I USED TO LIVE HERE! In 1167, unit #6! You didn’t go into my unit, probably locked but seeing the other ones was so cool!! Tons of elderly people lived here. I resided there from 2016 until 2021 right before they tore it down. A burlington landmark for sure. Thanks so much for exploring and sharing this, it was super cool to see.
Amazing video, so many contrasts on the ways people live. You can feel the memories and times in those places. Such a shame they tore them down when so many people need affordable housing. Some of those could be cleaned and put right back in service. I'd be so proud to own one of those units. It would be well taken care of. Moving forward is not always progress.
#55 kitchen was the best ! In the house I grew up in the late 1970s / early 1980s: 1:31 was the wallpaper in the hallway 1:47 was the wallpaper in the den 1:52 was the wallpaper in the guest bedroom Amazing to see the same three in one apartment unit.
What is it about peeking inside abandoned properties? Even recently abandoned ones like this, that have very little left inside them, pique my curiousity. Photographs of strangers also interests me. Yet I have no interest at all when a friend offers me a tour of their new home or shows me pictures from the wedding or party we both went to
It's sad that these were going to be torn down. To me they looked in pretty good shape and we've all for sure seen some way worse that people live in. I didn't see a foundation issues you'd usually see in places they are going to tear down. I sure hope that they salvage as much as they can out of the buildings. It looks like there are all new exterior windows and other usable items in the apartments that can be repurposed to places like Habitat for Humanity and other non profits. This was a great video as usual and so different than your others, really enjoyed the change. Keep them coming.
an amazing find, can really tell what tenants stayed there the longest from the upgrades that had been done is some of the unites. sad that all these people had to find other accommodations or ended up homeless maybe due the sale of this place.
Well that was fun! Interesting to see all the different layouts. Not a fan of some of the bright, bright colors or some of the wallpapers. In a small place the wallpaper or even color used can make it seem even smaller. I was a fan of the ones that looked bigger and the corner units, always like the corner windows. I liked the most upgraded kit/bath and then 25-28 in the one building. It would have been great to see them when they were furnished - different folks will have so many different ways of furnishing their 'homes.' I was also a fan of all that had the wall between the kitchen and living room cut up or gone, makes it look roomier.
These are all so pretty, I just don't understand why they are being torn down. I would have lived there no doubt. Beautiful apartments, just sad they are abandoned.
love some of the apartments but the one I liked was number 55 it was very roomy and massive shame they are not lived in yet they looked ok for young people starting out
My dog goes crazy when she hears those smoke alarm chirps, so I sometimes have to watch with the sound down and closed captions. The layouts of some of these apartments are weird with the kitchens way in the back of the apartments separated from the living rooms where you would expect a bedroom.
While the fire detectors are annoying, it is not your fault and nothing you can control. Don't let people give you shit about it. Also, this is super weird that they have so many different paint and wall papers. Most apartments I have have do not give you much option to change things. If they do it is not worth it because you have to put it back "as it was". Where these condos? They let you change more.
Hi, I think I saw this explore on terry Wilson's channel awhile back. Nice place. Thanks for the explore. Was nice to see it again. What a ugly kitchen lol. That wallpaper is hideous. The turquoise in the one apartment is very nice. The shiny wooden floor also nice
I forgot to reply that the one with the faux fireplace was maybe to make it feel cozier and also they needed someplace to hang the Christmas stockings!!
Looks like these buildings were designed for govt housing for low income tenets. In the U.S. we call them section 8, where the govt subsidizes the rent for low income tenets.
Interesting explore yet this TH-camr should have merch called intro music go! Lol 😂 as that seems to be his favorite words not being critical or anything.
I'm wondering why the Apartment Buildings complex was Abandoned, the apartments are in really nice shape, I'm just thinking about instead of demolishing these Buildings, they need to be given to all the Homeless American Veterans,They deserve to have a place of their own to call Home, free and clear, until they get back on their feet. Side note: I also live in an Apartment Buildings complex, out of all 8 units, I've got the Nicest kitchen flooring, I feel sort of privileged, lol, seriously, I love my kitchen flooring.
@Freaktography Most definitely it would be, maybe I was raised different, but I'd love to see these abandoned Mansions / houses fixed up and given to Our American Homeless Military Veterans.
I believe all abandon places should open for the homeless to live with guidance and not count as homeless. The only the guy sleeping on the street count as homeless, not hotel dwellers, not shelters, not tent cities, not trailers, not abandon places. There should be no shame in living like this. Open them up for low rent and maybe free for those without any money. Give them a place to sleep and call it home. Not everyone can own a home or rent a great apartment and that should be alright to seek shelter in others ways without too many rules. Hotels are homes, trailers are homes, abandon places can be homes, vans can converted into homes, living in a tent in a tent city regulated should be seen as a home. Living in a tiny home in a yard with permission from the owner should be considered a home and not against the law. At less they are not sleeping on the street or in the back alley. We need more tiny home neighborhoods, small apartments homes. Give all a place to sleep.
Wow with all the homelessness and they are going to tear that down. Unbelievable. I have seen way way worse places that people are living in. These could have been cleaned up and fixed up. What bs. Only in America. How gross. I hope everything was salvaged that could be. Bug highly doubtful. I would like to know the story why they are all different like that. I’ve never seen anything like it

Were these the co-ops on Lakeshore beside Caldon appts?
Wait.... Are you saying that this video was taken more than 2 years ago but just posted now?
No lol… they just tore it down a few weeks ago. The video could have been taken anytime in the last few years it’s been empty since december 2021
@@juliepetrarca7011 why are they abandoned? They are in great condition and well maintained. I'm confused.
these buildings are in Burlington,i use to live just a block north of them like 8 yrs ago
The fact this is in my Hometown I never really noticed these apartments until after they were demolished
I like him. He's keep everything interesting. I like seeing abandoned apartments for a change than houses
I absolutely love exploring all the different rooms in all the different apartments. thanks so much!

