Turned out great, love the 2 tone! I'm very interested in how you taped the inside so well not to get paint on the inside, giving it a very professional look
Thank you! People automatically think premium when they see a crisp line on the inside. It’s a bit time consuming but definitely worth it! We try to find anything that resembles a line in the area and go off that. If there is none we just measure about an inch in from the edge and try to keep the lines consistent. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just has to be close. No one is going to pull a tape measure out and measure each line before paying for the piece thankfully 🤣

I'm usually very much against painting solid wood MCM furniture because it was so beautiful to start with. This was a tasteful upgrade that still showcased the really unique natural features of the wood with the accent cuts, and I think it was done very well. I usually hate it painted because some dumb farmhouse style loving woman wants to go all chalk paint and "distressing" on it and it makes it look and feel cheap, and it's ugly as hell. I gotta ask about the limosine leather paint, though. Is it a textured paint or was it an additive?
Whenever we paint a piece we try not to damage the bones just in case someone in the future decides to refinish it. Our area also loves this style lol. Limousine leather is just the name of the color from the Behr line. You can use all the colors with the chalk paint not just the ones on their pamphlet
When we were peeling off the paper @5:33 it really did look like leather😂 were in love with this color!
