It would work and make a good tension and logic though the logic is bollocks as pointed out, if they could fix all the issues, but they can't fix bugger all except money making elements as said the can't fix lifts and the ground or getting stuck in walls

Seems like the only place I can play reliably for the past week or so is ArcCorp. Hangers/Elevators/Missions (what limited selection there is) seem to work well for me there, but everywhere else is huge input lag and a host of assorted bugs with inventory, missions and more.

With reach target location not working u need to be in km range mm gm will usually send u to the sun if your in km range it always works

Dude never spent the time to even turn his weapon systems online, if you don't power the weapons, they will not target enemy ships, "stupid modes" he called them, as he's literally appearing to forget the difference between modes and that you can't fire missiles in nav mode. The fact that it took you that many missles for a Freelancer anyway is embarrassing. Trust me, anyone interested in SC, do not listen to this guy, he's just an angry, whiny, sad, lame, click bait champion, and honestly knows jack squat about this game and even how it's supposed to play. It's been pretty normal, we knew very well 4.0 would have a rough start and that it would take a while to fix, it happens a lot with some of the patches that bring in new systems

personally I feel that NMS is boring. No skill involved with flying or shooting or doing anything really. Feels like a game for someone wanting to get into gameing in general. You cant really compare it with SC, they are not catering for the same audience.

My real concern is that even if everything was working flawlessly I don't think it would still be fun as a game to play.

If you play the game for a while, recent descoveries replace extremely old ones. That is why, if you enter a system you haven't been in a while, you may have to re-discover them again.

i dont think CIG can make players care about a game life but i like it because its worth trying something never in a game before... it make people consider their actions more than log in and kill or be killed... its way to soon to implement this tech now, but i want this feature for sure this is 1 of the many features i paid $14,000 for... space will be dangerous for all but most of us will avoid death by run away or hide or other safe decisions... the players who risk their perma death the most are the pirates or other PVPers... most of us may live months without a death if we get a playable game some day but right now death can be as simple as i forgot my helmet and i get out of pilot seat but need to take a bio break and when you come back you realized your ship has a small closet of no life support so you suffocated. death of a space man should be at or after 1.0 death is not 3 times or 1000 it is chance based!!! if you die in a ship explosion your chance is over 50% you will perma die... if you are killed in a bludgeon you have a 25% chance of limb loss if you are killed with a bullet you are 10% from a crippling loss... your # of deaths greatly vary based on how you die or your luck..... the 100 deaths is a reply to the players worried about death when they were selling the nursa.... todays game looks nothing like tomorrows game.... we have a lot more tedium and features to be implemented like armor and shield resistance where will at that time make large groups of twitch players get bored and fire tedium wont help then the death of space man will be the nail in the coffin for the players who has enjoyed the PVP but have no interest in a SIM... this is good bye to them... CIG will already have your money from the F8, F7A and the connie you bought now the game has to much tedium of a SIM and really discourage arcade play style of die and fight cycle...

I love the idea behind death of a spaceman. You keep your things, but it also adds real risk and cost to death, like the gaming of old.

This comes across as super ranty, the project has been around so long there are clearly going to be things that won’t be able to happen now because they don’t fit in with the latest direction. It really isn’t all that serious, ultimately it’s a game and no one is forced to play it.

In a perfect game, that didn’t have the newly added contested zones with constant pvp death maybe. But CIG basically removed our shiny military components from the market and jammed it in a death arena and expect us to be okay with “degrading” no, I’d be okay with loosing some kind of “skill” based on how long that character has been alive and in combat, but nothing more than that is ever acceptable.

1 too many elevator bugs or falling through a planet hell 4.0 i stepped off of my ship and died, Hardcore one life maybe but thats more a game like POE or WOW

Was gonna upgrade to connie tauras from my titan ... 4.0 dropped, playerd for few days . Diched the game and bought 3 other games in the same 125$ that was reserverd for the upgrade . Never been more satisfied with my choice.

Gotta disagree, just losing items and vehicles is an impotent risk to make death meaningful in the game so it’s not just a backspace cheese fix
