I’ve tried KKM and radiant comps and never had problems with them unscrewing. 👍 However, both made the gun less reliable when tried with multiple differen G19’s. 😢😢
@@practicepractice2329 Vantage point armory has a comp that replaces the x300 mounting plate. I'm sure it wouldn't be as effective as a proper comp or port, but I bet it'd provide some benefit, and I can't imagine there's any way it could negatively affect reliability when it's frame mounted.
The ramjet and afterburner combo is designed for states like NYC where threaded muzzle devices are banned. It's a work around that's why the barrel is not threaded and the comp is not screwed on.
Do you know that for a fact? I’m pretty sure it’s design has more to do with being compact, light and easy to install/ remove than it is to help a small percentage of people in ban states
I love my RJ/AB on my G17. Two things: You absolutely don’t need loctite as long as you’re torquing the screw to the correct inch/lbs. The comp will become carbon locked onto the barrel after a certain amount of rounds and will require some soaking and tapping with a nylon armorers hammer to remove. If you grease up the end of the barrel where the comp slides on it can make this easier.
Congratulations on your Glockatto. I have three, love them. The only issue is that some 115 grain crap ammo will cause malfunctions. The Radian paperwork says to use 124 grain or heavier.
I put one on a G19 and 3600 rounds later, I’m satisfied with the purchase. Don’t sweat the accuracy part, the 3 I’ve seen or used were just as good as the Gen 5 barrels. None of the screws ever backed out. I did 3k of Blazer Brass 115 and 600 other random factory loads, including Wolf 115. Even though it’s not advised (generally) to shoot plated bullets through ported/comp’d guns, Blazer Brass 115 was the best ammo I tried in terms of accuracy and function. I did have a couple times where the slide didn’t return to battery in the first 100 rounds but that was with Wolf. I put a new factory recoil spring in and had zero issues since.
My afterburner ramjet in a glock 45 has been completely reliable for over 1500 rounds so far. No locktite needed. All kinds of new ammo, of most every grain for a 9mm. It all runs exactly as reliably as the glock before i switched to the comp. People wondering if it is worth it?? Fuck yeah.
I put one on my G47 about 2 months or so ago. No issues whatsoever. Runs everything I've put through it. I add the Holosun SCS for MOS. Handloads using Power Pistol will spit out some flame and actually really helps to work the comp.
Primary Arms was selling blems awhile back. Picked one up for $280 shipped. For that price it seemed like a no brainer and I couldn’t find anything wrong with the fit/finish when I looked it over. Been happy with it so far as well.
I'm sure it's a badass comp but it is definitely expensive. I'm having my g19 ported right now in no small part because it was cheaper to have done than to buy an afterburner or PMM comp.
I have an identical g47 with the radian stuff. Over 12k rounds. Never been cleaned. Running flawless. I have used everything from blazer 124 to s&b 115 and even 1000 rounds of gun show reloads. Never had an isssue of any kind. As a side note do not use amend mags. That’s the only time I have ever had issues. Glock and magpul mags are just fine with the Glock mags being the better of the two.
The only con I can say about the radian comp is the price,..and that’s subjective. The reliable functionality paired with an great esthetics and I was sold. Not only is my 19x still reliable on the range, paired with an rmr gives me peak IG points, and we all know it’s all about the Gram.
hey heads up the back of the blazer brass box says its not meant to be fired through ported barrels or compensators. I still have but it says not to. Also you do not need locktite. Its a tapered screw. Just torque to specc and run it.
I have almost 10k rds of blazer through mine this year. It's not that big of an issue, it does peel some of the plating off but it dosent really affect accuracy
Then one of my good friends machined it for you! Those dudes are awesome. I’ve been carrying a gun with lucky 7’s since it came out and I absolutely love it.
I comp’d my Shield+ OR with a Faxon barrel and comp, I used Rocksett to keep it on as I don’t trust screws to not back out. I don’t bother to take it apart to clean it, just use a bore snake for the barrel and am able to clean what needs cleaning with the barrel pushed forward or back.
