If I had to play devil's advocate, I'd say the diff between ELC and 176 isthe skill floor required. 176 seems to be press W and engage everything. ELC requires an understanding of LT play and vision mechanics.
I haven't played WOT in the last 2 years but I still remember having a lot of fun in my AMX CDC. That said, definitely not be played by newcomers. You are 100% correct with the T92. I still remember telling my teammates that if they wanted me to be able to do my job, please annihilate the ELC when I spot it.
Ka-ri is incredible because of the mobility camo and viewrange. It can spot for it self. Move around as a medium tank. Bounce couple of shots and has the gun to kill any enemy it meets.
M6 is probably my favourite tier 8 premium. If you equip it right, it is a very flexible tank. This tank is quite rare and not many players know where to shoot. I often get 2K+ dmg blocked. It is also quite tall, so you can aim for the roof of many heavies & ofermach it. Problem with this tank is huge side profile & power creep of other, better premium heavies which you will be facing quite often & you need to carry quite a lot of gold ammo, but often even that may be not enough. It kinda sucks that WG did not made at least different "copy" of this tank with different name (like they did with KV-220 & KV-220T) & sold exactly the same one. But at this point, who cares. Game is arbitrary & p2w anyway.
QB's comments on some tanks having armor that just isnt relevant anymore due to newer vehicles coming in with higher pen really hit home to me. Making my way through the top of the tree for the Badger and the line just doesnt feel like that mobile bunker it used to feel like.

As someone how plays the grom a lot, I would switch the position of the grom and the tortoise. The grom has a ridiculous impact on the heavy line and can create such a mayhem which most of the time can decide the result of the battle on its own. On the other hand I can't remember that I struggled against the tortoise in any battle. Probably the xm57 should be a tier higher as well, it destroys the heavy line (which we know is mostly the most influential part of a map).
Outside of boosting to early position skoda t56 is just as nasty as bz-176 some times even more brutal. Sure the gold pen is 248mm, but its ap. Goes though alot more than people think. Often it will do 1000 damage in 3,5 seconds and then the reload is 20 seconds for another round of 1000 damage. The armor is also better than it seems first glance.
Good stuff as always QB, but did you notice, you got a part missing about Lowe, where you jump up from Tiger Mouse to conclusion of Lowe at about 6:48 ;) Maybe you want to reupload?
I got lucky with that one free large Box everyone gets and got the Squall. I am 50% TD player, 30% heavy tanks and 20% mediums. No arty, no lights AT ALL! And I have to admit, the Squall is just a hell of a fun tank to play. I play it as a medium tank, supporting the frontal brawlers, flanking enemy tanks. At the end if I am alive, I go straight to hunt arty and paper TDs down. And it works very well. As for TDs, I got the T-103 for bonds, and damn its good. You can play it as a long range sniper, as a hull down brawler and hell, sometimes even in close quarters because of the all around turning turret.
XM57 is better than Turtle imo, i hate having to sit out shooting small dmg, i rather do a big boom, back off, reload and go out for another big boom also overmatching so many roofs makes it better than Turtle as well, so for me, XM57 Pay to Win, Turtle, Decent choice.
Okay, the Jadgtiger 88 has amazing damage per minute, accurate gun. Same great armor as the Jadgtiger Proto, I think you put it too far down. I do more damage in my 88 than my proto cause of that
I got the Bourrasque and the Prog46, and I perform well better in the Prog, tho I can understand that tye Bourrasque is a little better for its spotting capabilities, but saying that the Astron is better than the Prog seems wild

