Finally an interview from someone who understands her spirit! I’ve seen almost every interview of hers and the people who ask about her spirituality or her journey, seem to kind of “mock” or not fully understand what it really means to her. Jhene has such a childlike innocence about her and i love it. The fact that you can tell she’s been through some things but has been able to keep that energy about her is amazing to see. Her music definitely has helped me through different stages in my life especially Chilombo. Omg my spiritual journey was at 4 years old as well when my great grandmother passed away. I also use to play with her flabby skin on you calfs and arms. And I had so many questions as to why a wonderful woman physical body was taken from the planet and her spirit is left behind. So I started looking for the meaning of life and death and what my purpose is here before I leave my body. And im connected with my great grandmother with humming birds and humming bird dont usually come near humans, so I knew it was her. I was blessed enough to have attended to the sound bowl meditation she’s talking about that she had at wisdom LA it was the best experience I have ever lived I cried and literally felt it healing me hearing her angel like voice and the wonderful sounds that the singing bowl where making . I got to meet her as well and this happened a day before my bday it was the best bday gift ever and also when I came back home from there my husband had a bday cake for me with the trip album artwork I cried lol , honestly that whole day made me beyond happy 💚.

The “reason” I think Tupac is coincidentally behind Jhené is because they share the same message. Although they show it differently in their music their message is love, for our selves, others, and any living thing. And maybe you think it’s crazy but I just happen to think Tupac made a little appearance because Jhené is continuing the message in her own music and throughout this interview.

Hello Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial. On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes but don't you just hate it when people can't let go of your past mistakes. Found jhené at least officially in 2020 while transitioning out of the worst job of my life and still grieving my dad on my own without much support. I’ll never forget getting out the apartment, opening Spotify to drown out my thought, getting the notification for this new album, hit play without a thought not knowing who it was or what the album would be. Had it on loop for months. Not exaggerating when I said for weeks I listened to nothing else but still not sure if much registered besides feeling comfort. Been back to it many times since “moving on”. Just had to give up my cat two days ago. Another big transition period in my life with no direction atp. Feels like everything, myself included, is slipping away honestly. After skipping the recommendation for this video for weeks, I finally hit play bc I’ve given up on my tasks for the day. The last 5 mins when she brought up cats, something jolted in me. I miss my baby. I hope to be more intentional in learning about this amazing human, particularly clues from her journey that could help me on mine.
I was listening to her before my spiritual awakening and now Feel like she is a big reason why it happened. She is an awakened empath and so spiritual. Mother Nature and the Universe she is in love with and so am I. I am into grounding and roots right now and healing my inner child. This women is a Queen!
i have listed to jhene in passing but for some reason today i decided to listen to trip from top to bottom while also reading her breakdown of each song and it truly moved me i then went to research more about her spiritual journey and came across this video. i was so moved by her authenticity and genuine excitement about the world around her and her desire to heal that it moved me to tears. she is truly a beautiful soul and a natural healer. "whats one thing the universe seems to tell you time and time again" "surrender....let go" so much power in this phrase. her purpose is truly to help people deal and heal.
I had to pause the video at 42:50 when she said the message she’s constantly received from the universe is surrender. God that resonated so much. ❤️ I’ve been out here trying to control everything except the controllable. Fighting the world and having it beat me down. I just feel so small and insignificant compared to some of my problems sometimes and fighting becomes so exhausting. Maybe we aren’t meant to fight.. we’re meant to surrender 🥺

What Jhené was talking about when she said to acknowledge your thoughts, was mindfulness. Mindfulness is the key to conquering those anxious and negative thoughts by genuinely accepting them and being mindful of why they arrived and identifying that those thoughts are not a direct reflection of you. I loveeeddd this podcast and I really hope they collaborate again in the future. I hope that one day I can do exactly what jay and Jhene do by sharing their wisdom and collaborating with others to help the larger population access tools to self growth

one word that stuck with me is share. i am one to share but with discretion for myself. for so long i share and share and share and fear i won’t get it back. when you share in that way, you block your blessings because you’re only sharing hoping to get something back. i will say that is something i’ve been working on. i’ve grown a “fondness” of sharing. whether it is food, kind words, or how i’m feeling. i share because it makes my spirit feel good.