I'm poor so I went with Black Friday Sale for Complete Brownells G17 G3 RMR Footprint URG with Ported Barrel / Slide . It has 8 Ports in total and was in sale for 220 bucks . I was actually pleasantly surprised how well it shoots . It for sure reduces felt recoil by XX percentage.
Glock 19C, 17C etc. been here done that.! My 19C is one of my flattest shooting guns i own. I prefer it over my BUL EDC PRO, TTI Combat and PDP w/PMM comp.
Put one on my CA Gen 3 G19 and it ran Federal HST reliably and shot flatter. Then added a Streamlight and my magazines would not feed the last 1-2 rounds. They are 10 round CA mandated magazines. Gotta go back to the range and put the flashlight on the stock gun first, see if it feeds.
I’ve had mine on my carry Glock 19.3 for probably about 3 years now but only around 5k total rounds on it and it’s never been a contributing factor in reliability. I don’t locktite the fastener, it’s a taper thread so it doesn’t need it. I love the thing, it’s fun, make it shoot fire like you said, and does have a noticeable impact on recoil. It also fits into Glock 17 holsters which is a huge plus when carrying. In my experience it has been an overall benefit to the gun with the only downside being that it’s concussive if you ever need to use it inside.
@ put a tardigrade upper for my work sig, had extraction issues as well, brass from freedom munitions reman 9mm would need to be bore punched out here and there, even after >1000 rounds break in. No issues with the +P factory work ammo tho.

I switched to glock with ramjet after going through several shadow systems (MR920 Warpoet (non-comped), XR920P, CR920XP) Every single one of them had some sort of reliability issue - mostly light primer strikes but other issues here and there as well. These were my first handguns so I hadn't realized that wasn't just par for the course. However the CR920XP was particularly bad - first few mags it was getting FTF nearly every round, and long after the manufacturer suggested break in rounds I was still getting the occasional FTF + failures to lock back and stove pipes. I started talking to other people at my range and people said "yeah shadow systems are hit and miss, but my Glock never malfunctions". Picked up a G19 and went 1000 rounds without a single malfunction. This coming from even my best SS guns doing at least 1 malfunction per 100 rounds, often more like 3-5 per hundred. Now my SS guns are collecting dust and I'm fully on board with Glock. I've shared these experiences in various TH-cam comments and reddit and there is always a couple of SS dickriders who claim it must be my fault as the shooter but I've always used the recommended ammo, I don't limp wrist. I go to weekly shooting classes + solo range visits 1-2x weekly and lots of dryfire. I consistently shoot in the top of my local cohort for whatever little that's worth. Seems like if someone who's consistently putting 1-2K rounds down range and training seriously can't make the gun work right consistently it's probably the guns fault. Especially when no other non-ss gun I've touched has had these problems. Anyway - food for thought, sorry for the wall of text.

@Pappy7064 I tried them all and I decided to go with the xmacro non comp with the longer barrel instead of the shorter barrel with the comp
@ Great choice too.
So what you’re saying is get a G34? Got it 👍
You won't be dissapointed.
You can buy a Ruger RXM for the same price as one of these. That’s insane.
Ram Jet!
Any thoughts on the barrel compensators vs the sig slide "compensators"? I've heard talk about pros and cons on both sides.
Very nice
Too violent compared to flatness for me, I run one and the compressor (stock rod caused malfunctions) in a G45 and I prefer my 34 G5.
Have the ramjet on my 19 and 47. Genius engineering, love it.
Have you looked at the Aimsurplus JTT comp? For $60 it's pretty impressive.
Been on the fence about picking one up. I think you just convinced me lol.
Is it worth the bump to Open?
Does it work though? How would this compare to a KKM Barrel and comp?
You have some cool stuff but... are you ever going to use it on camera? I have bought things that broke after some harsh use. Buying stuff is EZ, it's the use, testing and performance that matters more.
sage comp supremacy
Throw the 15 lb radian spring
Tolerance with radian berrel is better than oem berrel .
How’s your accuracy with this setup?
