I personally still have alot of fun in this project. But the current state of SC is aweful, alot of issues and bugs. The current server infra cant keep up with the players, the features and even the gameplay elements. CIG needs to step up their game.

I can't even put furniture in my hangar without a dumb box..
At the very beginning of the game, they had a landing radar, simple but quite usable, and those were the time of very small ships. All of a sudden, they removed it for no reason, claiming they were gonna make it better. 10 years later, it's not even mentioned. The year is 2954 but the tech is 1960 tech, all clunky buildings with only 30% of their entire volume usable or habitable. All ships except a very minute few, have their pilots seated in a punishing position, as though the intent is to make sure he fails. There's a lot of examples to take inspiration from, but CIG takes their inspirations from boats and cars that are planted on surfaces, instead of flying vehicles (planes and helis). It's a complete joke. I've put in $1,700.00+ on ships, some of which haven't even been made, yet they're making new ships.
At this point it's ridiculous. And I don't blame them, I blame their shills that come on TH-cam to tell us that Star Citizen is the best thing that ever happened to mankind. You see them praising an obviously bad ship, pretending it's a masterpiece, you can't help but ask yourself if these folks live in an alternate universe.
Anyone remember "hover mode"? And the asinine explanation of its function by the boss himself, how according to him "a helicopter comes in and wobbles and wobbles while trying to land, and that's the coolest thing, so we had to do it.." (paraphrasing, of course). Never mind the fact that said ship has no rotor disc, and not only that, there are several thrusters that can balance out the hover and make it literally stand in one place while tilting, also never mind the fact that a ship like the 890J which I own, is so big that you can't just land it by guesswork. It needs a landing camera and landing radar. But rather than provide those functions, let's make it 5 times more frustrating to maneuver because it looks cool.
Next was "hIGh-SpeED cOMBaT" which did the exact opposite of the name. Then MaSTEr mODeS! All presented as though they'd make life easier, but do exactly the opposite, or even worse. In 2954, your guns overheat after every 5 rounds fired. In the F-16, you just need to fly the aircraft and fire the weapons using the available weapons pages and HUD. That's a 1960 aircraft. In 2954, you have to have a calculator and pen and paper to calculate and triangulate the shots, and oh, don't forget reassign power to the shields, and then reassign to the guns in order to fire, and then reassign to the engines. What?!
It's been 12 years or so since I started with this Star Citizen, and at this point, I'm not holding my breath.
I've spent a little over 1500 over the years and I do really like the game but I honestly haven't played it in the last 3 patches. It makes me mad whenever I do. I can't believe you are playing it. I kinda want some of my money back, I feel ripped off.

The same thing. The only way to get your money back is to sell your ships on a grey market till this option still available. I did this during 3.23 tests. LTI ships of course:) So I have 100$ start package and a concierge status now ;)
Weapon changes, how collisions and shields work… all that was irritating enough, but master modes was the final straw. I uninstalled some time ago. Occasionally I look at a TH-cam vid. Aside from that I’ve lost just about all interest. Unless they get flight to something enjoyable I’m guessing those thousands I spent were a big mistake.
just ask your bank for a charge back stating the product you preordered is completely different to what you recieved the devs aren't going to liek it and probably freeze your accoutn but you should be able top get your money back

It is sad that a freshly released indie game, Star Trucker, is more of a finished and stable game than this.
I've been playing the shit out of that game and think it's awesome. A docking mini game, EVA's to fix your ship, subsystems that break down and you can fix, and lots of star systems.
So what if Star Citizen will do it better one day? They're not doing it better today.
This whole debacle of a game is just laughable. I actually feel sorry for guys who invested heavily in ships in good faith. Only to be rewarded with the nonsense very well highlighted in this video.

I've had a Carrack since 3.23 and sincerely I thought it would one day have its cargo modules before 3.24 as the retalliator received them but it didn't and I'm disappointed.
It seems that the ship has been broken directly or indirectly with each major update.
- Respawn system change: Any vehicle with a medical bed can be used as a respawn point.
Why take a Carrack if a Usra medivac (the vehicle that changed the system) does the job?
- The medical bed is broken and unusable. Forced to respawn to heal.
- 3.24 just killed the carrack, which has officially become a piece of trash. There's no reason to take it out except to do FPS missions IF you don't have a RED cutlass, c8r; ursa medivac.
As much as I want this game to succeed it never stops dissapointing me over and over again? They promised us technology that they just can not realistically make playable, and it's been almost 15 years now since development. And don't even get me started with all the money they got from Founders (like me) and backers. This is a disgrace.
Game doesn't even walk you through basics 10 years later... The constant ship output makes a new player feel like the game has momentum, but it doesn't. Year one ships still don't have all the basic features either. Our big ships were just traps. Meanwhile No Man's Sky has me fishing an endless universe.

The best thing that could happen is if somebody comes along with private funding and just rips off the entire game and builds it with a new team and releases it, with a new name. CIG goes out of business. Done.

Qanga on Steam is looking pretty good as a potential. Some way to go, may fail. But they got the right idea. Much of the concept is ripped-off from SC. Spacebourne 2 had promise, but I think they've hit the wall now.

Played a couple days ago..and the amount of jank, boredom, bad flight experience, bugs, etc..was just on another level..we're like 11+ years in folks.

Chris once punched a Pub exec in the face for demanding changes to his game. They wanted to dumb it down, limit the scope. The Pubs wanted cookie cutter games they could profit highly off of by just swapping out back drops and models while using the same rudimentary uninspiring mechanics the industry has deemed the standard. They even started teaching that standard in the classroom to keep new devs stupid, and compliant to their masters. Remember Salacious B. Crumb.... there are 1,000s if not millions of them out there now on the social platforms ridiculing or deeming those who aren't compliant to the masters. They are loosing the war, and are cheating any way they can to maintain their diminishing control over the masses.