I just watched this podcast and I love all the real wisdom shared. One thing I've loved the most is her sharing about her family name, the story of her dad and the name she's had to evolve to love. I'm from MALAWI, and CHICHEWA is our native language and CHILOMBO does mean beast. Both literary and also there's like traditional dancers who wear masquerades who are also known as CHILOMBO. My spiritual journey actually began around 4 or 5. I remember my uncle began dating this woman and something in my spirit didn't sit right within me. I would question myself a lot. And I'd run and shy away from her quite a lot. I also remember not knowing why I felt the way I did about this woman. I didn't know why I felt as strongly as I did. I didn't know how I was able to pick up on, what I know now was energies. But that moment stuck with me for a long time. And now here I am. A grown woman, mother and intuitive AF. I'm also super sensitive to things around me. But I know my intuition is one of my greatest gifts and being able to accept it, embrace it and allowing it to shine. It's only been the beginning of my journal as a spiritual being ❤

I’ve ALWAYS admired Jhene’s approach to music. Growing up in the hood I’ve always seen it through this same “beautiful” lense. While most turn their nose up at the situation I would smell the flowers, notice the bees, just literally absorbing the beauty around me. While there’s absolutely a dark side of where we are it’s not unseen but “I” can absolutely drowned in the beauty around me and be attached to my roots with my head held high .... I just really appreciate her approach because she could be marketing ANYTHING ya know .... we don’t need just anything. We need her. We need roots. I haven’t seen her preform outside of Cali and I’m from Cali so I know that home and the performance is different but I understand her soooo much that I cry like a baby every time I see her on stage.

Finally an interview from someone who understands her spirit! I’ve seen almost every interview of hers and the people who ask about her spirituality or her journey, seem to kind of “mock” or not fully understand what it really means to her. This was everything I needed ❤️ Jay also did great by letting her speak and fully listened to what she said. She went into depth with every question he asked. Their egos weren’t present. Just listening to them speak, was so peaceful to me.

Omg my spiritual journey was at 4 years old as well when my great grandmother passed away. I also use to play with her flabby skin on you calfs and arms. And I had so many questions as to why a wonderful woman physical body was taken from the planet and her spirit is left behind. So I started looking for the meaning of life and death and what my purpose is here before I leave my body. And im connected with my great grandmother with humming birds and humming bird dont usually come near humans, so I knew it was her. I was blessed enough to have attended to the sound bowl meditation she’s talking about that she had at wisdom LA it was the best experience I have ever lived I cried and literally felt it healing me hearing her angel like voice and the wonderful sounds that the singing bowl where making . I got to meet her as well and this happened a day before my bday it was the best bday gift ever and also when I came back home from there my husband had a bday cake for me with the trip album artwork I cried lol , honestly that whole day made me beyond happy 💚.

Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial.
On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there.
Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes but don't you just hate it when people can't let go of your past mistakes.
I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life. Can we talk?
Found jhené at least officially in 2020 while transitioning out of the worst job of my life and still grieving my dad on my own without much support. I’ll never forget getting out the apartment, opening Spotify to drown out my thought, getting the notification for this new album, hit play without a thought not knowing who it was or what the album would be. Had it on loop for months. Not exaggerating when I said for weeks I listened to nothing else but still not sure if much registered besides feeling comfort. Been back to it many times since “moving on”. Just had to give up my cat two days ago. Another big transition period in my life with no direction atp. Feels like everything, myself included, is slipping away honestly. After skipping the recommendation for this video for weeks, I finally hit play bc I’ve given up on my tasks for the day. The last 5 mins when she brought up cats, something jolted in me. I miss my baby. I hope to be more intentional in learning about this amazing human, particularly clues from her journey that could help me on mine.
I was listening to her before my spiritual awakening and now Feel like she is a big reason why it happened. She is an awakened empath and so spiritual. Mother Nature and the Universe she is in love with and so am I. I am into grounding and roots right now and healing my inner child. This women is a Queen!
i have listed to jhene in passing but for some reason today i decided to listen to trip from top to bottom while also reading her breakdown of each song and it truly moved me i then went to research more about her spiritual journey and came across this video. i was so moved by her authenticity and genuine excitement about the world around her and her desire to heal that it moved me to tears. she is truly a beautiful soul and a natural healer.