Even worse, he continually advocates for nerfing a product after you buy, encouraging Wargaming to sell overpowered premium tanks only to nerf them after sale because a community contributor complains. Its exhausting trying to understand what tank where on the list. PAY TO WIN tanks: Heavys: BZ 176, Charlemagne, Obj 752, K2. Mediums: DZT 159, Bourrasque, Astron Rex, Light: EBR 75 Destroyer: Turtle
There is not much point in tier I-IV tanks unless you need them for daily mission completion. I'd say best ones are the tier III powerhouses Pz S35, FCM36Pak40 and Pz.-II-J. All 3 of these are a nightmare to play against. I think Pz.S35 is the highest winrate tank in the entire game.
Putting the Charlemagne next to BZ-176?!? Those tanks are KILOMETERS apart from each other. The turret is fairly weak, because all around the mantlet the turret has like only effective armor of around 200-210mm, so sometimes even regular go through it. The turret is unreliable and the DPM is absolutely horrendous. The tank is indeed not bad, but comparing it to the BZ is just such a ridiculous overstatement.
Toro needs a bit of an armor or alpha buff having a 0 hull and a massive cupola is redicioulous especially when you can't even side scrap because of the 0 hull
All they need to do to balance bz-176 is reduce he pen to 150mm and increase the ap pen to 230. It means that the he wont pen most tanks and then dpm will go significantly down because ap will then be more reliable damage and has less alpha. The ap buff is only to keep it playable. Also it should get a reverse pref mm as never meeting tier 6. The bz problem is that it boost in to position and then two shots everything it finds. If the ap was better and he had less pen it would mean that bz would need about 60 seconds to kill 1 tier 8 heavy. The only reason stats show bz is performing better is that once bz is top tier it hyper performs.
I think the bz is the typical tank which cannot be balanced. It is ridiculous against lower tier tanks but completely trash against high tier tanks. This high alpha+low pen is either totally op or not competitive at all. What could be done is completely changing the tank. Lowering its gold alpha to 600, changing it to apcr, heat or gold ap and buffing the pen to 215 standard/250 gold. Derp guns as a concept doesn't work anymore.

18 new tanks and 0 new maps. WG could just make a separate MM game mode with the old maps for a limited time, create a new map from the scratch is very hard, why they don't use the old maps as a separate queue for players to enjoy some variety, especially now during the Holiday Ops where the MM is full of players? Or maybe fix some issues with the old maps and bring them back, that would be easier than creating a whole new map, but still I wonder why WG just don't care as much as they should about new maps...
This is my personal opinion after play 95% of the tanks listed in the video including the ones i mention below; HEAVIES: I would switch the Somua SM for the Tiger Maus (for me the Somua doesnt perform that well and could even go for the situational category, meanwhile the tiger maus performs great even against tier 10.. Very strong alpha, turret and track armor) MEDIUMS: Maybe Lansen C could go to decent choice and also put the T54D in the super competitive or pay to win (if we consider is a rare and expensive tank from boxes), that thing has ridiculous armor for a medium. I also think Felice has really nice alpha, gun handling and mobility for the kind of tank it is, personally i would put it in a decent choice as long as you play it carefully/second line tank. LIGHTS: Even though the ELC is useless in terms of firepower, is still a super strong spotter in the game even above some tier 10, personally i would put it to super competitive. TANK DESTROYERS: As a tank destroyer enjoyer that also has 95% of all the listed in the video, i think i would move the XM66F to decent choice and the T103 go straight to situational/avoid (XM66F armor is not reliable and the T103 gun doesnt perform that well in combat, plus the fact the tank is very chunky and sluggish that you cant really win any close fight) Next i would move the XM 57 to super competitive (really strong gun and troll armor right now), Skorpion G to great performer (great mobility, cammo and 360 degree turret), sHPTK-TVP goes to great performer as well (amazing pen and shell choices, decent mobility and great dpm), and finally the Ka-Ri in super competitive (can achieve surprising results with a really nice gun handling and mobility, at least for me)
With all the gold rounds flying around rn I managed to get a steel wall medal with the WT German t9 tank destroyer at 26 dmg blocked shot from a squal LT
@1:00:59 Curious how you say the SU-130PM has a finicky gun compared to something like the GSOR 1008. The major difference is dispersion of the turret traverses and the limited gun depression the SU has. [Aim time, general gun dispersion are all equal. Technically the SU-130PM can reengage faster with less dispersion.] Maybe what you are noticing is that the terrain resistance feels sluggish in the SU-130PM and loses out with turret traverse. Just note the GSOR is almost 2x the mass of the SU and overall moves stupidly fast despite all of that added armour.
I'm about to get 8k bonds during the winter raid event, and was eyeing for the Chrysler or Defender as my first tier 8 prem bond tank, then realized that the Defender is 9k bonds, so Chrysler it is then. However from the reviews, its a OP tank at tier 6-8, but at tier 9-10 its weak, then again all tier 8s are weak against tier 9/10's. I am looking for a consistent tank, that has consistent armor to block & consistent high alpha dmg---aka take a hit and dish it out. In short like be good at all 3 things---armor, gun, mobility. So all in all, which bond take is best to get? get something now for 8k or gather more for the Defender? 1) So far Chrysler fits the bill, decent mobility for a 60ton tank, 320 dmg, 198 pen is enough at tier 8, front armor is OP at tier 8. 2) Defender is 1k bonds more, tho it has high alpha 440dmg, good pen 225, decent mobility and again OP front armor but still this is at tier 8, it will struggle against tier 9/10s and it does have the cupola weakspots that are more prominent. The last thing I heard is that its gun is too trolly, that people drop the rammer to use Vents, IA & V-Stab... I don't really want a inconsistent gun. So is the Defender truly worth it or get Chrysler instead? 3) The Liberte is "decent"? I heard that its very skill bound, due to its weak cheeks and weakspot cupola on the turret.
The AMBT in this time isnt a good tank, it hits but its gun isnt dependable, you will be lucky if you hit anything. With the long reload it isnt ideal to play in 2024

