When I was young I would have been beside myself if I owned this house in pristine condition. But now that I'm older I just look at it and think, wow that would be a lot of dusting, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, running the vacuum, cleaning the kitchen, cleaning the pool and the lawn OMG! You couldn't run fast enough to give me this house. But it would have been spectacular in its prime.
A person that can afford this, can afford a cleaning staff. I feel you though, I've looked at buying a bigger house than mine in lower priced areas near me but would not want to maintain them.
Same. I'm leaving my dude since I'm expected to cook, clean, launder, shop, and serve in his house. Maintenance easier in an apartment. I don't know that I could wait for a cleaning person. They'd have to come everyday for the kitchen and bathrooms alone.
I'm in such AWE of this place!! I don't know how anyone can leave such an extravagant amazing home like that including the beautiful property it sits on!! Other than the mold in the "basement" this place is ready to be lived in and taken care of with love! Totally unbelievable!! Thank you Dave, for an awesome video!!!!
I love it to, if I could afford it definitely would hire a cleaning crew twice a week, I’d have to use an electric scooter one for each floor lol and what fun that would be. It’s the prettiest home I’ve seen yet.
I agree with you! It’s perfect. It’s the best one I’ve seen yet of all the explorer’s. I would love to buy this with a group of people. It’s big enough for several couples to live there. What a dream! I’d love to know if it’s for sale. That is one thing I wish they would let us know.
When you go bankrupt, the bank shows you the way out. You don't have much choice. Some states protect your house/homestead 100%, but others have dollar limits on how much of the value you can protect. If it was a second house, then you pretty much lose it to the bankruptcy court or creditor.
Yes that was what i was thinking too! That these people were once well off, and my guess have Lost everything and had No choice but to walk away!! What a waste of such a nice home!
Having worked in the construction business I can tell you this house has never been lived in with all the wiring hanging out no railing on the balconies and the drywall not installed. It looks like the builder quit or ran out of money to complete the job. When that happens the only way to buy it is with cash. No bank will loan money on a incomplete house. A drone shot would have completed the video.
If it was never lived in how come all the furniture in the basement? Also he said there was no water and no electricity to the house but strangely there were lights burning in the basement.........

It looks like it was never quite finished by looking at the basement. Beautiful place. Shame it's gone to waste. The real oak paneling, the stone work.....just incredible workmanship just rotting away. 😔

Please don’t ‘what’s up guys’ every time you see a mirror. It’s kind of redundant. Just do a quiet ‘peace sign’. This home is beyond gorgeous and someone should definitely be primed to purchase it. So glad it wasn’t vandalized and you were so respectful. Thank you so much for the explore!
Absolutely awesome place. Rich folks sure know how to live, eh? I am so surprised no one has snapped this place up. 4 mil for a house and grounds as gorgeous as this I find rather inexpensive when looking at the big picture. Is this location fairly isolated? Really love the rooms, light, woodwork, everything. Shows a lot of superior craftsmanship and attention to detail. A work of art. Hate to see this lovely home empty, having seen senseless destruction of other homes when they remain empty for a period of time. Hopefully someone will purchase in the near future. Thank you so much for a great tour of this fantastic house. Your efforts are aporeciated by this fan in rural Michigan! Nice job!
I've dreamed about this place for years and getting her back in shape, I pray I win the lotto max then I can make this a reality. Would be so fun to take on as a project as I like doing finishing work and calling the pros when I don't know.

I like the property a lot! Also, in a way, I do appreciate the fact that this house isn't just like all the others. Like, the staircase, for one thing. Also the floor plan isn't too bad, and the woodwork is very good. And the fact that it does have a library. Not bad, really! I love the windows, that let in the sunlight, the french doors. Its actually kind of a cool place.

Seeing how this is something I will never be able to afford, I enjoyed being able to take a journey through this home and see what was inside the walls. Thank you for the time and effort you put in to bring this to us. It is appreciated.

