This is like my fifth reread through Dresden but doing it with booktube and talking with other booktubers has made it so much more enjoyable. Having read a lot more fantasy since my last reread I realized just how good of a writer Jim Butcher is.
Blood Rites is on my TBR for this month as well. I started it a long time ago and then I stopped reading them and want to pick them up. I hope I haven't forgotten everything!
It's been so good! I love how low fantasy it is and how ruthless these gang families are. It's dealt with some serious political topics, abortion, religion, sexuality, all kinds of unexpected stuff.
Awesome TBR Alex! I love that you’re enjoying The Dark Tower so much…definitely one of my favorite series! The Coward/The Warrior is a duology I can’t wait to get to as ive heard pretty great things! Hope you enjoy The Warrior!
@@alexnieves I’d say Wizard and Glass or Drawing of the Three for me! I love both of those! The Gunslinger is one that I think back on more often than other entries though and it’s great on a reread as well
Hi, the paperback for The Warrior is published tomorrow, special limited edition hardbacks were produced for both The Coward and The Warrior with The Broken Binding, and as time of typing, out of the 500 sets....it's down to like 30 I think? Maybe less......
You killed me with the whole Dresden genius bit 🤣 I hope you love Jade War. I did not like Wind Through The Keyhole but I wish you nothing but success on that front. Emperor's Soul is not tied to Elantris in any way besides being on the same planet, and yes it is much better than Elantris haha
Better than Elantris isn't setting the bar too high haha. I'm almost done with Jade War and it's been awesome. I don't like to brag but I'm a genius, ask my mom.
@@alexnieves oof haven’t done a ranking in awhile I think last time it was in the top half. Its not my favorite but I think its my favorite of his shorter works
So far in August I've finished; Star Wars Darth Maul Shadow Hunter I'm currently reading Guns of the Dawn - Adrian Tchaikovsky - This excellent so far. The God is Not Willing - Steven Erikson And I'm currently re-reading; Assassin's Apprentice - Robin Hobb And I'm gonna start my Red Rising re-read soonish
Out of curiosity, assuming you grabbed Shadow Hunter as part of the Essential collection, did you go for trade paperback or the new audiobook? I just started the latter and have been enjoying Sam Witwer's narration.
This sounds like a great TBR Alex- good luck with all the books. Enjoy your week away. I'll be tackling Red Seas under red skies along with Wakers, The Book Eaters and Six Crimson Cranes followed by a Dragons Promise this month. I'm currently reading Nettle and Bome by T. Kingfisher which is enjoyable so far.
Here's my tbr for August Always young and restless by melody Thomas Scott her memoir Swan song by Robert mccammon Winter of the world by ken follett The stone knife by Anna Stephens The monarchs by kass Morgan Desperation by Stephen king The regulators by Stephen king
I just started The Dark Tower, the final book! I'm excited to hear your thoughts as you read on. I think you've read Salem's Lot, right? Highly recommend that one before Wolves of the Calla, but otherwise, I haven't read most of the other King tie-in books. Enjoy the beach!
I actually read Salem's Lot as my first King book ever! I loved it and DT has been awesome. I hope you enjoy the ending, I've heard people are somewhat mixed on it.
Classic Alex, forgetting what months he already lived through...
I never forget anything! What were we talking about?
This is like my fifth reread through Dresden but doing it with booktube and talking with other booktubers has made it so much more enjoyable. Having read a lot more fantasy since my last reread I realized just how good of a writer Jim Butcher is.
Totally agree! It's probably my favorite fantasy series right now and geeking out over it with y'all is gonna be great.
Blood Rites is on my TBR for this month as well. I started it a long time ago and then I stopped reading them and want to pick them up. I hope I haven't forgotten everything!
I remember it being not one of my favorites but everything after it was amazing
I hope you will enjoy the wind through the keyhole
I have no doubt I will!
That's a lot of books for 1 month ! I hope you're going to get some extra reading time at the beach and of course enjoy your time off.
Thanks! I won't be surprised if I fall short of my goal but Dresden books fly by so we'll see how it goes.
Green Bone sounds awesome and that edition is beautiful. I recently got The Gunslinger and am looking forward to it!
It's great! I hope you enjoy Gunslinger, it's awesome but also pretty different than the rest of the books so far.
@@alexnieves I’ll definitely try at least the first 2 books in The Dark Tower!
YT "experts": consistency is key.
Alex: Hold my beer
Enjoy the vacation!
I'm definitely the most consistent person on TH-cam. Don't fact check that.

Hi 👋 I hope u enjoy all ur August reads!! Good video!! 🦋🎥🎬
Thanks as always for watching
Nice TBR! I can’t wait to look more into dresden files
It's so good! I hope you enjoy
You're a very stable genius.
I'm probably most excited to check out some Sun Eater this month, at long last!
I try not to show my genius too often. Yay Sun Eater!
Raymond Feist Book 3 of the Firemane Saga is my current read. I plan on reading The Warrrior also.
I hope you enjoy both!

Oh I thought it was late August, shit! I really want a copy of those Broken Binding editions but it's UK only 😭😭
@@alexnieves they ship internationally so you can get them. I'd put in a link but YT won't let me.