The moral here is that all premium tanks will be dogshit in due course. Because power creep and Wargaming's desire to suck cash out of players are things that will ensure it. The sensible option is not to get on this stupid conveyor belt in the first place.

Yeah the M6A2E1 has great armor. I was suprised on how good it was after I revisited it

Strv S1 above Skorpion is just wrong, the only scenario a s1 is better is when your scouts dont suck on a sniper map. So 1 game every 10000

It's one of the lowest average damage per game premiums of tier 8, think only kanonen JP is lower

Skorpion G is so much better than the SU 130PM. Better mobility, more accurate gun, fully traversable turret. I have both.
My problem with tl7 is that gsor 1008 is very similar and arguably better at lower tier.

41:00 it has a 5 round autoloader actually which makes it so great. I have it, its probably my favourite medium i like it more than my bourrasque

True. I basically never load AP because the only reason to is if you want to overmatch.

Next i would move the XM 57 to super competitive (really strong gun and troll armor right now), Skorpion G to great performer (great mobility, cammo and 360 degree turret), sHPTK-TVP goes to great performer as well (amazing pen and shell choices, decent mobility and great dpm), and finally the Ka-Ri in super competitive (can achieve surprising results with a really nice gun handling and mobility, at least for me)

With all the gold rounds flying around rn I managed to get a steel wall medal with the WT German t9 tank destroyer at 26 dmg blocked shot from a squal LT
I also play forward when top tier in almost any glass canon so my team probably expected a medal but not most blocked damage smh like… wow!

Most don't though, and it's not exactly an easy shot to make unless you're sitting still at point blank range

Curious how you say the SU-130PM has a finicky gun compared to something like the GSOR 1008. The major difference is dispersion of the turret traverses and the limited gun depression the SU has.
[Aim time, general gun dispersion are all equal. Technically the SU-130PM can reengage faster with less dispersion.]
Maybe what you are noticing is that the terrain resistance feels sluggish in the SU-130PM and loses out with turret traverse. Just note the GSOR is almost 2x the mass of the SU and overall moves stupidly fast despite all of that added armour.

i disagree with some of these, but great vid.
I'm about to get 8k bonds during the winter raid event, and was eyeing for the Chrysler or Defender as my first tier 8 prem bond tank, then realized that the Defender is 9k bonds, so Chrysler it is then.
However from the reviews, its a OP tank at tier 6-8, but at tier 9-10 its weak, then again all tier 8s are weak against tier 9/10's. I am looking for a consistent tank, that has consistent armor to block & consistent high alpha dmg---aka take a hit and dish it out. In short like be good at all 3 things---armor, gun, mobility. So all in all, which bond take is best to get? get something now for 8k or gather more for the Defender?
1) So far Chrysler fits the bill, decent mobility for a 60ton tank, 320 dmg, 198 pen is enough at tier 8, front armor is OP at tier 8.
2) Defender is 1k bonds more, tho it has high alpha 440dmg, good pen 225, decent mobility and again OP front armor but still this is at tier 8, it will struggle against tier 9/10s and it does have the cupola weakspots that are more prominent. The last thing I heard is that its gun is too trolly, that people drop the rammer to use Vents, IA & V-Stab... I don't really want a inconsistent gun. So is the Defender truly worth it or get Chrysler instead?
3) The Liberte is "decent"? I heard that its very skill bound, due to its weak cheeks and weakspot cupola on the turret.
id suggest the liberte. the chrysler falls apart at higher tier premium rounds and the defender is depressing to play

The AMBT in this time isnt a good tank, it hits but its gun isnt dependable, you will be lucky if you hit anything. With the long reload it isnt ideal to play in 2024
