Where they record her voice telling us, the listener, a story that calms us down and relaxes us to sleep. Like a lullaby or how you find those soothing nature sounds that help us sleep on TH-cam, like the ocean, waterfalls, rain and wind sounds.
I put this on my “watch later” to listen to while i do my Saturday cleaning. When i tell you i was so in tuned i just had to sit down n listen i thought i was there with her. I became a music artist and badu is always my way back to source, back to why I wanted to make music in the first place. It takes me a while to release and get back to myself, after talking to certain people about their issues because I absorb whatever it is that they are feeling. It was as though she was talking to me directly. When i had came to an understanding of who I AM, listening to her songs was like Ms.badu reinforcing me the statement that "i'm not going crazy", That this spiritual journey is real, so don't worry i'm here to guide you although I can't PHYSICALLY be there with you. Ms. Badu i'm definitely growing, and I hope to sit with you one day and spend hours conversing with you, drinking and absorbing your spiritual milk!!!

This woman is amazing I’ve been so enlightened by everything about her since I was 20 years old. She helped me grow in spaces & energies I had no clue about until listening to her music. I’ll be 43 this year & much respect watching her journey is always my pleasure ❤
Same here and I, too will be 43 this year. I listened to her since her first album as a teenager in 97. Her music was and is integral to my growth in becoming a woman and healing for so many of us!
I will say this as well, Badu is educating and captivating. She is guiding them to calm and understanding places they usually don't have on this show. She's an elder to more ppl now than a contemporary. Dopeness

Erykah for me IS music. Baduizm was the first album I ever heard. I was a baby and my parents played all her songs every week since I can remember. I became a music artist and badu is always my way back to source, back to why I wanted to make music in the first place. Saw her live for the 5th time at a music festival in Europe last year and her energy is just so magnetizing every time. Her inner beauty translates in her physical beauty….radiant. I just love how calm everybody is during this interview. She is so relaxing to hear. But God willing. If I’m blessed with another baby I would LOVE to have Erykah as my doula.
I think the thing that comes through so clearly in this interview is her genuineness. A lot of people seem to project a caricature of themselves for the public. With Erykah, you can tell she is just being true to herself.
The fact that she is a doula for those transitioning out of this world is so profound for me. Some people don’t have family, or there family just can’t do that. No one should die lonely even though we all have to go that way alone

I've always thought I'm the same as you and Erykah; an empath. It takes me a while to release and get back to myself, after talking to certain people about their issues because I absorb whatever it is that they are feeling. Also, the older I get, the more I'm able to pick on people's energy and see visions of things before they happen. For instance, my ex, who I fell out with 4 years ago andhave not had any contact with, out of the blue, texted me. Mind you, a few weeks before he reached out, his energy was heavy on me for no reason. So that was weird and yet, made sense to me at the same time. But yeah, Erykah oozes enlightenment. Even if she tried to hide it, it would come through
