Man I knew speedruns were gonna be fast for this game but not this fast. Btw @linkus7 when is the next randomizer coming? Been waiting for another random for a while.😎👌
10:51 "Once I have done that, I am now ready for the setup" he says, after over a minute of setting up for the setup. That's the most speedrunner thing I've ever heard in a speedrun.
As sweet as this whole run is, I'm really curious what the 100% run is gonna look like. What echoes are best to get early? which ones are best to use to get others? I feel like that pathing is gonna be cool as hell.
the tornado guy and the bed can get you almost anywhere. Add water to it and you can reach 95% of places. The mole is a must as well. Probably grab the flying bomber to spam at enemies and you've got a pretty good start of almost everything you need to get everything in the game
@@jovecutur5560The application of Lynel is underutilized as it needs 6 triangles to function, and you don’t get that till basically end of the game. I think at that point you’ll just be using it at the Dojo.
I watched this being recorded live, and that’s some amazing skill, more impressive than the speedrun itself. It’s crazy how little editing there was in the final product. Absolutely goated
So impressive do to the frame perfect skips and final boss whilst explaining! Also the current WR doesnt even use the spider echo - this run is getting even better!
The way you link (pun intended) your Twitch stream to the TH-cam segments (sponsors, endcard videos, CTA's) in this video are almost smoother than the speedrun itself! Well done man. Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Loving these speedrun explained videos Linkus, super cool seeing old ones I know and being nostalgic, and then learning about cool new ones. Hope you keep these up, you do a great job running them and explaining them my guy.
*looks at the way Null is fought* Mother.... I didn't even consider that, I just spammed combat echoes for half an hour trying to find one that wouldn't be instakilled
I feel validated cause I did it exactly like this, except using different echoes as a distraction, and occasionally throwing some arrows or bombs around myself to get rid of the mob enemies faster. It was funny to mentally yell at Link to just hit the damn arm I was literally shoving on his face
I just beat the game blind yesterday, and my first thought was that every boss has something to pull, but that’s not true. Maybe I just expected that to be the case after the first one.
Very entertaining! Also, thanks for making people more aware of using bind in the final battle, I’ve seen way too many people think it’s just about echo spawning. Bind makes the battle quicker AND more dangerous because you have to stand still for a while.
In spots like around 12:30 where you need to travel in one direction for a while, a Pathblade would really save you some time. Those things haul ass if you jump on it at the right time.
@@JB30VRi was skeptical at first, but it has so much heart in it, and is genuinely interesting and fun. Completely turned me around, I gotta get it soon
this reminds me of a video about speedrunning Majora's Mask. one part involved a "wrong warp". part of the setup required NOT activating ANY of the Owl statues before learning the warp song. (i forget the name)
Back when links awaking was on the GB as a kid i found a door glitch that kept on shooting me up to the top of the map where the Yoshi egg is without any items or as "default link". Could not defeat the boss but was fun to find it, mind you this was in the early 90's.
The amount of things you can Bind in boss battles that aren't always immediately obvious can be kinda crazy. Dark Link's shield, Seismic Talus's core, Ganon's thrown trident, Volvagia's amulet...
Oddly, I often forgot I could bind things in dungeons when I actually had to, but used it on my echoes and enemies all the time lol Pulling and holding an enemy in front of your echoes to get hit is rather satisfied.
Been waiting for this one! Haven't been able to tune in live due to exams, and missing one stream for this game, you miss a heck ton. I remember when you ended stream before runs hit sub 40 saying you hopes there wasnt a new route to practice, and you woke up the next day running an all new route that was sub 40 lolol. Can't believe times have gotten this far already 😮
Lol I actually beat the game casually last night and had no idea you're supposed to stretch the arm with the pull ability xD I just spawned enemies to attack it lol
bruh i just beat the game and i just learned you're supposed to pull the arms. i was throwing a bunch of echoes and the wind up guys dampe made at the arms
No idea if this will help shorten the speedrun but in the water section of the final boss, when I first played it, I noticed that to the bottom right of where you start, there's an invisible thing you can grab on to and pull out. once you do that, it softlock's you and shows a black screen with the only thing there being the A button pop-up that you get when you pull the Tri force out. my guess is that the devs accidentally added another, invisible Tri force but if you try to pull it out, the game relizes you haven't fought the final faze.
I didn't figure it out during the first phase. But I did notice that just wailing on them seemed to take too long. Then I noticed that the arms were individually targetable and that is always a dead giveaway that they are pullable.
Not a speedrun, but interested in also taking the topic of beating Echoes of Wisdom with only 2 echoes? It overlaps a lot of the strats with the 30-min speedrun, but I think the peculiarities of using only the table for beating the game until the first dungeon can be quite interesting.
i love that basically everyone overuses the bed, speedrunner and casual LOL up until i got water bed was my #1 used item ( casual - i aint skilled enough for speed run )

