my account into hers It makes me feel physically sick, I’ve always supported provided emotionally and financially for my daughter since she was born never once have I let her down, but I am being taken for an absolute mug! 🤬

Go pick a case, any case and see how these ignorant people are towards father's, then process why is the father not allowed to have a life to themselves. Or even support themselves in these times, Hence the pressure of suicide thinking, nobody wants to help.just crucify the easy working father's. Yet the mother can remarry, and still live her life the father pays the same amount of money, when the mother is living it up. This needs resolved, payments should be 50/50 regardless.
Split, if a father is expected to be 12% for one child then she should pay the other 6%. This may lead to father's getting to see their kids, where the mother cannot hold their father to ransom.
100% if you cant see your kids then the father should not have to pay nothing. It's the mothers alienation abuse. They need to be challenged on this. By the law.
The courts are a joke. Don't waste your money.
And the less a child sees their father, the mother gets more money. This is wrong in so many ways. Flawed system. Broken.
And is the opposite as to what should happen.
Parental alienation is a crime.
Mothers need to be held accountable more quickly for the sake of the child.

Its clear the CMS is run by the same malcontents and incompetents as its predecessor. I feel sorry for many of those who work in the agency who are forced to implement these controls, actions and policies. So far, in 2023, I am aware of over 40 fathers who took their lives and they specifically cited the the way the services delas with matters or the financial ruin they are put in by the services as a contributing factor.
Their internal review process is akin to asking if the SS or the Gespapo are paying the Gas bill - no-one cares, they have no humanity. (Before anyone jumps on the woke band wagon, I am not calling them Nazi's, just making an analogy any sane person would understand).
There is no doubt that Father's need to financially support their children, no decent human being would argue this, but the system has to be fair, it has to be just and it has to take into account the father's personal essential financial situation. In their first instance, they should be taking it to family court to get a court agreement in place that benefits everyone, noty just getting an attatchment of earning that then takes 40% of your income so the ex can have an easy life.

I don't want to talk about them but all I will say is they are evil. I get anxiety from even talking about them or seeing anything about CMS.
Cms breached the regulations twice with me and i informed my local MP who kindly took action for me.

There should be no woman at the head of cms, they cannot be objective and the whole cms smacks of vindictiveness. I got whacked with arrears in the thousands including for a period when i was very unwell and not working wouldnt give me an explanation of how it was calculated, ex has recived hardly any of it, still paying and my daughter is now in her 20s, lazy ex hasnt worked a day in the last 15 years.
Can cms revoke my driving license or is it all scare tactics? I'm a delivery driver 🤦♂️
They can but it would be foolish if they did, it would not be in the best interest of your children cutting off your earning capacity. I think it would be in breach of sect 2 of the Child Support Act 1991

I had a one night stand 8 years ago, told me she was on the pill, last year I got a letter demanding money from CMS and as I couldn't afford the 600 quid out of pocket I now have 300 quid a month taken from my wages.....they dont care.
I have tried to go to direct pay but nooooooooo because the CMS wouldn't get their huge cut!!!!

Unfortunately it can be right up to the day before their 20th ...... I am currently still paying for an 18 year old. Paying doesn't bother me, what does is the extortionate amount and the fact that when I follow the CMS rules it's illegal but when my ex does it it's perfectly acceptable.

It is similar to the Post Office scandal, but it is not just IT there is also the staff inputting inaccurate information. This is a scandal far bigger than that of the Post Office scandal.

The CMS is not a balanced system at all, it adds NO value to Children's lives.
The % applied for paying parents is too high, doesn't take into account inflation, or paying parents bills, is calculated on gross pay...this is what is causing financial struggle, mental stress, anger , anxiety, depression which leads to suicide in some cases.
The CMS have made up arears that further exacerbates the above.
When you challenge the CMS, it takes ages to resolve and it further exacerbates the above mental health issues.
The CMS is creating an incentive for RP to gain more money if the children are alienated from the paying parents. This causes mental health issues to Paying parents and more importantly the Children.
Solutions:
1) Total decomission of CMS and encourage parents to be amicable.
2) RP applies for CMS through court (that way Shared-custody can be included)...only then CMS get involved.
3) Reduce the % or calculate it based on Net. This will encourage Paying Parent to contrubute to childrens lives, without putting up a fight/struggle.

‘Her’ in my situation earns £40k yr as head teacher In Melksham (vastly more than me)
£7k yr hosting students so my son has to give up his own room often as well as never having his home to himself.
Court awarded us 6/14 nights (no reason given why not 7/14)
She has been given £40-50k( which meant I failed to pay my mortgage so lost our home….)already in maintenance and (extorted) nursery costs
Claims Pip, blags motorbikity benefits new car etc
Social services and police have rejected all her false allegations
Her lies have caused his school to blackball me…
And still being squeezed for the 12%
I’ve taken a large income cut ref last tax year…23-24… CMS only adjust from this may… bit the year I’ve had less money…
She is even contesting this
So despite CMS having access to ALL genuine HMRC info… they demand I prove my case further…
WTF….
Make absolute note if this and tell my son if I don’t come home one day….
