I just started running recently too. Since I'm not training for a 5k I'm taking it really slow. I first started with walking and then slowly eased my self into running. I might not be up to your level yet but I'm seeing small improvements and I'm having fun changing up what I'm doing every so often.
This video gives me hope!!! So happy I RAN into it. I just bought a treadmill ( haven’t gotten it yet) and watching this definitely got me more excited :)

If you have not run for many years and just starting, trying to develop it as a habit, then you needn't to go by this rate. There are serious chances of injury like runner's knee or backache if you try to achieve too much in short period. Go slow and try to improve your distance in long run. Think in this way that you have your whole life to improve, you are not running for a month. Consistency is more important. If you are able to make even one kilometer in the end of the month, that's not bad. Try to improve it from here by adding 10% of this distance for next week or month as per your convenience. Try to remain consistent and also take rest days in between.

Great video. Everyone should run 5K at least 3 times each week. I am in 50s, if I could do it - you could do it. I transferred myself recently- from a couch potato to a runner. I did not follow any guidelines or training except - following own heart. It took 15 days continuous “try” to reach to my first 5K. And for the last 2 months, I am running 5K at a time 4 times each week: my timings are close to 30 mins now a days. It improved dramatically over the last 2 months, down from over 50 minutes to 32 minutes. Not too bad. Other then that, No change in my lifestyle. Nope, nothing changed. I looks the same as I was. I weigh the same as I was. 5K is the minimum effort to remain healthy. I believe, I am now a healthier person. I am sure my overall oxygen management system has improved. All of my internal organs have improved their functions (assuming).
@@carlossosa734 it felt amazing, especially having a routine and being able to be in nature more. plus it's a great confidence booster, both for the weight loss and for knowing you can do it if you want to. i'm hoping to get more active again during the holidays. how about you?

Slowly, I've graduated up to running for 20 mins straight! :D I only run at 4mph-4.2mph but that would be a steady pace for me if I was running outside. I don't need to sprint, just be able to endure longer periods of running without dying! I always feel so accomplished after a workout :)
I ran for 5 months 5 days a week for 4 years. Trust me you are in shape when you run. I was already skinny as heck and I eat a lot and I never gain weight. I run cross country and we got up to 6 miles on certain days. Never run the day before the race to rest
Thank you for creating this video! I believe it will help coach potatoes, I was one, and others see the benefits of exercise! This was a touching video! It reminded me of my aches and growing pains getting my first handful of miles done. Today, I am able to churn out 100 miles a month. Great video, great content!
This was really motivational. I started running a couple of weeks ago and yesterday managed my first 1 km without stopping or even walking once and did it with a steady pace. It took me 13 minutes. My next goal is to run it in 11 minutes.
I set my 5k goal when I watched this video for the first time.🏃 I completed my 5k today.🏆 Though it took longer than a month for me, since I was not so decipilined.
I also learned this progress my own. Over 7 months of training. I'm regularly doing cardio and strength training in a 2 day sequence. Results are I lost from 218 pounds to currently 198 pounds. I also drink gallons of water and I lost 8 poundd of water weight in my body. Since my background consisted of doing martial arts. I also do movement training but in the movnat routine of using common movements to and fitness. Examples are doing push, pull, crawl, jumping and landing sequence but using obstacles. I also do training founded in Ido Portal doing stationary, negative, isometricated movements to my advantages. Therefore being artistic and running allows me to push more harder and using creativity physically.
I just recently started running today, but I was only able to run one lap around the block. I’m hoping to run one lap without resting before going to two laps. Wish me luck!
Great Video. I am 56. I just ran a 5K a month back. Thats my first marathon. My main idea is to give company to my daughter. we are looking forward to sign up the next run 🙂
Im an every day runner and this tip may get you killed but its worth it, if your running up a hill and you feel like giving up, look down and just focus on bringing one leg infront of the other, before you know it youll be on top of the hill and feeling great, that is if you havent been hit by a car. Goodluck
I run often, I've done 3 marathons and over 1,200km total this year. Tips, start small, parkruns are everywhere and are only 5km, seems a lot but plenty of types do it. Stretch, electrolytes and energy gels. Music and apps that track your progress like Strava or zombies run make it so much easier. Don't skip on your program, you're only cheating yourself. You can't outrun a bad diet.
Please make a video that tells you all about scientific and technical information of benefits of running everyday and how running transforms you in a month
Lol I’ve been running for 2-3 months now. Feels like I am satisfy about everything I encounter in my daily life. There is a feeling of satisfaction and it feels good. This is when I know how exercise can change your day and eventually your life

Stylie473 Joker it’s better than nothing, bro! Keep at it and the time will come down.
Gl hf!
@@lee-roybergstedt1948 Thanks a lot bro
Good on you mate, keep at it.

