  • What makes your body special? Well, everything! Every human body has features that're unique and sophisticated. Your body can even do tricks: about 1/3 of all people can raise one eyebrow! Very few people can manage to lick their elbows. What if you're among those who can do mirror writing with no effort? Take a look at this list of rare body tricks and maybe you'll recognize yourself in one of them.

literally 1984, my teacher said that if your jacket or sweater had a hoodie you'd be made to take it off or get written up for it, because "people used hoodies and climbed over the fence" and "the "encapuchados"(people with hoodies on some protests because of some stuff that happened with our president)(or just people with hoodies its the same word lol) climbed over the fence from outside and well basically if you had a hoodie you WOULD do illegal stuff, no exeptions, also they said its because they cant recognize your face and that's why you cant have hoodies, when you can quite literally take off the hoodie

I enjoyed how one's brain and muscles work together to allow a person to do what few others can. Being a fan of Star Trek TOS, I found I could do the Vulcan salute on both hands very easily. I doubt I can do any of the others although I, right-handed, can write legibly (sort of) with my left hand. I think I may have been born to write with my left hand because I usually cross my t's going right to left while people who write with their right hand usually cross their t's going left to right. Learning why our bodies are able or not able to do specific things is fascinating.

I heard once that the way to annoy a Star Trek fan is to do the Vulcan hand signal at them, as most fans can't do it. I don't entirely believe it, but I was on a training course for work once with a quite arrogant woman who was bringing everyone down. She mentioned being a Star Trek fan, so I tried it out. Effortlessly, I raised my hand in the signal and said, cheerfully, "Oh, Star Trek, Nanu Nanu".
And, yes, she _did_ get annoyed.

The part about the tongue in the nasal cavity. I have been able to do that for as far back as I can recall. I have used it to keep the tongue out of the way while at the dentist. I use it to clean my nose out when I have a cold. It has actually become almost automatic if I have a cold that I do that without even thinking about it or realizing it. I had no idea it had anything to do with Yoga. As Yoga is forbidden in christianity I will discontinue asap.

Everyone is one in a million in some particular way. One thing this video didn’t even mention is about being capable of bending the very top of your fingers (not necessarily the thumb). I literally mean keeping your fingers completely straight while you can literally move (bend) the very tip of your finger. This doesn’t have to be all together, yet also this video didn’t also mention about bending all but one finger naturally (that one finger has the ability to remain straight with the top bending while other fingers bend naturally.

That last one about not being able to move ears towards a sound source is untrue for me. When I have earbuds in and I am playing a game or listening to music, I can involuntarily move them if a sound from outside is detected. I feel my ears shift very subtly, and my earbuds move as well usually

I grew up a leftie then, in high school while we were waiting for the teacher arrive, I picked up two pieces of chalk and walked to the blackboard. I wrote the word 'reflection' on the board with both hands at the same time - the left 'reflection' was a mirror image of the right. That was how I discovered I was actually ambidextrous. What prompted that action baffles me to this day.

I have walked barefoot in snow for about half an hour and it was very pleasant (in general I don't mind cold, if I'm standing still it's an issue, but even if I'm doing as little as walking I heat up and I'm fine). I can do the splitting my fingers thing (but I do play guitar so I feel that has something to do with it). I do feel ticklish when I tickle myself (although not as much as I do when others tickle me). I can write 6 while spinning my leg (I am laying down instead of sitting if that makes a difference). I can do the U shape with the tongue.

  • @pixywings

I am ambidextrous, in most situations, but I definitely draw better with my right hand. Though that is probably because I don't practice drawing left handed.
I can touch the tip of my tongue to the tip of my nose. When I was a little kid, I saw someone do that on TV and I wanted to be able to do it. So, every day I would grab my tongue with my fingers and put it to the tip of my nose until one day I could do it without having to use my hands. I can also tie a cherry stem in my mouth, but again it was from ridiculous amounts of practice.
My mom can wiggle her ears. She tried to teach me how when I was little, but I just never could do it.
Final note: There is no way that spreading your fingers into the "Live long and prosper" sign is a rare skill. I don't know a single person who can't do it. Perhaps it is a little difficult for younger kids, but otherwise nothing special.
