    That turkey looks really amazing! That Char Broil Big Easy a great job and did it very easy! Looks like ya'll had a great day at work! Turkey is good to have any time. We smoke a turkey or turkey breast from time to time. Thanks so much for sharing Mike! Stay safe and have a great weekend!

      Thanks again Charley! Yes these smokers do a great job plus the grill works great too! I love turkey as long as its smoked right or even fried. Great thing about this is you can have fried turkey without all the oil! Thanks again for checking it out and have a great day brother!

    That is just plumb terrific. I have the original Big Easy and do my thanksgiving turkey in that all the time. Don’t know why we only do turkey on thanksgiving. Great way to feed a crowd. Thanks Mike. Hope things are going well for you. Take Care.

    No need to wait for Thanksgiving to smoke a turkey! I was just about to ask what the location was but then you answered that, you're at work! Jessica knows good food when she sees it! Broccoli Salad, the rolls, Devilled Eggs what a feast Mike!

      That's my thinking too Patrick! Ole Jessi sure enjoyed that juicy turkey lol! I must admit those girls make some good broccoli salad and deviled eggs too! How do you usually cook your turkey, Patrick?

      @@MrCastIron The few times I've cooked turkey it's been in the oven Mike. My best result was one year when I brined the whole bird for 24 hours, it was awesome!!! Another favourite of mine was roasting one stuffed with butter and bacon, that worked out pretty good too!!!

    • @MrCastIron
      @MrCastIron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Butter and bacon!!?? Wow now that’s sounds like a great idea Patrick! I may have to do that sometime. I love using this Lodge Smoker Roaster Grill but every once in a while I’ll cook one in the conventional oven too. How did yours turn out? Was it as moist as you would like or was it kinda dry?

      @@MrCastIron I'd say for my first time ever making a turkey it came out great and everyone loved it! My only issue seemed to be that the side of the turkey closest to the smoke outlet was dryer and a little more overdone compared to the rest of the bird. I'm going to try either putting a little foil on the basket to block the direct smoke or rotating the basket occasionally as it cooks. But I definitely expect next time to be even better. Thanks again for an awesome video man! Hope you had a great a Thanksgiving!

    Looked very very good! I thin CB discontinued those Big Easy SRG grills. What a shame, they look like a convenient unit.

    • @MrCastIron
      @MrCastIron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I think you may be right Big Lew! I looked at their website, and all they have showing is the turkey fryer like you just bought! Amazon still shows that they have them though. I love this SRG for the simple fact that you can add a little smoke to your turkey or whatever!

    • @DLong-wp8su
      @DLong-wp8su 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the product is discontinued. For that reason, I purchase 1 today. I like the smoke and grill option with the SRG. It is also little bigger than the gas Char-Broil that come with the mesh lid version.

    • @MrCastIron
      @MrCastIron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess it wasn’t a big enough seller or something, and I don’t know why because I love the SRG compared to just the Big Easy. But on the other hand, if the Big Easy were all I could get, I would still get one. You can check here to see Char-Broil Big Easy Smoker amzn.to/3jiAu6e.