I watch your videos because you are a sweet man and take the time to show us around places none of us would ever see otherwise. My only favour to ask is please show every room? Please and thank you. You missed a room in one of the bedrooms. I enjoy your videos very much. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Family Dave🦃🍁🍂🙏🏻
You had permission?? You mentioned locking the door... When it comes to this house, the Heat and Power are still on, maybe a caretaker?? Since there's maintenance equipment in the garage. The mold in the basement isn't from water it's from lack of air flow, I noticed hot water baseboard or electric baseboard heating, but there was air vents most likely for the AC, but since the AC and or fans are not on there's no air flow. It's crazy to think what could be the fate of this house...
@@tinderinc There were business cards on the counter. Realtors leave them after showings. And there is marketing boards on the counters as well. It's a foreclosure on the market. But so what, it's still a great explore.
I highly doubt its in foreclosure, show me some proof. I am aware of what the boards are and what is on the them, it shows the subdividing that has occurred and what sections are included for what price and a drawing of the proposed golf course that will never happen. Its a land bank.
What an amazing home, among the prettiest abandoned ones that I have seen on YT. I love the kitchen area, I could live (spend the majority of my time) in that part of the house. Just before your said it... I was beginning to wonder if it is a Black Mold (insurance settlement) matter that forces people to pack up and never return to a dream home. The type of damage in the basement, lend to the prospects of this sort of problem... I am stunned the grandeur of this property... I really like you enthusiasm and energy, like your style of shooting. The constant rolling footage, movement, and whip pans are necessary not to spend 3 days shooting and editing... Thanks for taking the time to archive and share with us... we will "see you guys; later" ~ A W E S O M E ~
Sold my house in June and moved from my house that was 5,400 sq.ft. and it was an absolute NIGHTMARE for 16 years. Trying to keep it clean was a full time job and the water and power bills each month were what most people pay for their mortgage. I am watching this video and while the house is gorgeous, I sit and wonder why does anyone need a 20,000 sq.ft.? Along with these big homes come BIG costs to maintain. With a house this large, I'm sure they had maids to clean but again, that costs a small fortune. Watching this house and remembering my own, I feel a great sense of relief because I now live in a tiny home and I have never been happier!!
I'd only want a place this if I won the lotto max, I've looked at it before the video. Its actually $6+ to get the house and the additional land that has been subdivided. I like this house for the location and size of land, personally wish the house was smaller. I like that the upstairs layout is actually a smaller size and realist for a family and not a wing style design. I know the reason some people buy a house like this is to brag about what they have just look at the lady who has the worlds biggest closet and does the same tour over and over again. I like the house for the location not for the right brag or point and say "thats mine" I love the privacy it offers and quiet location. Its been for sale for along time and will continue to sit, I pray I hit the lotto and bring it back to life without doing it over the top (I hate tacky design). I see automation being a key in the future for helping with up keep/cleaning. The lawn will be able to be mowed with a wireless mower (already around) and you can have several roombas going to help cut down on dust and dirt. I see things like that increasing over the years and rather then paying someone to dedicate there life to cleaning up after you. Use automation to deal with bulk and yourself to do the rest.
Adam Seidel A panic room? A vault? A prepper pantry? An arsenal room? Dead body room? Lastly . . . . A Sex room filled with whips, chips, chains and dip! 👠 🕷 🦴 🧊 ⛓ 🪑 🗝 📿 🚬 🕯 ⏳
The alarm sound was a give away it still had power. The back up batteries only last so long and the lights in the basement were on. The lawn wasn’t as high as the rest of the property either.
I guess you didn’t notice the scaffolding in the basement. You could put both ends together or use the single piece of the ladder to get up to that secret room. I was dying to see what was up in there.
Beautiful house...I wish you would have taken it slower to show more rooms. Here's some friendly advise, That "What Up" thing you are trying to trademark or catchphrase for yourself is annoying. One or two is enough... we know you're there, it's not like we can't see you, or if you just got there. Dude, give it rest. You might get more subscribers if you tone that down a bit. Have mercy...
That "Man Cave" looks more like an attached green house, it has a sink for potting the plants obviously. It's the MECHANICAL ROOM. Oh what I could do with that property! Nice.
You are right Nadia! Can you imagine the monthly cost to heat, cool, and maintain that house and property??? I would guess around $25,000USD a month to run the house...maybe more.
When you are very wealthy you really don't worry about trivial things like heat or cooling, you just leave for the season hop aboard your yacht and go to a better climate, winter home in the islands
