But on the hybrid maps, i mean this tier 8 light just shreds anything lightly armored with the 50mm pen HE. And can do ~600dmg in few seconds to even tier X heavy tanks. Tier 8 and below MM i’ve so far found it op.
this seems like a pretty good credit maker from the shell cost point. all shells are cheap so even if you only load the "premium" ammo you'll make credits
Just like you said, mister QB. This was the one tank I did not want from the boxes, and now that I got it - it's the one I want to play the most. And I'm not a good player! And I never played any CZ lights before!
It's a light tank similar to the AMX 13 57, just for having fun! It's not for trying the camo scenarios in the smallest bush like the ELC or trying to fit in the same pattern as other LT's. It's a tank for bombing around, causing chaos and not feeling bad if you screw up
I don't get all the squall hate - I'm a below average player with just under 1000 WN8 but in the squall (20-something games) I'm getting 2000 WN8 and 57% winrate. For me the tank really just clicks. I play it like a bourrasque with a 'worse' (depends on the range) gun, and it just works.
I think people try to play it in a way that doesnt work with the tank. And they cry way too much whenever a premium tank isnt borderline OP and also cry when it is OP. I mean this tank literally has the gun of the t9 tech tree czech LT at tier 8
New tanks always get good matchmaking, happens to me every time I can get upto like 70% wr in first 10-20 games and then you get the average losers and you fall to 48

This is the one I was Looking Forward to, I haven't started the Grind of the Czech Lights, but I wanted to see what the Line felt Like... I liked the Overwhelming Firepower Mode, so making the Gun Work isn't as much the Issue as finding the Rythm of the Tank, doesn't Hurt that I was a Vulcan Gunner in the Army... My First Build was aimed at making the Gun more Accurate at Range (Optics, Stabilizer, and Bounty Aiming), the 2nd Build was Aimed at trying to take what it does Naturally and try to Improve the Mobility while trying to Maintain some of the Gun Handling (Vents, Stabilizer, and Exp Mobility), the Current Build is just a For Giggles Build to see what Happens (Vents, Exp Fire Control, and Exp Mobility)... So far, none have been BAD, but None have been Outstanding Either, I Attribute most of that to the Platform itself more than anything, it Feels more like a Stealth Medium than a True Scouting Light Tank...
Yeah they are easy to kill if you see them coming. Good thing too because WG could have easily made these tanks OP and we have enough problems with light tanks in the game as it is when it comes to spotting them. The ELC is damn hard to find.
@@obrys5494 Only with good players, most ELC's I can out spot because they just cant resist firing their gun. Even my British tier 8 out spots ELC's unless it's a really good player with patience as his 1st commander skill.
About the issue of low WR, I think the main problem is that it's just utterly useless on actual 'scouting' maps. Outside of a more radical change, I think they can give them at least +10 view range (380 VR for tier 9 for example is just utter trash) so they could compete a bit better at early game on open maps. If you're considering it WG, give the same to some Chinese LTs while you're at it.
I like these tanks, they blow up nice and spectacularly when I lob a few Shells from the M53/55, XM is another beloved explosion waiting to happen. These 2 plus the Contradictious have gotten me quite a few battle awards enough to complete some long awaited campaign missions.
if this thing had 5/10 km/h more top speed, the XM57 had alot less pen, and the toro had a tiny bit faster reload, i think WG wouldve absolutely nailed this years lootbox tanks.

idea to nerf gold rounds without breaking the game: What if they put a cap on the amount of gold rounds you can carry, like you can only carry a maximum of 20% of gold rounds in your entire ammunition pool
Mm would be filled with superheavies, you just need gold on most tanks for superheavies. Cause lets be real, flanking is not an option on a lot of maps without first winning a flank.
I would say for those who don't play scouts well, it does really good at the medium support role. I am a decent light player, I wouldn't say great or even good, but decent, and I just have better luck with this light tank, playing it like a support medium, and occasionally doing annoying light tank things. I will say I didn't consider taking vert stabs, wasn't really sure how much that would help the tank, which seems like it really does help and may use them in the secondary build.
I actually got this tank from the large box you get after opening 12 advent calendar doors. I got only one box, so I got the tank on the first try. The probability of that is absolutely ridiculous.
This tech tree just felt like a missed opportunity to make combat focused “medium lights.” Lean into making them worse at scouting and let them fill more of a flexible medium tank role. Imagine getting a city map and being glad your team had a combat light instead of a scout light. Like the sniper/assault TD paradigm.
i`ve got this one on my second box, but since i`m not playing light tanks at all, it will end up as free garage slot and scrap metal on Trade In event when it comes.
I love this one...the fun I had playing it outranks the negative WNR. Playing in this one, makes you forget everything. I had a big smile on my face obliterating those tanks.

