I've had a QN90B for a year now, and for the most part, the settings on RTINGS have been pretty good. But with things like blacks, everything black was the same shade of black, even if it was pinstriped. But after upgrading my phone to the Galaxy S10e 2 weeks ago, I was able to use the Smart Calibration tool. Holy crap... what a difference! Blacks now have separation, skin tones no longer have a yellowish tinge, and colors overall are more balanced. It defaults SDR to 150 nits, but I find that a little dim still, especially in darker scenes. But after setting it to 200 nits, it's perfect. I can see details in dimmer scenes, and blooming is almost completely gone. It even did the HDR settings. I wish I did this a year ago. 🙃
Great video. Especially useful was the ‘how to delete tv channels’ - also from there was adding favourites, which is useful. Just one thing bugging me! Can you customise the junk that gets displayed under “On Now”? None of the useless channels on there are ones I’d ever watch, so without the option to remove this feature, can it be changed? thanks!
Worked this out for myself. If anyone else is bugged by the garbage fed to you by "On Now", go into Samsung TV Plus, hold down the right button on the smart remote to bring up the edit channels screen, select all and Delete all the Samsung TV Plus channels (I just kept Red Bull TV) . For some reason "On Now" doesn't feature any channels you have left.. it just DISAPPEARS! Desired effect!
I have a samsung smart tv.... does anyone else experience horrible I mean HORRIBLE lag between the remote and the TV. I mean it is bad...like 10 seconds to load a page? I already did the update. And OMG when I use the 'internet' feature it is slow as a snail! I kid you not. I'm trying to scroll through pluto program menu and it's really laggy. Is that because they put a cheap a** cpu in there? I thought roku was bad...roku is just ad after ad after ad..and when you have turn off so many ads it will say you have removed as many ads allowed today... just a real POS!! So, I got a samsung. It has apps you did not ask for, did not want, did not download and you can't remove them FU samsung!! and the remote comes with proprietary buttons for streaming service I WILL NEVER USE!! With your help I was able to not only remove all of the rotten Fox news channels from my tv set, but I got rid of that POS annoying Samsung TV Plus garbage app that has plagued me since buying this tv. My old LG tv had a massively superior UI where it always resumed the channel I had on last before turning the tv off. The LG tv never made my life miserable by forcing me to deal with a stupid proprietary app like Samsung TV Plus every time I turn the tv back on. This Samsung tv will be the last one I ever buy. From now on I will go back to buying LG tvs. Now I know why the Samsung tv was less money than the LG model I wanted. You get what you pay for.

Usually your playing off of a source with low bitrate, you can try to go in the settings, picture, advance settings and play around with the judder until clarity or motion
The little solar remote that comes with the new Samsung TV's is worthless. First thing I did was order the bigger remote with all the buttons on it from Amazon. Problem solved.
The solar one is superb! Its small, light, made out of recycled plastic, its rechargeable but there are no batteries so the chances of fire is almost 0. The most important thing - its bluetooth so you dont have to point it directly to the TV. I love rewatching movies and series for specific moment so I fast forward a lot. Like the remote is 90% of the in my hand. Even when I'm watching with the wife we pause or re watch a certain scene a couple of times. The bluetooth comes in handy cuz I really dont have to care where the remove is pointed at. The best part is that is still have infra red and I'm not certain how or why but I can control my old stereo systems with it without pointing it directly to them. I love that remote. Got QN95C and the remote was one of the reasons I was so drawn to Samsung. The only downside I can tell about the remote is those solar panels on the back. They will easily get scratches. Oh yeah and the settings button is kinda close to the power off one. It takes some "ou sh*t" moments before you get used to it.
How does one get into the service menu to disable bluetooth support? I know theres a line of code that i need to change from "true" to "false" to make up for the poor design choice of not having an off button for bluetooth connectivity. Ive gotten ~100 pairing requests since i got this TV and it amazes me how a company like samsung can overlook something like this...

On my Samsung tv QN900A - the Set Up Voice Assistant is showing a Blank menu ( with No Bixby, Siri, Alexa on it ). I have unplugged the tv for more than 5 min and its still blank. What are you suggesting ? Cheers
I cut the cord and we use an air antenna and the internet connection for streaming. I tried rescanning and clicked on Both but my local channels from the AA still does not show up on the Samsung menu. Any hints tips to try? They show up under the live tv menu. Thank you! P.S. I'm having a problem with the cursor. I was using the smartthings app to control the cursor with my finger dragging it, and it was smooth just like on a computer. But now the cursor only moves in either x or y direction, meaning there's no more diagonal moving, and this bothers me a lot. Anyone knows what's going on & how to fix it? Most of the comments from confused people are probably iphone peeps. They aren't use to the massive capabilities of samsung. If apple made a tv it would be just as simple and boring as their phones with no multitasking or customization.

Samsung cu7000 85-Inch and when I play Xbox x or sony 4k blu-ray, it only says 1080p only. I don't know why. I also replaced it with the curve 85-Inch Samsung and didn't have the problem.
I need help finding a tv that is easy to use. Samsung's newer TV's just don't make any sense. Or it might be all newer TV's. I'm not liking the evolution of TV's now. The Samsung 7200 is such a pain to work with. It prioritizes tv plus over antenna so I can't select the antenna input. Matter of fact I can't select any input source. I miss the old days when you could turn on a tv and just watch it. I'm a pretty smart guy and 2024 TV's has my brain shook. So far can't figure anything out 😞

Not sure why picture modes are greyed out but you’re watching movies un cropped. This explains Anamorphic format is the cinematography technique of shooting a widescreen picture on standard 35 mm film or other visual recording media with a non-widescreen native aspect ratio.
Knowing that these connect to a mouse and keyboard, I can't imagine why anyone would even keep batteries in their remote? Are there upsides to a remote? A keyboard with trackerball on board might be nice?

Wow! unbelievably Samsung restores the crap channels back to TV Plus a few days after they are deleted. What a damn cheek!

Samsung cu7000 85-Inch and when I play Xbox x or sony 4k blu-ray, it only says 1080p only. I don't know why. I also replaced it with the curve 85-Inch Samsung and didn't have the problem.
I need help finding a tv that is easy to use. Samsung's newer TV's just don't make any sense. Or it might be all newer TV's. I'm not liking the evolution of TV's now. The Samsung 7200 is such a pain to work with. It prioritizes tv plus over antenna so I can't select the antenna input. Matter of fact I can't select any input source. I miss the old days when you could turn on a tv and just watch it. I'm a pretty smart guy and 2024 TV's has my brain shook. So far can't figure anything out 😞
Buy a roku 4k and just use it as a monitor. $30 bucks will save you headaches

Why is the picture mode option greyed out on Samsung smart TV? There are black bars unable to watch Netflix videos in full screen. Can anyone help please?
Not sure why picture modes are greyed out but you’re watching movies un cropped. This explains Anamorphic format is the cinematography technique of shooting a widescreen picture on standard 35 mm film or other visual recording media with a non-widescreen native aspect ratio.
Knowing that these connect to a mouse and keyboard, I can't imagine why anyone would even keep batteries in their remote? Are there upsides to a remote? A keyboard with trackerball on board might be nice?

I know you can change icon sizes on computer screens and phone screens. But haven't found this option on our Samsung 7200uhd.