@@Freaktography That really surprised me to see all of that in *one* apartment !!
My mom loved putting up wallpaper !
I believe the little window between the kitchen and dining area is called a "pass through".
This place is still in good condition but thank you for exploring it

outside looks rebuildable So many Homeless this apt could be made liveable again!

Great video. I love the room with the turquoise paint, the checkerboard bathroom and the wood kitchen.
Thanks so much! 😊
I just wanted to say...Thank You!🌻😊
You are so welcome
I loved the hard wood flooding in that apartment room. Those apartments really nice wow. Thanks for sharing now 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
an amazing find, can really tell what tenants stayed there the longest from the upgrades that had been done is some of the unites. sad that all these people had to find other accommodations or ended up homeless maybe due the sale of this place.
I seen the plans for this site. Jeez a huge tall condo tower and some low rise. I truly hope they salvage stuff from this place
Dave enjoying the whole DR experience. And never went there..

What a mixture of crazy wall paper from the old days
Good one again. Thanks, take it easy.
Thanks, you too!
Love the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I agree, abandoned apartments are more interesting than abandoned houses😊
I found it interesting as some kitchen were in the back instead of. the front. Also all the different colors and designs so unusual for apartments
Interesting!
These are all so pretty, I just don't understand why they are being torn down. I would have lived there no doubt. Beautiful apartments, just sad they are abandoned.
I live in the area all my life loved to meet you love your videos keep up the great work
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for the video i enjoyed watching
Glad you enjoyed it
love some of the apartments but the one I liked was number 55 it was very roomy and massive shame they are not lived in yet they looked ok for young people starting out
I knew some people who lived in the rear building back in the 70s. Looks like many apartments haven't changed a bit. 😂Great explore, Dave.
Some nice apartments hopefully to be used again in the future
I am curious about your home. You should do a home tour vid!
Happily stayed with you until the end.!
My dog goes crazy when she hears those smoke alarm chirps, so I sometimes have to watch with the sound down and closed captions. The layouts of some of these apartments are weird with the kitchens way in the back of the apartments separated from the living rooms where you would expect a bedroom.
Same! I have to mute them bc he shakes uncontrollably and it’s so disappointing I can’t head the video.
Damn that one apt had a gorgeous bathroom.😳🥰
Thanks fir your videos ..

Reminds me of my apartment on Mohawk (Hamilton) but my building was much smaller.

I have never seen apartments with all kinds of different wallpaper and paint colors. were these special apartments?
This was a unique explore. I think some were definitely lived in by older people,
i would hope they saved this place .!!!! and make it useable for family.
Looks like these buildings were designed for govt housing for low income tenets. In the U.S. we call them section 8, where the govt subsidizes the rent for low income tenets.
Cool apartments
Super awesome 😎
Thanks for the visit
Cool apartments. Wonder why they are all different
Nice find I wonder why it was abandoned though
Why are they abandoned? The buildings look like they are totally restorable to live in.
I suspect they were abandoned because of greed
These apartments could house the homeless.
Interesting explore yet this TH-camr should have merch called intro music go! Lol 😂 as that seems to be his favorite words not being critical or anything.
Liked 25, 27, 28, 36 [mauve bathroom] 42 [ likely had an Electric Fireplace in front of the Brick]
Thank you for showing this video I was with you all the way more videos thanks you ❤❤😂😂❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤😂
Ilike this video of you in the Apts good video more please.thank you ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Based Freaktography talking about repurposing the good stuff to give Habitat for Humanity
Those were some nice apartments. You probably should have showed 56 and then 55😆
I love these videos, and i am asking myself why so many places not used for poor people, but i was wondering is it in Ontario
Someone can buy the apartment building, Rent out all the apartments.
You never said why the damn apartments were vacant in the beginning SMH
So, who started the what’s up guys when going past a mirror? You or Ethan?🤔
Or possibly Riddum Rider?
@Franco American
Hmm, never heard of him. Will look him up.
We all kinda started it at the same time
What's gonna happen to the building ?

My smoke alarm didn't chirp after we disconnected it.....
They chirp to let you know when when the battery gets low.
These seam like nice apartments why is it abandoned
They should fix those apartments up and rent them out to very low income people
It’s already torn down! I moved out of there in 2021. It got sold to a developer and they are building a retirement home in its place.
LOL really green
Second building looks more up dated. Second building is very nice inside
Another green, lol
I agree!

why the fuck is it abandoned? I'd live in the whole building 🤣🤣🤣
Sold to a developer lol. I used to live there!
