Mr.Simpson, I'm sitting here watching your turkey video from 2 years ago and I wanted to thank you for sharing what you know about The Big Easy. Your enthusiasm is contagious and makes me want to try to cook things I normally wouldn't try. Thanks so much!
Beautiful that exactly what I'm trying to do take the fear and anxiety out of cooking. This comment made my day Thank you so much for your comment and thanks for watching stay tuned for more great content
I seen someone using a metal box that hangs on the inside lip of the big easy. This person got the smoke chips burning first then put in box and then hung from side. I appreciate ur cooking tutorials. My pops got a big easy from a fellow camping friend and u have taught us a great deal on how to season the big easy and cook in it. Thanks 🙏🏻❤️
A metal box that hangs on the inside lip now you got me thinking. With a little help and a little outside the box thinking you will enjoy your big easy year round. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more great content
Rosel , I’ve been using the BE for several years. To get smoke, I bought a 9 inch 2 piece spring form cake pan, the kind that has the spring latch on the side that, when released, the bottom of the pan comes out. This will leave you with a 9 inch diameter circle. Center the circle in the bottom of the BE cooking chamber. This is leave about a 1 1/2 space between the edge of the circle and the wall of the cooking chamber. Sprinkle cooking (be sure they are cooking pellets and not heating pellets) pellets all around the small space between the pan and wall. Place your basket on top of the metal ring and fire up the BE. You will have smoke in just a few minutes. There is another advantage to placing the basket on the ring. The temperature at the bottom of the BE is cooler than the temp at the top which means things cook slower at the bottom. The metal ring is about 3 inches high which will raise the basket by three inches which results in the bottom of the basket being hotter. Long explanation but it works like a charm. Try it and let us know what you think. I enjoy your videos.
As soon as I read your comment I went to the cabinet to look though my cake pans. I have 3s and 6s no 9s but I will find something similar and give it a try. Thank you for the info thanks for watching stay tuned for an update coming soon.
I'm trying out my first Big Easy that I purchased at the flea market,It was brand new,I paid like $30 ,It came with everything complete,Your videos have been very inspiring and I think you have helped that company sell products after seeing your very southern hospitable way of doing things,It's actually quite nice to see during this strange time in our lives,Thank you so very much,I will be buying all of their accessories , Furthermore,I'm contacting the company and feel very compelled to share what you are doing quite regularly,I'm thinking you will get a very well received response my Friend,In fact,IT Might turn out to be something "BIG",That was in fact "Easy" ,Ps Love your best friend, Everyone needs a "WINGMAN" :) GOD 🙏 you and your family :) Thank you for the information
First of all congratulations on that great flee market find, secondly thanks for the kind words; this channel is meant to inspire. My co-host always shows up when it's time to eat but he is still my best and only employee lol. The fact that you would reach out to the company on my behalf is greatly appreciated and helps to restore my faith in mankind. Thanks you for your comment and Thanks for watching stay tuned for more great content.
I have also used a small smoker box with wood ships that have been soaked in water. Use a propane torch to get them started then set it in with an aluminum foil tent
I use chips and soak the for about 5 minutes in water. I wrap them like a burrito and stick them on the outside of the baskets, Give it a try.. be safe and cook on
I must have missed this comment I apologize. That is a great idea. Thanks so much I will definitely give it a try. Happy Thanksgiving thanks for watching stay tuned for more updates.
Is that the same as the 3 in 1 if so i saw it when i was doing my research, i was trying to find a cheap solution for those of us that own the originals, we may have the answer coming in a couple of weeks stay tuned. Thanks
450 is very achievable. I think I have seen 500 even. That's why I usually wait to put the solid lid on toward the end just like the original lid. Good question. Thanks for watching stay tuned for more great content.
Mr. Simpson, I watched your video about trying to use your Big Easy as a smoker. Your dome hood that you showed in this Video needs holes in it to help the smoke roll towards the top!. With that being said, the smoker you used on the side of your Big Easy to me is not correct. It should be at the bottom so it can flow over all of the meat. The side smoker you used just went straight up. It did not flow over the meat!. Add holes in the hood and bring the smoker a little higher in the cage, and it will smoke for you! I promise this will work!
I will buy another lid and punch some holes in it. The rest of the technique seems very doable. Thanks for your input and stay tuned for future updates.
I have never tried a brisket but I am inclined to say no. A brisket is low and slow with a lot of indirect heat not sure that the Big Easy is up to the task.
I thought about some kind of smoker box because the Bigger Unit has a smoker box cut in the side. Not sure how I would go about that. Soaking the chips and putting them in a foil pack works. Thanks for sharing thanks for watching stay tuned for a future update.
I am 3 minutes in and I like this fella already. I don't even care about how it turned out. Rosey has a charisma I can get a hold of!

@@roselsimpson858 I'll be looking forward to your new videos , sincerely Todd the tile guy
Natural lump charcoal. Start it in a starter then set it in the pan at bottom. Only takes a couple pieces. It does add heat so cook quicker
Sounds like that just might work especially if it cooks faster. Will give it a try. Thanks
I have also used a small smoker box with wood ships that have been soaked in water. Use a propane torch to get them started then set it in with an aluminum foil tent
Aluminum foil tent may be the added touch I need to make it work. Thanks for the suggestion stay tuned for updates Thanks for watching

Char Broil makes a model called The Big Easy SRG that has a smoker built in.
Is that the same as the 3 in 1 if so i saw it when i was doing my research, i was trying to find a cheap solution for those of us that own the originals, we may have the answer coming in a couple of weeks stay tuned. Thanks
Great video very interesting thanks for sharing
My pleasure thanks for watching
Rosella, where did you get your done?
I got it from amazon here is the link to a similar one that is well priced and has good reviews amzn.to/3RwPu2J
Whats the hottest you can get it with that solid lid?
450 is very achievable. I think I have seen 500 even. That's why I usually wait to put the solid lid on toward the end just like the original lid. Good question. Thanks for watching stay tuned for more great content.

Can you cook a brisket in this type of big EZ
I have never tried a brisket but I am inclined to say no. A brisket is low and slow with a lot of indirect heat not sure that the Big Easy is up to the task.
I think it's the grease preventing smoke.
I think you have a point
Is that a cow or a Great Dane!? Good Fitz.
The local police actually asked my wife to stop riding him in her VW convertible because it was causing too much of a disturbance in traffic...lol
How about a smoker box for a grill and soak your chips ahead of time
I thought about some kind of smoker box because the Bigger Unit has a smoker box cut in the side. Not sure how I would go about that. Soaking the chips and putting them in a foil pack works. Thanks for sharing thanks for watching stay tuned for a future update.
its not gonna work, the drippins are stoppin it
Agreed...but several people have shared suggestions from using Aluminum foil to burrito wraps that I think might work. Thanks for watching