I’ve been out here trying to control everything except the controllable. Fighting the world and having it beat me down. I just feel so small and insignificant compared to some of my problems sometimes and fighting becomes so exhausting.

Biggest lession - "To breathe through it."
What Jhené was talking about when she said to acknowledge your thoughts, was mindfulness. Mindfulness is the key to conquering those anxious and negative thoughts by genuinely accepting them and being mindful of why they arrived and identifying that those thoughts are not a direct reflection of you. I loveeeddd this podcast and I really hope they collaborate again in the future. I hope that one day I can do exactly what jay and Jhene do by sharing their wisdom and collaborating with others to help the larger population access tools to self growth

Jhene aiko I love soulfully she honestly helped me to love myself more through her music and heal me from trauma I had in life her music made me find myself again. She uses healing frequencies in her music witch I love. Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial.
On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there.
Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes but don't you just hate it when people can't let go of your past mistakes.
I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life. Can we talk?

This was food for my SOUL! Her purpose to help people “deal and heal” feels like my purpose as a Life Coach as well! Even though I’m not a singer I feel like my previous experience as a high achieving banker in corporate America helps me help all people in similar roles and companies. Because I understand their struggle I can be a source of advice, comfort and empowerment as they delve into their own spirituality. I also love that she’s bringing sound baths into more of the mainstream... I’ve been working and healing thru sound baths for years and people would look at me like I had two heads when I would describe it.... now, here it is!!! YES! Such a win for the culture.

one word that stuck with me is share. i am one to share but with discretion for myself. for so long i share and share and share and fear i won’t get it back. when you share in that way, you block your blessings because you’re only sharing hoping to get something back. i will say that is something i’ve been working on. i’ve grown a “fondness” of sharing. whether it is food, kind words, or how i’m feeling. i share because it makes my spirit feel good.

Loved this! Definitely my favorite interview of her - I think he was great at allowing her the space to really think through her answers and actually listening!
And in her other interviews the host mocks her level of spirituality. I loved how this time she got to share this much without it being a joke
♥️ Jhené. I admire how she embraces her Pisces energy - her understanding of emotion and how deeply emotions are experienced is a strength of her sign. And the artistic way she is able to translate it into music is one of the reasons I respect Jhené as an artist.
I just watched this podcast and I love all the real wisdom shared. One thing I've loved the most is her sharing about her family name, the story of her dad and the name she's had to evolve to love. I'm from MALAWI, and CHICHEWA is our native language and CHILOMBO does mean beast. Both literary and also there's like traditional dancers who wear masquerades who are also known as CHILOMBO. So seeing her create and story that's meaningful to her and her family from a name they choose is really beautiful. I wonder how the dad learnt of our language though? But anyway. Awesomeness

My spiritual journey actually began around 4 or 5. I remember my uncle began dating this woman and something in my spirit didn't sit right within me. I would question myself a lot. And I'd run and shy away from her quite a lot. I also remember not knowing why I felt the way I did about this woman. I didn't know why I felt as strongly as I did. I didn't know how I was able to pick up on, what I know now was energies. But that moment stuck with me for a long time. And now here I am. A grown woman, mother and intuitive AF. I'm also super sensitive to things around me. But I know my intuition is one of my greatest gifts and being able to accept it, embrace it and allowing it to shine. It's only been the beginning of my journal as a spiritual being ❤

I’ve ALWAYS admired Jhene’s approach to music. Growing up in the hood I’ve always seen it through this same “beautiful” lense. While most turn their nose up at the situation I would smell the flowers, notice the bees, just literally absorbing the beauty around me. While there’s absolutely a dark side of where we are it’s not unseen but “I” can absolutely drowned in the beauty around me and be attached to my roots with my head held high .... I just really appreciate her approach because she could be marketing ANYTHING ya know .... we don’t need just anything. We need her. We need roots. I haven’t seen her preform outside of Cali and I’m from Cali so I know that home and the performance is different but I understand her soooo much that I cry like a baby every time I see her on stage.