1st, hey linkus
Second to be here to watch my fav youtuber❤
I wish you made videos for the love of humanity like old youtubers did and not for a job.
Man I knew speedruns were gonna be fast for this game but not this fast. Btw @linkus7 when is the next randomizer coming? Been waiting for another random for a while.😎👌
Hi there, Thx for the explainations. Does it works the same way for 1.0.0 ?
10:51 "Once I have done that, I am now ready for the setup" he says, after over a minute of setting up for the setup. That's the most speedrunner thing I've ever heard in a speedrun.
most baffling thing is probably that this exact setup was found this quickly
This run is absolutely busted, but it's very rewarding to learn and run. Highly recommend if you don't mind the long intro
I’m learning it right now! Just need to find time around school and sports 😂
11:57 dude casually nails a frame perfect trick to get a FIRST TRY wrong warp in a brand new zelda game not even a month old... actually INSANE
He's good at what he does 😂
it is what unbuffered manual super swim does to a man
i can’t think of many other speedrunners that are as good at explaining / making videos as they are at the game. bro is top shelf in both
As sweet as this whole run is, I'm really curious what the 100% run is gonna look like.
What echoes are best to get early? which ones are best to use to get others? I feel like that pathing is gonna be cool as hell.

Also Lynel for combat.
still bed prob

I'm most interested in a 100% or even glitchless run.
I'm super curious the solutions people will come up with for a less broken category like that.
personally I think the run I'd like to see the most is the Any% No Wrong Warp. I typically prefer it in games that have wrong warps or credits warps.
I'll be curious to see a "minimum number of summons" run
I had no idea you could grab and stretch the arms lmao

Pure comedic madness with a nice delivery.
Been waiting for this one for weeks! Thank you!
You can beat echos in 30 minutes, but I watched this video in under 25 minutes
I watched it in like 11:xx thanks to 2x speed glitch and sponsorskip

Couldn't wait to finish the game so that I could look up speed runs of it. Seemed like a great candidate
Any% is dead in less than a month that's crazy. All Dungeons will be incredible 👀
I love twotch chat selling out that you died in the one null room fight 😂
I would love to see an all echoes speedrun
I love how speed runners show up... "how long did it take you to develop this game?" Years.
Speedrunners: cool cool, 30 mins best time.
I have missed wayyy to many streams this entire route is so new to me 😮
"without having to do any of the puzzles" figuring out these glitches is a more difficult puzzle
I never even thought of pulling Nulls arms wtf. I just boomerang bokoblin spammed the fight and that made it easy enough💀
2:30 Zelda with the magic parkour.

Awesome video Linkus! I have a feeling we will be seeing this in AGDQ 2025 which has me excited!
Jag älskar dina videorna. Skulle va kul att höra du prata svenska ibland, som en som lärde det mig själv.

It wouldn't be a true Zelda game if speedrunners couldn't beat it within an hour
RIP Twilight Princess 😢
speedruns with explanatory commentary are my kryptonite
Omg you can pull Null's arms? Lol, I just had my darknuts attack them. I really did not use bind in my playthrough enough...
I also didn’t know I just used my lynel

@@ShycoWar I def did it to the first talus, but I tried to do it to the fire one and it would unbind immediately!
It’s super useful, but just something that you don’t often remember exists for some reason.

Owl statue and storage flashbacks
Crazy! It took me gazillion attempts to beat the boss and he does it with 3 hearts.
The speedrunning community..... they take a game that's already way too damn short and make it unbelievably shorter
IT’S ONLY BEEN 23 DAYS
Meanwhile I’m struggling to defeat the bosses on the dream training in under 15 minutes lol. Definitely learning from speed runners and taking notes.
Great video!
okay that's beautiful
As a casual playing this game I soaked the sea urchin everywhere
I'd be super interested to see low% or min echoes speedruns!
I would as well, but in this run they use so few echoes already that I dont see it decreasing much sadly
thanks for the explanations! time to practice speedrunning this

I didn’t even think about grabbing the arm… I just did the echo that throws bombs.
Crazy route, damn!
2:24 He Means The Time It Takes To Find Echoes If You Have Many
If this guy became an MCU superhero, I would actually buy the movie.
With the power to create everything anywhere it was only a matter of time to break the game. And we did not have to wait long at all.
I like how over 1/6th of the run is the intro 💀
Man i've just complete the game right now didn't know there were trampoline omg

Not a big fan of wrongwarping, but the difficulty of the final boss makes up for it.
yeah i’m excited to see no wrong warp (or even no warping at all) speed run strats
How do you get zelda randomizers? Could you show me?
In typical Nintendo fashion, half of the speedrun is cutscenes
Funny how I played the game in hero mode for the first time so this boss was so hard that I already knew the underwater section was auto scroller
Someone's gotta insert the morshu explaining something meme
dod they patch the warp glitch in v1.0.2?
The moment I played it I knew people would obliterate this game with speedruns

Wait your supposed to pull the arms? I just summoned a buncha darkknaughts and let link get his vengeance lmao
When doing the sign trick, why do you need to open the pause menu then go to the map, instead of directly opening the map?

If you really want to know, LunaticJ made a video on the discovery progression
Twitch chat calling you out for dying to the fight at 16:25
Imagine a zelda echoes of wisdom lockout race
Killing Ganon at 2:30 and regaining control of Zelda at 11:20... 9 minutes straight of pressing B to skip dialogues, that looks painful for a speedrun
I won’t lie, things like this are really cool, but I always prefer glitchless speedruns
Thank you. My brain hurts.
recreating the gameplay behind the pause menu was a nice touch
