    You have the most healthiest hair I have seen on UTube for ever. You must be doing something right. My hear is about your length. 8 years of persistence care.
    I have used the Chabe oil for years and noticed that it strengthens the hair; therefore, the length is retained instead of breaking. So I would say it aids in hair growth, eventually.

    You’ve inspired me to use the chebe powder I have languishing. I did my first traditional application on Monday. It wasn’t as messy as I thought. For the mixture I threw together conditioners I haven’t used in awhile with almond oil. So far so good. No irritation and I’ve been noticing that my hair is retaining more moisture. I don’t know how long I’ll do it for but I’m excited to see what comes out it. Thank you for sharing your journey

    Hi Maya! I tried chebe the traditional way on Tuesday this week. I was going to twist it because I typically twist my hair taught, but I changed my mind and plaited/braided it. I've had minor irritation, which I've attributed to my plaited hair touching my scalp. I cleaned those areas and moved on! So far, so good. I can't wait to see how well this holds up over the next week! I love watching you do your hair - it gives me energy while doing my own!❤❤

    I am familiar with Amla that you mentioned but I didn't realize that you could leave it on your hair. My hair stylist mixes it with deep conditioner and steams my hair but she does rinse it out. Leaving it on the hair is new to me.

    Been waiting patiently for my package to get to me so I can finally start my chebe journey. Ive bought the powder. It’s finally in the country so any day it should be here. I’m upset I only bought one package after waiting all this time for it. Will also be documenting the process. Here’s to staying moisturized and retaining length 🥂

    ive also been using chebe powder for a few months now but ive just been doing medium-small twists with mine just [interchanging the twists and braids every other week] cuz I like how I style my hair day to day with twists, and seeing good moisture retention with them. if you like twists as you said previously maybe try with them a bit smaller then your usual, ofc the braid will still be more of a moisture retention style :)

    Is there a difference between the two brands of Chebe powder, do you prefer one brand more than the other? Is there a difference in grown and hair thickness between the two brands? I’m asking because I order from Sahel Cosmetics and never received my order or tracking information and they will not answer my emails. I would like to try the odara brand but not sure if it is authentic compared to Sahel.

    • @KlassicallyKept
      @KlassicallyKept  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The difference I notice is the smell. The chebe powder from Odara Naturals now Dara Bodyworks smells spicy, almost like someone is cooking. The Sahel cosmetics smells straight from the motherland lol. I am bad with smells but the Sahel smell like smoke and it is strong. Sahel also sells their product on Amazon.

      You are very correct with your response. Your perception is same as mine. I produce Original chebe with the original chebe Ingredients with proofs and honestly when i bought sahel's as sample it smelled like smoke and not spicy. Haven seen the original ingredients i see nothing in it that should make it smell spicy. Infact chebe seeds smell so nice and the two spice there are cloves and mahleb. I feel that spicy smell is either not made with original ingredients or just as a result of difference in perceptiong. sahel's chebe smell smoky because the cheb seeds were overly burnt in the process of roasting. You know It is not controlled machine roasting. I understood this since i produce and supply in bulk.
      I got a customer in US who gave a specification so i had to add just a little more percentage of cloves, mahleb and djaoui to her order and it came out BETTER than what she expected.

    • @KlassicallyKept
      @KlassicallyKept  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hello Michelle.
      With the chebe powder you will definitely not be able to wear a wash and go ( you can but chebe will be everywhere).
      With the chebe powder I either just put my hair up or wear headwraps. You can style your hair as usual with the powder: high bun, low bun, twisted or braided to the back, just no loose styles.
      I am def going to try the twists with the chebe powder.

    How do you think this method would work for one who does mini braids with natural hair, no extensions? I want to use this, already made the purchase, was going to do mini braids as a protective style, but now wonder if I should do larger braids. 🙂

    • @KlassicallyKept
      @KlassicallyKept  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Tiffany!
      I would suggest doing larger braids, the amount of time you are going to spend applying your mixture and then the chebe powder is going to be astronomical. You could apply the chebe in large sections and then break up your hair for the mini braids, but I would stick with larger braids.

    Can you do a video for short short how to avoid the scalp

    • @KlassicallyKept
      @KlassicallyKept  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I am not sure what you are asking, but to avoid the scalp you do not apply it to the scalp. When I first starting using the chebe powder I did not get close to my scalp. As I got more comfortable with the application process I inched closer and closer to scalp without getting it on my scalp.
      If you are asking about how to avoid if you are trying to apply chebe to short hair, you cannot. If you are referring to a TWA. I say that because once the chebe dries it will fall on your scalp, you will have to wait for your hair to grow out a little more.

      You can apply it but you would need to wash it off otherwise try applying the butter or cream or instead chebe Oil. These should have less chebe in than the actual powder as your hair Become braid able you can apply the powder trad way. Original Chebe Does grow hair i have seen hair at neck get to waist length within a year but you have to be consistent like the chadian women. If you can't in what ever way you choose you would still get the length retention result.

    NIce video. I produce original chadian chebe and i sell in bulk incase you need a supplier. I have video proof of all original chebe ingredients and my processing into powder. Feel free contact me.
    Scalp irritation depends on the user. I have seen someone who used my chebe and karkar to clear off a long time dandruff.
    I don't advocate loading it on your scalp when you are not washing it off immediately because definitely it would clog the pores and i believe the chadian women don't apply to their scalp because they done wash it off.
    Its Just like loading conditioner on your scalp you would get a dandruff caused by build-up of product.