It reminds me of the playstyle of the t5 VK 16.02 Leopard using the 3cm flak cannon... just w/o the amazing HE shell. The pen and mobility is mediocre, but if you play it correctly and sneak up BEHIND slow dumb heavies like KV-1's/BDR's/Churchills, then you can wreck their bum and flanks.
Wow qb is saying that nerfing the gold rounds would be bad. Only because he spams them all the time. Make them cost actual gold again, or nerf their damage like they do for autocannons.
Well in reality light tanks aren't always the fastest, we like to think that way in terms of the gameplay but it's an easy misconception. Lights and mediums have historically been in the same arena movement wise, at least till the 60's. One thing people usually miss is that flat fields and terrain aren't really flat and with many bumps and dips a fast moving tank would flip easily. They are made to be quick on roads and sneaky everywhere else. EBR105 is a fantasy the way it moves in this game, in real life it would have flipped over at those speeds very quickly.

Burst fire is always better with any auto-wpn j/s Got 80 boxes and ONLY got the Squall and XM57, along with some cheesy low tier Prems 😮😜 The problem I see with the Czech light, along with the Char Mle 75 and VK 28 105, is people play them as Meds and not scouts, and if it's the only Light on the team, you're screwed... I see this also with other lights, were people do the same. Should scout 1st, then shoot later j/s

This thing has absolutely wiped me in my bourrasque a couple times. Bought 25 boxes and ended up picking up this thing instead of the DZT, kinda disappointed
Why would you not take deadeye? Di these tanks get some bullshit internal lockout for pens causing crits? Because if they dont i cant imagine a better skill than deadeye.
I think the camo is too high on this. Its a big tank, and has almost has good (0.11) worse than a 12t, while being substantially larger. Its HE potential is also way too high. DOUBLE damage with HE, while having good pen on them means it can clip out so many tanks so quick. Make it 12 vs 16 and it would be fair. It can clip out every other light tank it finds, while still being a very good scout.
QB, the issue with the Czech autocannons and poor win rate is not a skill issue, to some degree. Most players are just sitting back and trying to play sniper with these pop guns. Most are not being scouts, which was my initial concern with this style of tank. As a result, scouting is not being done and teams are suffering. If anything, I've been having much better games in my AMX 13 90, T54 lightweight and WZ-132. Getting a ton of passive and active scouting/assistance damage.

The role of a light tank is not to sit in rear near spawn and snipe, which is what I am observing, hence my better spotting and success in my light tanks. The more abd better vision you can provide for your team, the more successful you will be. This was very prevalent in WWII. My former wife's grandfather was an M10 Wolverine tank commander. His recount of light tanks is that if they were firing their guns, they were in deep. When they scouted, and provided the necessary information to other heavily armed tanks, more victories occurred and lives were saved. Now, I have an actual job to tend to versus arguing with internet trolls. My comment was focused toward QB. If you don't care for my observation, scroll on by. This conversation is done.
In a normal tank you can take a shot and pull back into cover, in this thing you have to stay out in the open forever to do anything. Nobody will be playing it by next Xmas.
I donr understand the hesitation to use auto aim that some olayers have. It doesnt make you a worse player that you want to get by easier and if you understand how it works and when to use it you can use it suprisingly lot

Ive found with mine that due to the poor top speed compared to other tier 8 LTs, youre most likely not going to be the team spotter. So I use an equipment build that feels better for an all-purpose brawler/closer distance fights - being a rotation device, coated optics, and a turbo. Makes the tank a bit more combat ready while not sacrificing its entire spotting ability.
all of the czech lights need a buff. all of them are to slow. the tesak has to bad cammo and viewrange. if u need a turbo on a light u know its fucked its fun if it works, but u cant spot vs even 90s at tier 8 or against a manti at tier 10 i love lights but the czechs are just pure pain if the map or team is not in your favour
This tank has the size of a Progetto and it feels less agile. Its really a joke. Try to traverse it on soft terrain. It has 12.16 °/sec. That is ridiculous.
so what are the things u can do with this tank aside from the meta-play-combination of having good camo, being at least ok-fast and using a cvs? what all the good players do is allways the same no matter what tank they play in, cause this meta is so advantageous - its not a good tank if it can do that. its just normal and u would even expect them to able to so. if u take that aspect away, those czech lights are horrible as lights. they only work against bad players and in very specific moments. they are too fat, cannot trade in most situations, get HE-d from everything, are immobile as hell and cannot effectively snipe. not that u cant play them - just every other lighttank is better and more effective^^ and if your opponent is no bad player, he will play to his lights strengths and then those czech lights have nothing left but to wave the white flag.
What no? This tank can destroy tank of the same level in less than 7 seconds, right? That is not ultra OP? AND on top of that most of your shells are inside 30% of aim circle which is pretty small even when is biggest. This tank is just disgusting.

Since wargaming started adding BRRT tonks in the game, I wonder if they would risk it for the biskit, to bring the real BRRRT in the game (aka, invent a tank with the GAU-8 avenger gun). I doubt they could fir that monster in a turret, but what about a T-95 or E3 modified to use that super clapper gun?

You really need to make a video talking about nerfing damage of gold rounds. Would be worth looking into as its worked well for blitz

so this is basically the old MTLS-1G14 at tier VIII but kinda balanced

All wg need to do to fix gold rounds is keep the pen higher than standard lower the DMG it can down below the standard and make the rounds cheaper

I am by no means a great player, if you ask me :) But I really enjoy the challenge and thought process I have to make for making both the Tesak and now the Squall work for me, but that might just be because I am not really used to playing a light tank :P
Can be a good tank, but boy does it make you work hard for it.

