I just spent an enjoyable 41 and a half minutes watching this excellent video. Happy to contribute my little bit too. Great work by the whole team.

FINE video and I saw the Blue Hat right off and finally figured out that the steam vent bvehind the stack was the little steam turbine and dynamo. That one took a while but it finally bubbled up. Sorry it's all gone but that's the way it is. And with all the electrical wires it looks like the maintenance would be a nightmare to keep going. Glad also to see no diesels running with the steamer, even though it did fog out on the hill. Best part was the train to glory and A.B.C's up again. Thanks Mate and CHEERS to you and all the best from us Hillbillies!

Hey there Old Swampy. I don't know about this fogging out on the hill stuff. I had a Red signal, that was why we slowed down and came to a stand at Eudlo. I wish the hill start had been longer, I would've been able to really make her bark then. We only took diesels when we went on the long tours, just in case we broke down. This area is considered apart of the Brisbane City Train Network, so no diesel or even a water truck is needed. Will catch up with you soon. All the best from Central Queensland.

Great videos and still excerpts. Finely edited. I never realised the speed those 2-8-2s could muster. That was a great start on the Eudlo hill. That is a real drivers machine. Where did the coal come from?

Thanks for the Kind words Kimball. The Yank was fun to drive, it would start to bounce a bit around 70 but smoothed out bit the closer to 80kph. The coal mostly came from Blair Athol, but this Loco had been used at Swann Bank and had some Ipswich or West Moreton coal mixed in the tender. As far as the editing, I'm getting to know filmora the more I use it.... but far from proficient. I'm getting on top of the next video your photo will feature in. Just waiting on some other photos to come in, so look out for it in the not too distant future. Cheers.
