Null being the negative space in the middle of the triforce, dormant but always existent, was a really unique direction.

Somehow I feel like it was an answer to the (now debunked) "Tetraforce" and "Anti-Force" theories (although Lorule's Triforce could've been their answer to the Anti Triforce theory).

The way I see it. Null is to Demise what The Goddesses are to Hylia.
Null and the Goddesses are primordial forces - while Hylia and Demise are creations of the respective entities - who would later go on to reincarnate as the Princess and Ganon.
Potentially, Null even adds evidence to the tetraforce theory - potentially being the avatar of the "empty void" in the center of the 3 triforce pieces. - sealed within creation itself.

    • @Chris-gx1ei
      @Chris-gx1ei 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

The thing About Demise is he doesnt represent Null's will at all.
He seeks out to turn all of creation into a realm for him and his demons.
Null literally wants everything to return to its state of nothingness.
Not to forget that Null is UNABLE to create proper Demons like Demise or Ganon, only "echoes" of them.
Otherwise why is the Might Sword effective against the Monsters from the Void while functioning normally against regular Monsters? The answer is: They are not real, they are clones of the Monsters serving Ganon

    • @zakzerak7191

The thing though is that Null cannot create Monsters, he only creates Echoes of already existing Monsters, otherwise why are only the ones from the Rift weak to Crystals of Might?

I see it this way too. I’ve always thought this demon had to exist for there to be balance in the universe. Demise was obviously opposed to Hylia, which means he was probably brought in to being by the previous generation of gods/demons.
What’s left ambiguous in Echoes is whether Demise was a rift monster, or what his connection to Null is. Demise hated the gods, but why? My guess has been that he wants to to use the Triforce to undo creation, so this fits

Actually Demise wants to use the Triforce to turn all of creation into a Demon World, he didnt want to turn everything into nothingness, he just represents the Will of the Demon Tribe to tortured the weak and cause war and conflict.
Null doesnt seem like a Person wanting conflict at all, he rather seems more like a Person wanting everything to be quiet

Since the Triforce is with the Deku Tree instead of the Sacred Realm, I assume the Royal Family placed it there, which it could only happen on the Downfall Timeline as after ALttP, the Royal Family was in possession of it and very likely placed there, and reason why it was called Prime Energy might be related due the fact that the Triforce has been faded to obscurity to the point it's name had begun to be forgotten, which it has shown both in the Downfall and Child timelines as by the time of ALttP it was only referred to as the Golden Power before it was reclaimed by the Hero of Legend, and Twilight Princess is referred to as the Power of the Gods

Why are ppl convinced that Null and Demise have to be connected? Why can't they be two different villains? Null is obviously a being that existed before the existence of the planet. But Null didnt crave power. Null didnt want to conquer. All Null wanted was nothingness. Demise/Ganon actually want power. They want to control the world. Their goal is completely different from Null's.
Demise/Ganon - Wants to the Triforce to be all powerful and control the world, shaping it with his dark desires. He wants power
Null -- wants the Triforce to destroy everything so that he can have his nothingness. He wants death.

I dont think Null changes anything drastically, just adds an element to the story of Hyrule's creation that was previously unknown. If we really think about it Null is technically not evil, he merely exists as a deity of nothingness. He doesn't want the power of the Triforce for himself. He just wants to use the Prime Energy to return everything to the nothingness he once enjoyed. Null basically just wants to destroy the world because he likes nothingness. The difference is that the Demon King Demise invaded Hyrule in order to obtain the triforce for himself. He's not trying to destroy the world, he's trying to conquer it. They have different goals which implies they are different entities 😌🙏

Null is practically the sentient personification of _Entropy_ in the Zelda universe, hence its desire to undoe all of existence for the sole sake of leaving reality as it was before the Golden Goddesses gave birth to it: Nothing.
Demise is labeled as a being of pure selfish desire and greed in the japanese version of Skyward Sword, so his motivations are more mundane and less abstract when compared to the literal personification of entropy and chaos in the Zelda mythology.