I watched this vid twice. The kitchen appealed to me more the second time as it is quite unique, as far as a single family home goes. Put all your personal kitchen type do dads in there and it could be very homey. Very beautiful home!
Am I the only person that noticed there was power on in the basement. The little hallway the two ceiling lights were on. We’re he went into the kids play room
Beautiful mansion. I love all the windows. The paneled walls. It’s said a man’s house is his castle. Very masculine, imo. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Greed causes the loss of many of the expensive mansions. They just buy, buy because of the money they have and spending too much causes the downfall of their fate. When all the money is gone everything is repossessed and bankruptcy comes into the picture. Beautiful place and but sadness has set in. Just to much greed causes for all the empty mansions
sweetscatlady Wrong lady. You’re obviously suffering from wealth envy. There are other things that cause people to lose their homes such as a death in the family, catastrophic illness, divorce, loss of employment, The need to relocate and lack of buyers for the house.
It would be nice to know something about the history of the house and the part of the country it is located in . You would not have to divulge any specifics.
This place isnt abandoned ,look on the counter & you will see the sign in sheet for the company hired by a real estate agent to mow the lawns and make a visual inspection for damage or vandalism ,i hate it when people declare houses are abandoned when the sign in sheet shows they have keys to the property .
I've looked at it online before and thought of the wonderful times that could be had in this property with some renovations it would be a great place to have family over. If I could buy it I would want to keep it as legacy property but that would require winning the lottery lol :)
The listing information contains nothing of interest the pictures suck and the listing sucks... the realtor also has a video on TH-cam where he clearly undersells the property as you can tell he doesn't know North America real estate he just knows Ontario. I won't provide the address or info on how to find it the person who made this video has left enough info that you can find it easy. If you do find it please leave it alone / don't damage it. Even tho the next buyer will more then likely gut the house to find the dead animal smell breaking the windows or other damage will cause more issues
I dont normally like mansions as they are usually pompous ugly over the top decor but that was lovely. The cathedral ceilings are gorgeous.Wish you had of got the ladder for that secret room its gonna drive us all crazy not knowing what it was.please go back.
Is there a video of it being finished? Finished Product? You should build orchards of fruits and even grapes to make your own wine brand! I would absolutely LOVE to be there and help with renovation, it’s such a architectural dream it would be amazing to see all the different ideas this house has tons of potential !
Makes you wonder...why do people who build big homes like this, abandon it all of the sudden? Surely it's possible to buy these abandon homes to bring it back to life?
I would say they moved because of a mold problem. The basement looked like it had a lot of water damage in areas. The room that had the electrical in it had rust on pipes etc. You can't get that black mold out....so you have to move out.
That was a really cool house, Dave.I actually lost count on the amount of times you said what is up guys. Like you, I thought the woodwork looked beautiful.
LOVE the color in the main entrance!!! Gorgeous house, but those vaulted ceilings? Heat in winter would be seriously expensive, as would the ac in the summer. And LOVE that kitchen too!!!
Hello from Washington NC. This was my first time watching your video. I loved your enthusiasm as you went from room to room. Do not let people who are rude change the way you are doing your video. Awesome job.
I love your vids. You're always so thorough with your explorations. Awesome👌👍 and it's weird that there are only three bedrooms in that massive house. And to much random rooms.
WOW, empty for 10 years! It does look like it might be a bank repo. Imo, there are too many simple fixes that banks don't bother with when trying to resell such as painting and removing outdated wallpaper. The house is beautiful 😍... Thanks for the video!
I'm a "guy", I know. Anyway, nice vid. However, that rider mower in the garage and the laid down signs on the kitchen counter indicate that the home is likely for sale and that the lawn is being mowed.
You can tell the amateur explorer's because they don't know what they're talking about and they NEVER look for the hidden room's in these mansions. 🤣🤦 Beautiful house indeed!
Hi, freaktography, nice video. Subscribed. Is this property in Texas ? You mentioned there are some real estate agents trying to sell. Can you please share the info of the agents and possibly the general location.
I enjoy your videos when I stumble upon them, however I refuse to subscribe because EVERY mirror shot does NOT need a "whut's up guys", one at the beginning /end is plenty. The constant repetition in some of you videos makes me mute you. Think about it

