What a spectacular woman, showing all of us for so many years that you can be as free as your mind can go. What a life!!!
I saw Erykah at a small venue concert around 2006-2007. She performed on a low level stage just above 3 feet high. I was so close to her performing that I could have easily reached out and touched her. She gave a 2 hour 10 minute concert that night. She gave more than your money's worth in songs that night. She has a hypnotic effect on one's mind when she performs. No other performer has that, but her. She was not elaborately dressed that night. No hats and a moderate dress she wore.
This was something special. I love Erykah Badu's artistry. It permeates as aspects of her life. Music, jewelry, and fashion ICON. Millinery champion. She's always represented small black artists. Loved this!