I'm really shocked that ppl really want to try to make Null and Demise the same or even connected. I mean sure anything is possible. But I would much rather Null just be its own entity/character.
I say let Null stand alone and let Demise/Ganon also stand alone. It's been years since Zelda had a new villain, we don't need to always connect to Demise/Ganon for it to make sense lol

@@Chris-gx1ei I can see Majora, Bellum and Malladus being part of Demise original demon army, then going their own way after Demise original defeat, with Malladus becoming a successor Demon King of sort that continued the battle before being sealed himself (he is not a reincarnation of Demise like Ganon, he is simply another powerful demon that took the place of Demon King in a power vacuum). We are told that Demise original invasion was pretty much a world scale event, so I don't find it unbelievable at all that while Hylia was facing Demise, the rest of his demon armies and their generals were breaking havoc all over the place even in the other continents, with the other minor gods such as the Spirits of Good and their Lokomo servants trying to oppose them. We do not have an exact timescale for when Malladus was sealed, but it was long before Spirit Tracks so I don'f find it hard at all to believe that it also happened around the time Demise was wrecking havoc in Hyrule and that Malladus was part of the original Demon army. As per Majora, it could be a demon that was sealed in the mask, or it could be that the mask became a demon after being exposed to the dark rituals of the tribe that created it. Bellum was likely a Demon also.

So Hyrule is essentially the Ancient Greek idea of Gaia, where she is the layer between Uranus and Tartarus (the sky and the underworld). I believe that Echoes takes place long after Zelda 2 as Ganon has been gone for so long that he was forgotten along with the Triforce and the River Zora have become completely peaceful and created their own civilization.

@TheBanishedWind Both after ALBW and after Zelda 2 AoL work.
After ALBW and TFH is the first golden age Hyrule has which may lead to the world expanding, the only thing missing is the fact that kings were actively using the triforce over and over to keep prosperity, which we don't see in EoW.
On the other hand Zelda II AoL's ending sets up the Second Golden Age. NES Link becomes king of Hyrule which is implied since he's the only one who can read the dead kings writing, we have a restored triforce and we have two Zeldas now within Hyrule. It sets Hyrule up for a new golden age that possibly gets lesser Hyrule by to its original size state (like in ALBW) and even expanded upon. It makes a bit more sense for the sea zora and river zora to be in harmony too along with the other races returning after so long. It also leaves the state of how they handle the triforce unknown and possibly the loss of Ganon's ashes.

@@TheBanishedWind True and I'm not against that placement either but I still wouldn't rule it being after Zelda 2 out. The decline era is the only known era where the Master Sword's whereabouts are completely unknown leading to new incarnations of Link having to use alternative weapons like the Magical Sword in the NES games.
We already knowing that using an overworld map doesn't necessarily mean much. From what we saw of Hyrule Castle in OoX, it pretty clear it's not the same Hyrule in design (albeit minimal locations were shown).
Just cause it looks like ALttP's overworld but expanded doesn't mean it cant appear that way after Zelda II as well. It's just like how I can't use the fact that Zelda II only enemies like the Moa and Auroda also appear in EoW after all these years.
This is just a part of me but I like the idea of them finally moving passed Zelda 2 timeline wise since an era passed that has remained untouched since 1987 if you ignore BotW/TotK with its vague placement.

Ganon in Beast Form did appear in a Four Swords game, but it was Adventures, in the Child Timeline. Most of Beast Ganon's other appearances are the Downfall Timeline.

The thing about the Child Timeline however is that Ganon was imprisoned in the Four Sword, it has to be a logical Explaination as for why he is not sealed since the Sword was even guarded by a Protective Barrier by the Maidens

    • @javiervasquez625
      @javiervasquez625 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It cannot take place at the end of the Child Timeline, as the Hyrule we see in Four Swords Adventures is literally located on an _island_ in the middle of the ocean without any of the extra land which EoW's Hyrule has for it to be the very same kingdom from Four Swords Adventures.
The game definetly takes place after _A Link between Worlds,_ as Ganon would remain dead following both Twinrova's botched resurrection ritual in the Oracle games plus Yuga's resurrection ritual in A Link between Worlds until the events of the original The Legend of Zelda. Null wouldn't be able to copy Ganon's echo while he remains dead in between the Oracle games, A Link between Worlds and his mysterious resurrection prior to the original TLoZ, making the gap in between A Link between Worlds and TLoZ the most plausible placement for the events of Echoes of Wisdom to take place in.

The fact that so much knowledge from "The Age of Myth" as it was called in BOTW is in the process of being lost tells me this game is a bridge between those two eras placing this game before the first calamity but long, long after anything else. The Tri-Force illustrates this perfectly. In BOTW all knowledge of the relic is lost completely, existing only as symbols in some architecture. When people of that era see those triangles they probably just think "Huh, some weird thing from the age of myth, wonder what that's about?" and in Echoes it's become a secret known only to the Royal Family and even they can't remember what it's called at this point. Plus we see locations from A Link to the Past/Between Worlds which are now ancient ruins. We're seeing the transition to the BOTW era in real time here.