I love your content bro it has changed my life
Your life is changed??? What kind of change , the colour of it or the places of your home furnitures.
@@ammarif618 my shape has changed foreal
I love how I’m seeing beginner runners run 8-12 minute miles on average and there are no people running a mile in 5 minutes it’s nice to see this
Let’s lose this weight!
ayee! starting in a few days. i can't wait!
@@Sofia-bl9cb it’s been 3 months how was it ?
@@carlossosa734 it felt amazing, especially having a routine and being able to be in nature more. plus it's a great confidence booster, both for the weight loss and for knowing you can do it if you want to. i'm hoping to get more active again during the holidays. how about you?
@@Sofia-bl9cb where r u from ,Dear🌹
I can't love this enough, thanks for taking us on your journey.
Awesome animation to show how to begin running! It makes me want to get in shape and eat better.
Running improved my health a lot ! I went from running 1km and barely finishing to running 10 miles with relative ease
For songs I personally recommend
Colourblind by panda eyes
Radiate by panda eyes
All of zayde wolf’s songs
And the victory theme from overwatch
(Edit: like so he can see)
I barely jog for 3 minutes.
I'm 88 kg and so unfit.
Baby steps it sure does help.
Today is my 6th day jogging and I did 5k yesterday
What a great video. I gonna break this down in a video! 🏃♀️🏃♀️
I started running 2 years ago and it was the best thing I could ever start doing health is wealth people!!
For a long time, I could only run for 5 mins at a time before I needed a break. Slowly, I've graduated up to running for 20 mins straight! :D I only run at 4mph-4.2mph but that would be a steady pace for me if I was running outside. I don't need to sprint, just be able to endure longer periods of running without dying! I always feel so accomplished after a workout :)
I never missed a single video from u...tq so much
I love your videos and when im sad you make me happy
jake is awesome
I want the ultimate running playlist of yours
8:33 I dont know why, but how the the horror movie girl showed up in this spot made me burst out laughing
I set my 5k goal when I watched this video for the first time.🏃 I completed my 5k today.🏆 Though it took longer than a month for me, since I was not so decipilined.
my school has me doing one of my favorite learning youtubers les goooo
I watch this video everyday for motivation
Best Bright side video ever
I just recently started running today, but I was only able to run one lap around the block. I’m hoping to run one lap without resting before going to two laps. Wish me luck!
The cartoon guy and the kitty in the video are so darned CUTE!!!

I love running so much! And this video explains so well why 😊
Lily I walked the whole world and I didn't see you running at all!!!! Are you a liar?
Started my journey to becoming "a runner" yesterday, only second day, my stamina and overall fitness is terrible, but that is my motivation
I am HOLLERING off this cartoon run 😂😂😂
The ultimate running jam "Adagio for Strings"
I really like the animation! Gonna start my journey soon!
Im an every day runner and this tip may get you killed but its worth it, if your running up a hill and you feel like giving up, look down and just focus on bringing one leg infront of the other, before you know it youll be on top of the hill and feeling great, that is if you havent been hit by a car. Goodluck
I think doing sprints is much more beneficial than jogging. It's also easier and less time consuming.
absolutely Correct ! 5 to 10 mins sprint is more beneficial than 30 mins jogging.
Why is it better?
@@MysticDonBlair coz you pull a muscle and don't have to exercise for a week.
Fantastic video. You are so awesome in what you do!!! Motivational and fun video. Thank you. Wish you much success
This is when I know how exercise can change your day and eventually your life
I avoided cardio in the gym and only lifted. But once i started to do cardio i feel way better.
Am i the only one who's feeling like this isn't a genuine story?
This is total bs.
Ikr?
I run 2 miles each in the mornings and at nite. I was 250. I am currently 217. My goal is 200 before I pick up the weights and stomach workouts. Diet is included also.
This is so motivational video ✨💛
I've always liked to workout to the song Bohemian Rhapsody myself... lol... i just love that song. And i love how your videos make me feel a little "brighter" from learning interesting facts! thank you for all the work y'all put into it for us.
I bought some silk shorts to wear in the London marathon. They were quite expensive.

But worth it in the long run.