Yeah, I was bitching about unfinished ships and crappy ship combat under master modes just this morning. CIG is a "half-ass" company that does "half-ass" work. If you disagree, you are wrong. Sorry. I have only spent $130 on this game so far. I will not spend more because I truly believe this company is going to fail.

wouldn't the storage option to simply drop the item on the ship somewhere? I think the idea is that everything is physicalized. which sucks in some ways, salvaging ships is cool, but getting the salvage material to a place where I can sell it is basically hell at his point. I do not want to move a single box at a time. Life is too short and it is anti fun. Jump town boxes are fun because of the huge payout and the risk. running cargo and moving boxes to make slim margins just seems insane.
sometimes iteration has low points like this. hopefully they can pull it together next year. other games are going to catch up soon if they are not careful. also, other games are actually games. This is more of a simulation, which is a much smaller percentage of players. sim games can be interesting.
At this point I would be curious how many backers have died before ever seeing a finished product.

The introduction of master modes is what killed this game. If they go back to the old flight model people will come back. Sure it was buggy, but flying was fun. Dogfighting was fun. Dogfighting was cinematic. It was awesome. Now it's just not fun. At all. I want this project to succeed, but I want it to succeed pre-3.22. 3.23+ is trash and doesn't offer anything worth playing for. So for now, star citizen is dead to me.
Any module in dcs u can try free for 2 weeks before u buys yes they're are free.mpdules with clockiable cockpits like the skyhawk

We have one last hope. That attendees at Citizen CON or whatever tf it's called (appropriate CON name anyway) decide to get real vocal and lose their excitement for the game despite shelling out tons of cash to be in the same room as the chief honcho scammers and lay it on the line. Imagine a protest group on the inside there causing a fuss. Streamed live, not gonna keep that quiet. It will be done and dusted and re-published all over YT and Twitch, and the game will be declared dead. Then the Fraud Squad can move in and clean up.

Most rewarding gameplay is checking boxes at friendly bases ? Where are the pirates mercenaries etc.. did enemies go extinct in this game because it sure has a few of them around.
Why didn't CIG get rid of old inventory UI when introduced a new one,now we have two personal inventories to switch between.So lazy...

One of the reasons people are asking how to do certain things in the game, is because they keep changing the key binds. Check your key bindings list, you are most likely carrying your helmet and need to equip it from your quick menu (alt+f).
yeah saving the money to buying buildings was the last drop in the scam jaar, specially in Canadian area where it is already financial scam bubble and company just loosing money with that there in future, except if its a scam money so money dont matter.
We're all angry for giving this game a chance and investing but making the game dumbed down for everybody is just spit in the face for people who have played for years with very low expections and just enjoyed the universe
This game is already so technically broken with those years of spaghetti codes and aging tech that they're better off just starting again from scratch. Get rid of roberts, use a different game engine, have a realistic vision, focus on building a foundation first, and they would be able to actually deliver a game in a few years.

sure, its just about going up and elevator, buying a box, going back to the hanagar, bring the ship up, go to the lift and send it down. Get the box in the lift, get it back up, open your ship, make sure you have a damn multitool otherwise you are fucked, move the box to your ship and hey, just repeat every single fucking time you blow up or the game crashes for no fucking reason. Its not as if anyone would have a problem with wasting an extra 15-20 minutes every time you want to use your $300 to $600 ship because they cant get their fucking act together and bother to add some storage to the shit they already sold you. am I right? 😄

It is SC its since day one how to deal with bugs and find workarounds. If this is nothing for you it is perfectly fine then play games that are released and have some years with patches post release. Why play a game you don't like? Makes no sense.

I sat out the whole 3.18 patch cycle because the game didn’t work for me. I left my subscription running and waited for the game to come back while I did something else. Might be time for you to take a break. You are spending money on and complaining about an early access. Pull out and wait for 1.0 Hell, you might want to wait for a couple patches after that. It’s a lot of ships missing inventory, aurora, nomad, 100i Avenger titan …. They removed magic inventory system that affected a lot of ships not mentioning now all ships with fucked up missing inventory system now need rework and cig will need to add some type of inventory to ships they don’t have it anymore

In the Carrack there was a hidden storage wall left of the medic bed. Had that been disabled?
Yes, people need to buy SCU crates now for storage. The storage on the ships is very basic and small. These crates can be used in your personal hangar and your ship(s).
@@taskforce876 Id have no problem with that if crates didnt get lost or phased thru the hull. Funny though as advances the star citizen world is, a ship cant have a glove compartment. I see crates used more for moving items between objects, like other ships. cheers! At least crates are Org sharable.

i got my gameplay for my money. only got an aurora starter pack. played around 200h and still play 3-4h on each patch . problem is that some invest in a dream more money than they afford to lose and fall into mental breakdown. star citizent is way better than elite dangerus even whit all the bugs.

You are still previewing an alpha development version of what will eventually be a game. I hope it succeeds, but until they announce the "gold" release, I'm not going to waste a bunch of time on it other than checking out the progress a couple times a year.

I use to love this game even with all its problems but the last 2 updates have been crap nothing works they took away my 80 million space bucks and not to mention all the gear that disappeared I just gave up aint spending any more money on this it's a waste of time it just a suck fest garbage game to bad it had so many possibilities but I'm sure now it's just about making real money star Citizen sucks the reality of a scam but I give them that they are filthy rich now good job guys your rich.