Null is the most terrifying villain since Majora hands down, as all that both want to do is destroy and consume, and that is their entire purpose. Not necessarily good, not necessarily evil. Meanwhile Ganondorf is very relatable with his motives, and some games such as WW even allow you to feel a bit of sympathy for him. He’s terrifying, but not as terrifying as nothingness consuming everything just because that’s what it exists to do. It was a nice switch up to have a villain that was even beyond the scope of Ganondorf’s powers, a terrifying cosmic horror that is beyond comprehension.

Cause as we always know Ganon comes back and he is always in the history books, however for those two games he isn't and the Triforce isn't even mention it gives a brief appearance. The reason why I say that Skyward Sword has a split in the timeline goes back to what happen with Ocarina of Time. Adult Link Defeats and seals Ganondorf, where he is then sent back to the past and having known of the future and gets Ganondorf imprisoned. Which then created the 3 branches. However In Skyward Sword, Link Defeats the Imprisoned and then goes back in time to prevent Demise coming back meaning what Link did in the future had been pointless, but if seeing and hearing along with all the experience's I know there would be a second timeline for Skyward Sword. A Split where Link and Zelda were not needed, it would explain why the first Hero never got the Triforce of Courage as the one with the blood of the Goddess had dispelled the Calamity by using her "Sealing Power" Just as it shows when looking at the picture the one dispelling Calamity Ganon had the triforce in hand.
However the triforce is never once mention even though you see it on that Ancient Drawing and on Zelda's hand at the end. That'd mean those in Skyloft never found out what the Triforce was and had never pass down the knowledge of it only the Symbolic Symbols as you could see on Queen Sonia when Zelda had been sent to the past and on Modern clothing for TotK. Ganon isn't going for the Triforce in those games he is seeking the Sacred Stones which may of been vestments of what Hylia pass to the Zonai as Hylia did reincarnate but her power wasn't needed until Calamity Ganon appeared so the Hero Chosen by the Goddess with the Spirit of the Hero stepped up but did not need or even use the Triforce of Courage just the Sword of Evil's Bane. Meaning the Triforce never being discovered had truly been placed within the one who had the blood of the Goddess. It's why we only see it ever appear with Zelda for BotW and it had been exhausted in TotK, as she had made the wish to get rid of the Calamity. So due to Skyward Sword's Hero defeating both the Imprison in their modern timeline and then going to the past and ridding the world of Demise it created a timeline for BotW and TotK that had no information about the triforce and such.
As we all know Ganon should of had the Triforce of Power but didn't, as he had been a Warlock in most of the games. Makes one curious why the sudden split in Ganon's personality, as he only knew of Link and Zelda due to the time paradox aka Zelda going to the past meeting Ganon and then him being sealed and her becoming a dragon, Link is the one that broke the time paradox to free Zelda and finally get rid of Ganon. It's really wild when you think about it and taking notice of Skyward Sword doing the same thing that Ocarina of Time did but with only a single split of the timeline that may or may not of created BotW and TotK's world and timeline.

I absolutely respect this comment a lot,
But it does make sense for botw/Totk to take place in a different university than skysword. (legend of the sky)
For one thing tho, I think it's likely possible that Ganon broke the role of Prime energy so the Prime energy Shard slipped out of his body. And possibly now Zelda might be wielding both Wisdom & Power

    • @sodajesus8128
      @sodajesus8128 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

