That's actually terrible since now you have no flash for 5 minutes against a pantheon, you're just asking to be camped by jungler since now you have no flash against someone with a targeted stun that deals massive damage. There's no universe where an anivia or any mage decides to do this instead of poking him out and wave clearing so he can't roam as effectively.
You also have to be close enough to be able to flash past him in the first place. It's very situational, but I'd imagine it could be worth it on some champions in certain situations

Now, why would a pantheon be in melee range against you when you massively outrange him? Because he just stunned you, got his DPS rotation off and is most likely backing up with his shield to counter any incoming retaliation damage. FIRST of all, WHY would a pantheon go in for their DPS rotation against someone where they can't get the kill while they themselves are at kill% from a single skill? Second of all, if he does do this insanely stupid move while he's 1 skill from death, you're a poke/burst mage, just wait it out. Even if he uses it as a reaction to your own dps rotation, all his skills are on cd and now only 1 of yours is, just wait out the 1.5-2.5 seconds and use your other 2 skills. Even if he gets away he has to back because, again, he did all this while 1 hit from death, just shove the wave into tower and get your own recall in. Sure you want the "free kill" but using flash offensively against a pantheon is just a horrible idea for a mage because, oops, now your only defensive mobility tool is gone against someone with a targeted dash stun. You're actually just coinflipping the enemy jungler not showing up to kill you. You're a mage, you naturally push and the panth can be devious and let you poke him in his minion wave so that you accidentally shove and are vulnerable to jungle ganks more frequently with no tools to get out of them. So it's a trick that requires the enemy panth to be in melee range against a mage while also being 1 hit from death which only a terrible panth would do to begin with, requires the mage to use their only defensive mobility option to capitalize on, and leaves said immobile mage extremely vulnerable to ganks for the next 5 minutes. It's simply a terrible option for mages to take in the matchup and skillcapped shouldn't have even shown how mages can do it because it's a coinflip. Garen is a good option to showcase it because then it's melee into melee, less likely to be spaced wrong, and garen has a defensive tool, his Q, to deal with not having flash when he does the trick. Darius is another good showcase because we all know that him getting a single kill can snowball extremely hard, he's still vulnerable to ganks, but it's Darius, he'll turn it into a 1 for 1 and still be ahead if the enemy misplays at all. It's a good trick to know, but not for no mobility mages who need their flash to survive their inevitably pushing lanes.

A good example of how his E works is Karthus. If Pantheon uses E in the direction Karthus is, he will block the damage, if he just uses E in any other direction, it will take the damage.

You see this happen at worlds every year. NA always flashes for the kill and they never make it past groups stage

Take it for what it is, instead of smartassing "GUYS DID YOU KNOW FLASH CD IS LONGER THAN PANTHEON E CD?" ... of course it is, and there's a myriad of ways to beat pantheon, but this is one little trick among many you can use to beat them, especially valuable in early fights when you can more easily keep an eye on the map as to where enemies are.

I love how most tips are just bugs. If you flash WHILE using an ability (which I would argue that you shouldn't be able to, since you are basically doing a casting and you should be locked in place for it to take effect) to get behind Pantheon, but your skill has actually casted BEFORE you were behind, that damage should still be blocked, cause is the direction the attack is comming. But riot will just go with this as if they planned it just cause some top 1% guys abuse it claimming it is a mechanic while it is actually an exploit. League of legends you all.
As a Pantheon main, I am quaking in my boots right now. I can't believe they told everyone about my champion's biggest weakness. If you walk around my E, there is absolutely nothing I can do. I am completely powerless and my S-tier champ is useless and has no counterplay. I definitely can't recast E to end the animation early and I definitely don't have a point and click stun with 600 range in all directions - no sir, not me. Yes, I could flash in response, but it's probably down because I use it to tower dive the ADC every four minutes. This video has absolutely gutted me, and I fully expect my winrate to plummet, never to be recovered. Okay, for real though, Pantheon is highly reliant on items for power and favors short trades. He loses long trades in lane against the majority of assassins and bruisers. His two best builds in my opinion are a one-shotting, mobile assassin with AD, attack speed, on-hit, lethality, and move speed or a bruiser with AD, ability haste, health, survivability, and offensive burst, but he can't be both. The assassin build can be CC'd and bursted with enough damage, and the bruiser can be outlasted and can't match up to other bruisers' damage unless he's ahead. He needs AD items to scale his damage, most of which comes from Q, autos, and empowered W. Tanks with high sustain can force him out of lane, but that might backfire if he decides to use his newly acquired freedom to roam to other lanes, camp objectives, or steal your jungle. If you can beat him in lane or go even, you'll have an easier time, since he doesn't scale well without items. If he loses lane, he could also decide to peel for his carries and still be annoying. The champion certainly isn't invincible, but I main him because I believe he can overcome nearly any obstacle, be it bad matchups, a lost lane, or even his own counterplay. (Also, the get behind his E trick is actually situationally good advice for winning fights against him; it's just a lot better if your champion doesn't have to use flash to do it.)

