  • This is a review on the SRM 1216 semi-auto shotgun. With a capacity of 16+1 12 gauge shells, the SRM is quite easily one of the most versatile and combat-ready shotguns on the planet. This setup features a Holosun 510C-GR optic, SRM backup sights, and a Grizzly Gunworks muzzle breecher.

    i discovered this because of a video game and the 16 capacity instantly makes it a staple, no reason to use anything else. too bad in the game it's tube fed, so it's like having the 16 mag capacity with none of the drawbacks lol.

    I have that shotgun in Odie green. And I had bought one of the door breaches from SRM cost me $200. I see you have a door Breacher on yours it doesn’t look like an SRM can you tell me about it? I did want to mention one advantage to the magazine on SRM and that is it’s a battle shotgun and has the advantage of shooting from the Prone position. Something you can’t do with a long magazine hanging out the bottom.

      It's from Grizzly Gunworks. They are clamp on, universal-fit brakes for most 12 Gauge shotguns. They're ok, but it's better to go with the threaded one from SRM. Here's a secret, though. The SRM has a 7/8 x 24 thread pitch, and you can find the exact $200 breacher that SRM re-sells from Safety Harbor Firearms at a fraction of the price: safetyharborfirearms.com/product/12-gauge-breacher/

    Looking at the differences between the IWI TS12, I think the SRM 1216 based on quicker reload due magazine change. Length might be longer overall but considerable to DP12 and I'm loving the side ejector vs the out the bottom and burning an arm from the brass coming out. Definitely putting this on my list of guns to get. Thanks for making the video man.

    How much ammo have you put through it?
    I’ve had nothing but issues w/ mine. Has trouble 1610FPS slugs, has issues w/ most Winchester ammo, has issues w/ Fiocchi ammo...
    I’ve used all the recommended ammo and a ALWAYS get double feeds, failure to eject, etc.
    I’ve sent mine back to the manufacture 2x and still have issues. Idk what to do... 😓

    • @EchoDelta2A
      @EchoDelta2A  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that. I've only had over 100 or so shells down the pipe, but I've only noticed an issue with some low brass Remington buck that I once tried. The Hornady 00 buck I've been using, along with the Winchester 1oz slugs have worked fine. Haven't really tried anything else yet, but I'll have to assume that if it ain't broke, I shouldn't fix it lol.

    How do you like the Grizzly hunter brake? Have you had any hick ups with it or problems with it feeding ammo due to how it ports gas? Also how does it handle recoil (felt and muzzle climb)?

    • @EchoDelta2A
      @EchoDelta2A  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly, I wish I would've just bought the SRM choke/breacher. The Grizzly didn't have any issues, it was just gigantic and heavy. I would've preferred the look and weight savings of the SRM one better.

    With the iron sites did you have to adjust for the difference in height on the front and rear rails. I haven't put any sights on mine yet.

    • @EchoDelta2A
      @EchoDelta2A  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No adjustment was needed on mine. They seemed to be on the money from factory at about 25 yards. This was the first gen though. If they aren’t doing that anymore, and you have to place them on yourself, I’d imagine they would definitely need to be adjusted.

      Check your Serial number, if it is beyond ( A001200) It’s Gen2. The Gen 1 guns have a rounded portion at the back of the receiver. Yours is squared (gen2).