The cabinet on top is for cookbooks hence why it's in the kitchen and not the den/office space. It's there for convenience.

It's crazy to think what could be the fate of this house...
thanks for watching and commenting
ARednecksLife It’s a foreclosure.
I doubt that
@@tinderinc There were business cards on the counter.
Thanks for taking the time to archive and share with us... we will "see you guys; later"

thank ya!
Watching this house and remembering my own, I feel a great sense of relief because I now live in a tiny home and I have never been happier!!
yes i have always wondered the costs to furnish and up keep a place like this
I'd only want a place this if I won the lotto max, I've looked at it before the video.
I’m gonna guess this place is for sale, since there are brochures on the counter
it is but it has been vacant and on the market for a very long time
Hello Kitty I thought the same, it’s gotta be up for sale.
@@Freaktography So, not abandoned then. Trespass or did you visit during an Open House?
The title should read Vacant not Abandoned because its not!
@@Freaktography That's a very beautiful home.
Kinda crazy that lights were on and the alarm def still had power. Living in a house that huge would give me anxiety. Wtf with that secret room???
secret room is a secret!
Adam Seidel
A panic room?
For sure. But also, what the hell is with that kitchen. It’s majestic, but the most awkward setup ever.
@@Freaktography lol
I guess you didn’t notice the scaffolding in the basement. You could put both ends together or use the single piece of the ladder to get up to that secret room. I was dying to see what was up in there.
ya i'm an idiot!
There was a ladder in one of the closets in the basement, as well as the scaffolding.
I find it so incredeable to get the chance to see something like that ,because you have been there and takan these pictures .
thanks!
I like how you show everthing coming from the entrance and don't touch every single item left in the house.
Have mercy...
thanks for the comment and advice
Freaktography keep up the what’s up guys lol doesn’t bother me
then dont watch so many of u are mean and hateful with ur rude ass remarks
@@Freaktography I happen to like the "what's up guys". Makes me smile and laugh! Great house and video by the way! You got my sub.
Breathtaking away so beautiful love this mansion.
Thanks for watching
That "Man Cave" looks more like an attached green house, it has a sink for potting the plants obviously. It's the MECHANICAL ROOM. Oh what I could do with that property! Nice.
🤣😂 mom cooking. I don’t think so. Maybe Chief or maids cooking.
I don't know where you'll find MAIDS these days. But I'm sure you can find HOUSEKEEPERS!2020
I thought the same
The chief of food
You mean CHEF!
Massive house, must cost a ton to heat & cool it. Thx for the tour
You are right Nadia! Can you imagine the monthly cost to heat, cool, and maintain that house and property??? I would guess around $25,000USD a month to run the house...maybe more.
Gosh I know ! I don’t care if I had the money or not I honestly wouldn’t wanna have a house that big!
When you are very wealthy you really don't worry about trivial things like heat or cooling, you just leave for the season hop aboard your yacht and go to a better climate, winter home in the islands
The “bar/kitchen” looks more like a reception area for guests like any other resort
Yes. Not appealing at all.
We’re he went into the kids play room
ya i was wrong, there was power
I scrolled comments just to see if someone else noticed that too.
Beautiful mansion. I love all the windows. The paneled walls. It’s said a man’s house is his castle. Very masculine, imo.
Thank you for sharing it with us!
Thank you so much!
Freaktography You’re very welcome!
Simple amazing speechless thumbs up
Thank you so much 😀
My very favourite mansion you've explored!
Greed causes the loss of many of the expensive mansions. They just buy, buy because of the money they have and spending too much causes the downfall of their fate. When all the money is gone everything is repossessed and bankruptcy comes into the picture. Beautiful place and but sadness has set in. Just to much greed causes for all the empty mansions
thanks for the comment
sweetscatlady Wrong lady. You’re obviously suffering from wealth envy. There are other things that cause people to lose their homes such as a death in the family, catastrophic illness, divorce, loss of employment, The need to relocate and lack of buyers for the house.
And thats why you don't own this house you have no clue.
I think he is trespassing this house is in good shape, not abandoned in any way.
I love this house! The ceilings and all the wood......
Get that ladder from the basement and see what is in that secret room!!!! Lol What a beautiful home!!!
I love all the woodwork, wood floors & windows. Gorgeous 😍
Loved. This video.. Thanks for sharing it with us.. Stay safe -Lovr from AZ
Glad you enjoyed it
Just big - lots os rooms- no rhythm as to a flow- I’ll take a cottage any day over these cold looking mansions
This isn’t a house, it’s a castle. It’s too bad it’s sitting vacant, this world be a great home for some family.