Another bad take skillcapped short, if your counterplay requires you to use flash then it isnt really viable. Also only works in a 1v1, in teamfights flashing into the enemy team just to kill the pant isnts exactly a good idea. Only issue I see with this is that no mage in their right mind would let Pantheon get that close. This is also based on the very specific situation that: A - Your flash is up. I have a different method: don't try to kill him Just farm, don't all-in him unless he makes a mistake and wastes his E. Panth either also flashes, or you burn your flash for a single kill which either is not game determing or just gives u a small lead on your lane, while he still has flash up and can just r back to lane and kill u with ignite. Here is a better tip: When u see Pantheon in Pick phase, lock in Nunu with ghost cleanse and tell the team u are mentally unstable and will run down midlane, in hope someone dodges. If you do this the first time, the pantheon will probably flash with you the second time, so you don't flash. Then he will lose flash AND still die

whole bunch of geniuses in the comments section, what an unexpected twist... anyway this short little video is ONE trick you can use to turn a close fight that you would have lost into a win because of clarifying how the damage block actually works, such as being able to flash mid lux ult to count the laser (that's still shooting in front of him) as "hitting from behind". Take it for what it is, instead of smartassing "GUYS DID YOU KNOW FLASH CD IS LONGER THAN PANTHEON E CD?" ... of course it is, and there's a myriad of ways to beat pantheon, but this is one little trick among many you can use to beat them, especially valuable in early fights when you can more easily keep an eye on the map as to where enemies are.

I love how most tips are just bugs.
If you flash WHILE using an ability (which I would argue that you shouldn't be able to, since you are basically doing a casting and you should be locked in place for it to take effect) to get behind Pantheon, but your skill has actually casted BEFORE you were behind, that damage should still be blocked, cause is the direction the attack is comming.
But riot will just go with this as if they planned it just cause some top 1% guys abuse it claimming it is a mechanic while it is actually an exploit.

As a Pantheon main, I am quaking in my boots right now. I can't believe they told everyone about my champion's biggest weakness. If you walk around my E, there is absolutely nothing I can do. I am completely powerless and my S-tier champ is useless and has no counterplay. I definitely can't recast E to end the animation early and I definitely don't have a point and click stun with 600 range in all directions - no sir, not me. Yes, I could flash in response, but it's probably down because I use it to tower dive the ADC every four minutes. This video has absolutely gutted me, and I fully expect my winrate to plummet, never to be recovered.
Okay, for real though, Pantheon is highly reliant on items for power and favors short trades. He loses long trades in lane against the majority of assassins and bruisers. His two best builds in my opinion are a one-shotting, mobile assassin with AD, attack speed, on-hit, lethality, and move speed or a bruiser with AD, ability haste, health, survivability, and offensive burst, but he can't be both. The assassin build can be CC'd and bursted with enough damage, and the bruiser can be outlasted and can't match up to other bruisers' damage unless he's ahead. He needs AD items to scale his damage, most of which comes from Q, autos, and empowered W. Tanks with high sustain can force him out of lane, but that might backfire if he decides to use his newly acquired freedom to roam to other lanes, camp objectives, or steal your jungle. If you can beat him in lane or go even, you'll have an easier time, since he doesn't scale well without items. If he loses lane, he could also decide to peel for his carries and still be annoying. The champion certainly isn't invincible, but I main him because I believe he can overcome nearly any obstacle, be it bad matchups, a lost lane, or even his own counterplay. (Also, the get behind his E trick is actually situationally good advice for winning fights against him; it's just a lot better if your champion doesn't have to use flash to do it.)

They use impossible scenario to discredit a tip. It’s actually impressive just how dumb people can be. It goes without saying this tip can change a whole lane if done properly, and is actually useful info. People are just fools.

Except you got 1 thing kind of wrong. Its exactly like Yasuo’ wind wall except Pantheon’ blocks more than projectiles from that direction.

Another bad take skillcapped short, if your counterplay requires you to use flash then it isnt really viable. Also only works in a 1v1, in teamfights flashing into the enemy team just to kill the pant isnts exactly a good idea. Honestly i think Skillcapped needs to have actual players review the video before releasing it, as content like this screams " I dont play lol against real people or understand the value of summoner spells and the meaning of counterplay".

Only issue I see with this is that no mage in their right mind would let Pantheon get that close. This is also based on the very specific situation that:
A - Your flash is up.
B - The enemy Pantheon isn't brain dead.
Still a useful tip, but it's suuuper conditional to how high your self preservation is.
I have a different method: don't try to kill him
Just farm, don't all-in him unless he makes a mistake and wastes his E. You and your team will outscale him if he doesn't get a lead early so he'll eventually need to try to force something somewhere
Also, the people who play these agressive early-midgame champions lose their shit whenever their laners refuse to interact with them. It makes them more likely to make mistakes or get baited into easy ganks
Btw, this sort of misleading "wait for it" shorts where the payoff ends up being some bs are excelent for reactions and exposure but the dishonesty might net you less subscribers in the long run
Yes I love using a 5 min cd flash that’s much better used on staying alive or confirming kills just to outplay a 20 second base cd skill (and in the case of lux what lux uses R from that close anyways)

Alot of people in comments complaining abt having to be melee or flash - you can flash in a way that puts you at a angle behind him.

This is for when you know you can kill him if E doesn't stop you. Not for just poking him... lmao.
You don't need it every 9s if he dies after you do it and then you get a lead on him.
dude is called skillcapped but i think he is elo capped to gold 2 max. Panth either also flashes, or you burn your flash for a single kill which either is not game determing or just gives u a small lead on your lane, while he still has flash up and can just r back to lane and kill u with ignite. Here is a better tip: When u see Pantheon in Pick phase, lock in Nunu with ghost cleanse and tell the team u are mentally unstable and will run down midlane, in hope someone dodges. Much more effective.
Yeah, why the fuck would a ranged or poke champ like lux, aniv or ez walk up to melee range into phanteon just so they could waste their flash to go behind him and get a kill, instead of wait until phant E finishes....