@Theonly_z_Official See that's the thing, I have gone over it multiple times. Going through different timelines and trying to piece it together even if Nintendo says "This is the history" but there are details that don't fit.
However when looking at what Demise said to the Hero of the Skies, "An incarnation of his hatred will follow, the Mortal with the Blood of the Goddess and the Spirit of the Hero." Best place for the Triforce to remain hidden would be at the beginning, cause ya know Link seals Demise for good in the past and leaves to his time, and we've seen it happen in Ocarina for the three but mainly Wind Waker.
The Child Prophecy Timeline, Link goes back and gets Ganondorf sealed never confirming the existence of the Triforce. In Twilight Princess Ganondorf was just labelled as the Demon Thief, still hoping the Triforce was there he tried to calm Hyrule only for the Triforce of Power to become active only moments before his death. Makes you wonder why did it break? Is it due to the Sacred Realm being attacked or is it the usual Zelda stuff that he always had it?
So with BotW and ToTK the Triforce only shows 2 times and Zelda had all three piece's, Ganondorf never knew of it and no one else did. It came to Zelda and lasted 100 years keeping Calamity Ganon at bay, while Link recovered and didn't have the Triforce of Courage. In ToTK Ganondorf was more after the Secret Stones, but I don't think he knew the Triforce even existed, and no one else did. It's why I said Skyward cause in the Present timeline it was a myth and Link found it.
Then sealing away Demise in the Past makes it where Zelda never had to go through all of that and Link never had to gather them, meaning the triforce forever remained hidden and had been a Myth the whole time so Ganondorf in ToTK didn't want a power that is a "Myth" when he could take Secret Stone's and become the Demon King, cause if he had the Triforce of Power... Thing's would of been a lot worse. Also much respect and thank you for the comment, I very much nerd out when it comes to Zelda talks lol.

Nulls obviously predates the Demise since it was there before the creation of Hyrule. Also,, I think that the Demise is some kind of "child" from Null since Skyward Sword it was said that the Demise emerged from the underground. My theory is thst the Ganon that we defeat at the start of the game is actually an echoe from Ganon (that was previously defeated in that timeline) and Null used it to manifest in the physical world. Remember that Ganon is an encarnation of the Demise after all.

Can't they just be two entirely different villains completely disconnected from each other? Null and Demise are completely different from each other.
Null has no desire for power. He merely wants to destroy the world and bring it all back to nothingness.
Demise wants ultimate power. He wants to obtain the Triforce, not to destroy the world but to conquer it.
I suppose its possible for Demise/Ganon to be some kind of child to Null.
But why do we need them to be connected at all? It's been years since Zelda had a new villain. We don't always have to connect it back to Demise/Ganon for it to make sense. its more likely that Null is just its own unique character.

      @granddaddyotaku636 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@TheBanishedWind I'm not trying to shut down anything. We don't know for sure that Null is connected to anything outside of Echoes of Wisdom. These are theories and all theories are valid until disproven.
However, I was pointing out the seemingly illogical choice to try connect a new villain to the overall timeline as though everything has to be connected in order for it to make sense. It made enough sense without Null. If Null is left disconnected from Demise/Ganon, he fits nicely as just an ancient being who existed before creation. If we try to connect him to Demise/Ganon then we are retroactively changing the motivations of every reincarnation of Demise aka Ganon as being a result of Null's original influence.
Yes it's possible. And sure we can go down the timelines and make it all connect. But I would much rather have Null be a separate entity, a new ancient villain completely detached from everything, it's only connection to be at the origins of creation.
We already have Demise's cycle of reincarnation and the curse on Zelda and Link. And we were content with that. So why the desire to add Null into the mix? To reiterate your point, yes we don't NEED to connect it. And yes it doesn't mean we CAN'T connect it... But just because we can, doesn't mean we SHOULD.
Anyways like I said, all theories are valid until disproven. Just don't think we should try to make Null make any more sense than he already does.

I still hold to a merged timeline of all of the games, and that every game happens, even if it isn't exactly how we play through it to the letter. The series is called the LEGEND of Zelda afterall. Every game happens, all three timelines happen, just so far spread apart over probably millions if not billions of years. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom take place long after the events of every other game, and are the furthest into the timeline we have gotten.
I think Echoes of Wisdom takes place closer to Breath of the Wild, relative to every other game, but still thousands of years before the founding of "Wild Hyrule" (that is the Hyrule we see in Tears/Breath) I think there was a new Hyrule founded long after the original inprisoning war from Skyward Sword, and long after the events of every other game.
I think this mainly due to their usage of "Prime Energy" to describe the Triforce. To my knowledge this is the only game that features the Triforce, but the characters call it something other than Triforce.
If the Legend of the Triforce is starting to fade, that would explain why by the time of Breath/Tears, the Triforce is entirely forgotten about. It has been lost to time.

ALBW was only 100 years after ALttP, if I remember correctly, and the Link from that game seems to still be alive (Gramps straight up uses the Master Sword in his secret boss fight). That's not enough time for people to forget about the Triforce, and it would also mean there are 3 Links alive at the same time if EoW took place between ALttP and ALBW. Of course people seemed to know about the Triforce in Zelda 1-2, so it's pretty reasonable to say this takes place some time long after those games.

