Tropical Ocean Wave Oil Painting Tutorial: Step by Step

How to paint a clear tropical ocean wave with oil paints: step-by-step.
Oil paints are perfect for painting seascapes due to the slow drying time. By blending the oil paint with a soft brush, create realistic waves and water textures.
I used five different colours, two blues, one yellow, white and an earth colour. This allowed me to mix a range of turquoise and marine shades. However not too many supplies are needed for this tutorial. You can also follow along if you paint in acrylics.
