- They conduct surveillance both day and night. Often become a target for the enemy. They cover the work of infantry and hit targets at a distance of up to one and a half kilometers. Snipers can work alone, assist reconnaissance or perform combat tasks in a group under cover. Our correspondent Aliona Hramova visited the combat positions of Ukrainian snipers in one of the hottest spots in Donbas.

Yes, this is true many Ukrainians are Cossacks and also have the genes of the Vikings because Kyiv was a trade route for the Vikings.
You see many of the Ukrainian battalions using Viking symbols for their military detachments, so the Ukrainians are very aware of their history from the days of Vikings.

We need to give them more thermal scopes. For snipers anyway. They are fundraising themselves to buy them. A sniper with a thermal is a terrifyingly effective weapon an way cheaper than throwing 100000k missile
Good to hear snipers working with spotters, however group's of four pairings would be better. Still Ukraine needs more snipers with UV and IR scopes and UV and IR binoculars for the spotters and UV and IR drones for the spotters.
Never heard of UV scopes, there's little UV at sea level.
IR, specifically far IR is emitted by bodies above room temperature and can be used to identify humans for snipers. A different IR band is used in heat seeking missiles.
@@agnelomascarenhas8990 IR is infrared for seeing heat behind items, bullets can go through brick or wood ect. Also UV is ultraviolet often known as night sights.
My thought here from a Old Army man is for the Ukrainian Snipers to change their Gilly Suits to more blend with the new growth of spring.
Because a drone overhead would spot that brown patch fast.

PSG90 is German rifle. I'm certain they also employ domestically made SVDs as well. They're bit more convenient to carry.
Probably one of the most difficuld tasks in the armie ! be focust for hours , not move a inch, there spiders and otther insects crowling on youre boddy and sommetimes wild animals find a sniper ! the pro is you can kill from a distance and the enemy dont know youre position . I wish Ukrain had a whole brigade of snipers... it would speed up the end of this useless war !!!

Kyiv was an independent city centuries before Moscow was built, the Tsardom of Russia didn't incorporate the autonomous Zaporozhian Host / Cossack Hetmanate (in Ukraine) until the 18th century