Spoilers are inevitable, given knowledge varies from person to person; some may have watched all the trailers, while others have not, so at the end of the day, just suck it up and deal with it. An unrealistic solution would be to avoid the internet all together and just play the game, thus avoiding any spoilers, but unfortunately, we live in reality and it’s obvious some people can’t handle scrolling past a thumbnail showing the great deku tree, and link and Zelda together. If seeing a thumbnail with suggestive imagery toward the plot bothers you to the point where you have type stuff like “it wasn’t cool to show that in the thumbnail :( I didn’t want to see that. The reason the Goddesses couldnt kill him was simply because the Infinite Power was at the time seperated within all three of them - each has just 1/3 of Omnipotence - and after they United it into the Triforce it was automatically designed to be only used by People that were not born as Kami
They were Kami(=deities), thus they couldnt use the infinite power - at least not to full extend, they just used it to create too much for null to errase
Link and Zelda however were mortals, thus they could kill Null for good with the Infinite power that Null tried to seek out.
Besides I think Nintendo wont return to Null and use him as a Permament Villain any time soon, they gave Demise and others like Zant, Bellum, Malladus and so on the same Treatment of a One Time Villain.
Giving Null a Different Treatment would be a big suprise.

Personally I am weirded out by the presence of the godesses. Aren't they supposed to have left the world after creating it? Also, what are they doing locked up in dungeons? I also doubt the triforce would have had any effect on them since it is just a fraction of their power, not that it would change the villain's plans anyway. The whole reason for creating the world and the godesses strait up speaking to zelda kind of demystify them for me. They used to be those mysterious entities that made the world for no apparent reasons and left it, leaving behind (possibly accidentaly) the triforce, source of all the turmoil around as well as guardians to keep everything in check, as if they knew all along. Tell me if I got something wrong, as details may vary between translations.

Zelda has always had a stronger connection to the divine than Link, or any other mortal in Hyrule. Why *wouldn't* the golden goddesses choose to share essential words and knowledge with Zelda, the chosen bearer of Wisdom and heir to their child Hylia, even if they wouldn't speak to anyone else?

It's kind of funny however to think that null was just doing his thing, living peacefully till the 3 goddess came to him home, beat him up, locked him in the middle of their creation. I mean sounds like null was the victim to me.

      @Chris-gx1ei 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Well, Null didnt allow anything to exist at all, if something appeared, even a single atom, he would have more likely errased it.
The Goddesses didnt want him to destroy something since they believe that that the things he destroys have also a right to exist.
Thus they apparently seeked out the Prime Energy and use it to create everything to surpress the nothingness and simply built the Universe uppon the Void, thus null was too busy to destroy everything at once.
Knowing that Null was still capable of Eventually breaching through to their Dimension, they sent the Tris to fix everything he tries to destroy.
This basically went on for a while and Null remained unable to do anything....

I rather think Null cannot create Life itself, rather it has the capability of mimicing the Tris, though Null can only make an Echo of something he knows just like them...

@@TheBanishedWind Demise and Ganondorf are _not the same being._ Demise's words at the end of the english version of Skyward Sword are a mistranslation of what he actually said in the japanese version of the game. When Demise died, he died for good without casting any "curse" which would lead to the creation of Ganondorf later down on the timeline.
I repeat: Demise and Ganondorf are totally seperate characters with nothing connecting them in any way.