I've looked at it online before and thought of the wonderful times that could be had in this property with some renovations it would be a great place to have family over. If I could buy it I would want to keep it as legacy property but that would require winning the lottery lol :)
Tinder inc what do I search to find this property?
The listing information contains nothing of interest the pictures suck and the listing sucks... the realtor also has a video on TH-cam where he clearly undersells the property as you can tell he doesn't know North America real estate he just knows Ontario. I won't provide the address or info on how to find it the person who made this video has left enough info that you can find it easy. If you do find it please leave it alone / don't damage it. Even tho the next buyer will more then likely gut the house to find the dead animal smell breaking the windows or other damage will cause more issues
Virginia USA. Loved the beautiful huge house and I love your videos, thanks for sharing.
Abandon?? I dont think so, u gonna go to jail for trespassing lo,l the grass is still cut 🤦♂️
it also has power the lights were on in the basement
I don't think it's abandoned. Grass has been cut. How did you get In?
Grass a foot high is cut?
*Takes notes this is a Canada thing*
😂
@@colleb95 it was cut up and around the house.
Literally my favorite homes of all time. Where is it located?
Makes you wonder...why do people who build big homes like this, abandon it all of the sudden? Surely it's possible to buy these abandon homes to bring it back to life?
I would say they moved because of a mold problem. The basement looked like it had a lot of water damage in areas. The room that had the electrical in it had rust on pipes etc. You can't get that black mold out....so you have to move out.
Takes a lot of money and some just can't figure out for a place like that it's going to take a bunch and keep wanting more money to stay in
@@jaditelady173mary4 they would have remediated that immediately if they intended to stay. Bankruptcy is the only answer
Awesome Video! Covered it all (except the secret room!). Love your energy - keep up the great work!
That was a really cool house, Dave.I actually lost count on the amount of times you said what is up guys. Like you, I thought the woodwork looked beautiful.
Can’t imagine setting the trusses on that! Beautiful home and land!
Horses and my dogs are all that’s missing!
it would be an amazing place to live
I love mansions . Thanks for showing houses because we all need something to love . Thanks so much for your patience .
You are so welcome!
Omg I love it . I am from Delaware . I can’t afford it omg god it’s amazing . I love the open floor plan. You did a great video.
thanks for watching
Oh wow such a beautiful house.
LOVE the color in the main entrance!!! Gorgeous house, but those vaulted ceilings? Heat in winter would be seriously expensive, as would the ac in the summer. And LOVE that kitchen too!!!
I totally agree!
Hello from Washington NC. This was my first time watching your video. I loved your enthusiasm as you went from room to room. Do not let people who are rude change the way you are doing your video. Awesome job.
wow what a beautiful house. i love the high ceiling in the kitchen. stunnnning 😍
Thanks for watching
It looks like they just haven't moved in yet but they're going to I'd get the hell out of eyes you just saying
Looking at the bathroom I would say they're not Americans what are your thoughts on that
I love your vids. You're always so thorough with your explorations. Awesome👌👍 and it's weird that there are only three bedrooms in that massive house. And to much random rooms.
thank you
Love how you show the garage and the way you narrate and the way you do your research about the property keep up the awsome work
I dont think its abandoned you can hear the alarm house every were you go ...
well, it hasn't been lived in for 10 years
WOW, empty for 10 years!
I would say it's a bank repo with a lot of contractors owed money on it so buyer be aware
Wow... Completely beautiful ...thank you for sharing
Wish it were mine... I simply love the look of that mansion👌👍
thanks for the comment
You can tell the amateur explorer's because they don't know what they're talking about and they NEVER look for the hidden room's in these mansions. 🤣🤦 Beautiful house indeed!
Hi from Dallas Texas, I love your videos, I really appreciate the way you give the full scope of the rooms. Keep on going. 😊
Wow... This house is absolutely amazing and the detail is so freaking beautiful.
Thanks a bunch
Wonder if the basement flooded after a storm or something and that’s where the mold is from- it’s really bad in the basement
very possible
That's what I was wondering. It is very close to a river.

Beautiful house, sad to see this house empty.

It's a shame.. if I ever win the lottery maybe I will hit this video up and see what I can do to help the homeless. Not kidding
I enjoy your videos when I stumble upon them, however I refuse to subscribe because EVERY mirror shot does NOT need a "whut's up guys", one at the beginning /end is plenty. The constant repetition in some of you videos makes me mute you. Think about it
i have eased up in recently filmed videos
