You did perfectly well on the waves both in use of colour to separate near and far. You are very good with painting water waves
Thank you :-))) The reference I used here is a close up shot of some surfers doing their "thing" in the waves - so there was no need for air perspective simply because there was not enough air between the front part of the painting and the back part. Beautiful. Thank you for this lesson.
Most don't understand that it's okay to take your time and it takes practice. A lot of practice.....which I learning at the time
Thank you :-))) Yes, learning to paint is like any other skill - it takes time to be developed. No one, not even Da Vinci, learned how to paint REALLY well over night. Patience and dedication...and then the sky is the limit!
Such a spectacular process and outcome! This has opened my eyes to some problems I have been having. Thank you for this video and your helpful channel!
Thank you :-))) And I`m glad that this video was able to help you get some things sorted out :-)))
Very very beautiful painting...I love it...

Very impressive! Thank you for sharing.💕
Thank you so much :-))))
I didn't notice your stiff accent because of your amazing talent.. thanks for sharing Sir.
You`re welcome Joan :-))) We germans are world renown for having this clumsy accent...but I try to improve ;-))))
I don't think I can follow...
Thank you for sharing this video with us! I have so much trouble with water, I'm so excited about this trying this technique out in your video ! I really think I can do this time! Beautiful painting! Just subscribed!
Thank you :-))) And I`m glad that you like this video - I hope it will truly help you :-)))
This is a wonderful tutorial and you explain it so well. I do matte acrylic and gouache and really struggle with some of the so called tutorials that just paint and never explain what they are doing and the decisions they make. I am working on a sailboat painting with a water reflection that I have started over a few times because I don't like the reflection and this helped so much explain what I should do to improve and I will apply this information on my next attempt.
Thank you so much! And glad that I could help you out :-)))

Maravilhoso seu trabalho! Moro em Fernando de Noronha, um lugar privilegiado por Deus. Fico perguntando pra minha professora como podemos expressar essa luz tão linda que reflete no mar. Vc me mostrou um caminho...., obrigada ❤
Obrigado pelo elogio :-))) Estou com um pouco de ciúme, amo o mar mais do que tudo e adoraria viver perto de um mar quente.

Certainly, by 8:30, the water already looks quite realistic. Awesome tutorial! I always WANT to paint a hyper realistic scene. But I’ve only accomplished that in my childhood and early adulthood. And only occasionally, @ that. I envy your talent, Brenner. But, I celebrate you, as well. Awesome lesson!
Thank you so much :-))) but just get back to painting, practice a lot and you WILL become really good - it`s more hard work than pure talent!
Amazing. I almost needed my Ray Bans to finish watching this intensely sunlit video!
:-)))) Thanks a lot :-)))
Incredible skills! If I can paint like that one day I'll be able to die fulfilled. Thank you for sharing your talents!
Thank you :-))) But this here truly can be learned, a bit of patience and dedication is really all you need for this one! This is not a high end hyper realism stuff that requires a ton of technique...this is straight forward - give it a try (stay patient!!) and you will be able to do that in no time!
How this isn't a photograph - is beyond me. Amazing realism
Thank you!
The first one he shows is a photograph I believe, he based his painting off of it. I did the same thing, I sat there staring at the photograph in absolute awe trying to comprehend how that was a painting until I realized it was a photo for inspiration. The end result of the painting is still absolutely beautiful
it is
Suddenly I started having a passion for painting specially watching shorts n I started doing it. But all i have are normal white a4 papers, doms water colour n only one brush the generic one. I have achieved something but not what i wanted. I was having trouble with water n that's why i came here
Great :-) Did the video work for you? Were you able to learn someting?
@@brennerfineart yes, a lot. Thank you so much

Thank you! Big honour for me to be named in one sentence with one of the grandmasters!!!
In the end, everything that we see is an optical illusion…and this is an exceptional example. 👍
Thank you Anton :-)))
Love your great work👍👍👍🖼 💚💚💚