@@TheBanishedWind I'll just leave this quote from a Zelda Scholar named Carl Johansson and move on with the day:
_"Alright here we go. This is an informative explanation about what the curse actually is._
_In Japanese the curse Demise talks about is called the curse of the demons/curse of the demon tribe/curse of the demon class/curse of the demon race._
_It is a descriptive curse not a prescriptive curse. Demise talks about his hate towards the Gods' tribe when the duel between him and Link starts and after Demise is defeated he calls his hate the curse of the demons (he describes his hate and the hate of all demons and evils in general as what grants them their cursed state, the curse always existed. The hate towards the gods is also known as the hate of the demons or the hate of Saṃsāra). When Demise is defeated in Japanese just like in English he talks about his hate towards those with the blood of Hylia and the spirit of the hero (something that Ganondorf and Malladus later feel when they meet defeat), every Link and Zelda is attached to the world they wish to protect so a clash with evil is unavoidable and some evils hold powerful grudges towards those who defied and denied them of their evil wishes, one cannot get out of Saṃsāra if one has attachments._
_The curse of the demons describes negative emotions, thoughts and desires. It describes the cursed state of demons. It describes the cycle of Saṃsāra (Buddhist cycle of birth, death and rebirth which is perpetuated by one's own hate, greed and delusions/ignorance (the three Buddhist poisons) as well as one's good or bad karma) that demons go through. It describes the concept of "evil will always exist no matter what happens, no matter how many times evil is overcome". It describes the eternal war between good and evil because of the nature of Saṃsāra, the universe, evil, demons and good/those who oppose evil._
_"I will rise again" is a mistranslation, in Japanese Demise says either that he is going to explain what the curse of the demons is a second time or that history will repeat itself depending on the translation._
_Demise's name is actually not a name in (he and his servants do not call him that), in Japanese it's Shuuen no mono which when translated means "The one of demise"/"The person of demise"/"The destroyer"/"Tyrannical being"/"Demise", in French it's "Avatar of nothingness". The title only describes what Demise is and represents and it also describes his successors and incarnations/manifestations (not literal direct reincarnations of his soul): The Maō (Demon kings/Kings of evil) Ganondorf (nickname: Ganon) and Malladus who just like Demise are sources of evil (Demise is no longer a source of evil after Skyward sword because he was completely eradicated) and embody the same concept._
_Vaati and Bellum are Majin (devil/demon god, not to be confused with the other Majin which is written differently and means demon being/sorcerer) and could also be considered incarnations/personifications/manifestations/embodiments/representatives of the traits and desires of demons and evil but the demon kings in my opinion are pure manifestations in comparison. Majora's mask's entity is only ever referred to as a demon being/sorcerer (in it's wrath form), Flat the composer brother seems to refer to Majora when talking about the Akuma (devil/demon) that his brother Sharp sold his soul to as Sharp later talks about the Masked one's ploy._
_In Skyward sword we see the cursed state of demons in the cursed Bokoblins who have a hatred for the world._
_In Ocarina of time we see the cursed state in some of the enemy poes that have a hatred for the world according to the Poe collector._
_In Twilight princess according to Auru the doomed inmates of Arbiter's grounds (Execution site in Japanese) have a cursed state because of their grudge (Japanese word: on'nen)._
_In Breath of the wild Calamity Ganon is a manifestation/incarnation of Ganondorf's deep seated grudge, powerful hate, desires, emotions and thoughts (kind of a copy of Ganondorf's soul that lives outside of his real body and was formed from his emotions, thoughts and desires), according to an interview Calamity Ganon is partly based on Taira no Masakado's Onryō (vengeful spirit fueled by a deep seated grudge usually because of something done to it in life, some are capable of bringing natural disasters) and in Tears of the kingdom Ganondorf is an evil Ronin because he is connected to Calamity Ganon meaning he is also partly based on Taira no Masakado. In other Zelda games we learn that greed and ignorance/delusion is also what grants someone the cursed state of a demon (which makes one a demon)._
_ALTTP was the first game that had Jaki (evil energy/malicious energy/miasma/bad air that often is with a spiritual connotation. It is associated with malevolent forces or spirits) which is the energy Ganondorf uses for his dark magic, in ALTTP the Bug catching kid started to feel ill because of Ganondorf's evil energy (something we also see with an old woman in TOTK’s Kakariko village). In MM we learn from the Happy mask salesman at the end of the game that the Jaki inside Majora's mask has disappeared, Jaki also appears in the text of some other Zelda games._
_In Skyward sword we hear about on'nen (grudge, the English localization translated it as malice) which in BOTW is the energy of Calamity Ganon (an Onryō), On'nen is the emotion of intense hatred and grudge towards something or someone, On'nen is the fuel for Onryō but it is different from Ganondorf's Jaki as it's not Ganondorf's dark magic but instead his emotions, thoughts and desires taking physical form._
_In TOTK we have Shōki (miasma, The English lozalization translated it as gloom), Shōki refers to harmful air or bad air historically linked to disease and miasma, it is associated with physical environments and the spread of illness._
_The curse of the demons is a trope that also appears at the end of TP, outside of the Zelda series it appears in Pokémon mystery dungeon (Dark matter's final words) and Dragon quest XI (Calasmos' final words)._
_(This part is something some people don't understand)_
_There is no invisible Demise ghost doing anything and the curse is not something sentient or something that does stuff to fullfill a checklist."_
