    I have this green Mirage 2014 DE CVT. Its been a solid workhorse, very reliable. I'm at 80k miles. All I've done is the brakes once, new serpentine belt, new tires, and 2 CVT fluid changes every 30k miles.

    I do a lot of roadtrips in my Mirage. I cruise at 75 mph/3k rpms and avg 38 hwy. The 300watt speakers 🔊 👌 to drown out road noise. No issues hearing my podcasts.

      Nice! Lots of people who own and drive them daily are pleased with them!

    Hello, I really enjoying your review of the Mirage! I just bought a 2017 with the CVT. I have gotten as much as 56.1 mpg! Thanks again!

      Thanks for watching and commenting! That is crazy efficient eh! I was going to buy a Mirage, but got a great deal on a 2022 Spark! both are all-time favorites in my book!

    I just saw a 2015 mirage with 300,000 miles video, do you think it made it that far ? My first car was a mirage, had alot of fun. It was dark green.

      I do, the car is rock solid, and if kept up with regular maintenance, it should last 300K for sure, I love these cars!

    Great review!! Do you find that the car runs a bit poor in cold weather in cases where you haven’t had a lot of time to warm it up properly? My 2018 Mirage with a CVT requires 10-15 min of slow driving before it drives smooth, I think it has something to do with the CVT fluid taking a while to warm up. But you have the manual so perhaps this is no problem for you

      I no longer own this car, but when I did I lived in Yellowknife, the extreme arctic cold did not play any negative effects on the car, being a 5sp manual I cannot comment on the CVT version. The CVT Fluid makes sense if it's not flowing well, in that case, I would look at a transmission pan heater, which definitely helps in cold temps! other than that how do you like it? I do plan on getting back into a Mirage for the 2023 model year.

      It helps if you idle till the green oil light clicks off on your dashboard. Or just drive it to warm it up faster but try and keep it under 2k rpms to prevent premature engine wear.

    Between Mitsubishi mirage 2020 or Ford Fiesta 1.0 80hp.. what is your choice?

    • @corradettimotorsports360
      @corradettimotorsports360  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have never driven the Ford Fiesta, but it does come with a more powerful ecoboost motor, so it might be more fun and spirited, although it is not in production any longer, you will have to find one used, for me I would still stick to the Mitsubishi Mirage or look at the Chevrolet Spark!

    • @stevensmith8648

      All three are fine but if you get the Fiesta make sure you get the transmission checked. There were issues with some of them.

    • @blazetownsend8785
      @blazetownsend8785 ปีที่แล้ว

      While I am late to this. All Fiesta's can develop the transmission that came in it. Apparently it was a issue in engineering and Ford rushing it. It was why they decided maybe not making normal cars anymore on top of a decrease in popularity. It was a very expensive mistake. Part of the issues that the transmissions have can be solved with programing to the transmissions computer, however, the big issue is the dual clutch system. While I love the engineering that comes with dual clutch, Ford did not do a good job on the fiesta/focus transmissions. Surprisingly the dodge dart has a better run with the dual clutch system, but issues with with electrical also prevent me from recommending it. I would recommend the Mirage, but the Chevy Spark was high on my list too, but not as efficient as the mirage and didn't have enough seats in the rear. I felt the Mirage had better leg space in the rear , but the spark, only needing to seat two had more elbow room if you only need to seat two back there. I really wanted to get a Fiesta until I found there was no good generation for the transmission, and the failure rate was incredibly high.

    I have a issue with my brakes wearing out before they should and screeching. A fault with the 2014 2015 model.