This thing has absolutely wiped me in my bourrasque a couple times. Bought 25 boxes and ended up picking up this thing instead of the DZT, kinda disappointed

Why would you not take deadeye? Di these tanks get some bullshit internal lockout for pens causing crits? Because if they dont i cant imagine a better skill than deadeye.
I think the camo is too high on this. Its a big tank, and has almost has good (0.11) worse than a 12t, while being substantially larger.
Its HE potential is also way too high. DOUBLE damage with HE, while having good pen on them means it can clip out so many tanks so quick. Make it 12 vs 16 and it would be fair.
It can clip out every other light tank it finds, while still being a very good scout.
QB, the issue with the Czech autocannons and poor win rate is not a skill issue, to some degree. Most players are just sitting back and trying to play sniper with these pop guns. Most are not being scouts, which was my initial concern with this style of tank. As a result, scouting is not being done and teams are suffering. If anything, I've been having much better games in my AMX 13 90, T54 lightweight and WZ-132. Getting a ton of passive and active scouting/assistance damage.

@@TROLGUY999 for both of you. The role of a light tank is to spot targets for all the other tanks, and attack when necessary, or when opportunities reveal themselves. The role of a light tank is not to sit in rear near spawn and snipe, which is what I am observing, hence my better spotting and success in my light tanks. The more abd better vision you can provide for your team, the more successful you will be. This was very prevalent in WWII. My former wife's grandfather was an M10 Wolverine tank commander. His recount of light tanks is that if they were firing their guns, they were in deep. When they scouted, and provided the necessary information to other heavily armed tanks, more victories occurred and lives were saved.

In a normal tank you can take a shot and pull back into cover, in this thing you have to stay out in the open forever to do anything. Nobody will be playing it by next Xmas.
I donr understand the hesitation to use auto aim that some olayers have. It doesnt make you a worse player that you want to get by easier and if you understand how it works and when to use it you can use it suprisingly lot

Ive found with mine that due to the poor top speed compared to other tier 8 LTs, youre most likely not going to be the team spotter.
So I use an equipment build that feels better for an all-purpose brawler/closer distance fights - being a rotation device, coated optics, and a turbo.
Makes the tank a bit more combat ready while not sacrificing its entire spotting ability.

all of the czech lights need a buff. all of them are to slow. the tesak has to bad cammo and viewrange.
if u need a turbo on a light u know its fucked
its fun if it works, but u cant spot vs even 90s at tier 8 or against a manti at tier 10
i love lights but the czechs are just pure pain if the map or team is not in your favour

This tank has the size of a Progetto and it feels less agile. Its really a joke. Try to traverse it on soft terrain. It has 12.16 °/sec. That is ridiculous.

so what are the things u can do with this tank aside from the meta-play-combination of having good camo, being at least ok-fast and using a cvs? what all the good players do is allways the same no matter what tank they play in, cause this meta is so advantageous - its not a good tank if it can do that. its just normal and u would even expect them to able to so. if u take that aspect away, those czech lights are horrible as lights. they only work against bad players and in very specific moments. they are too fat, cannot trade in most situations, get HE-d from everything, are immobile as hell and cannot effectively snipe. not that u cant play them - just every other lighttank is better and more effective^^ and if your opponent is no bad player, he will play to his lights strengths and then those czech lights have nothing left but to wave the white flag.

What no? This tank can destroy tank of the same level in less than 7 seconds, right? That is not ultra OP? AND on top of that most of your shells are inside 30% of aim circle which is pretty small even when is biggest. This tank is just disgusting.
@@RaceSmokie Definitely not OP but when I play it, it feels that way 😂. It’s op against other lightly armoured tanks. 50mm pen 1600 HE clip in less than FOUR seconds is absurd. So far my record is only full-clipping a 1000 hp T92.
@@RaceSmokie that's in niche scenarios. That's like saying the shtpk tvp 100 is ultra op because it can do 5000+ damage a minute with HE only. The blesk the tech tree counterpart to this tank does more dpm with HE than the squall.

I keep the Cz lights for the crit hit daily , HE rounds work like a charm.
The HE doesn't crit on the czech lights.
@@OlujaDoTokija Well I got my 7 crits in one battle daily yesterday by strafing a bunch of heavies. Maybe the burst hit all their tracks , but so far the easiest I've gotten one of those.

If WG would change it so it wouldent be so easy to reach tier 10, it might save the game.. Lets ssay you MUST reach a sertain skill level % before you can level up... It is getting pretty damn frustrating to play, it can be 9 stock players in a tier 10 game WTF

This one stinks lol. I’m a light tank player and it just can’t compete with spotting from elc even 90s, which you will almost ALWAYS face
@@MrPandito imo this one stinks at being a light tank the same way Super Pershing stinks at being a medium (although Squall is better at spotting than Sup Pershing is at being a medium)
WG doesn't introduce new classes for every new vehicle, it's bound to be inaccurate at times
Squall seems to be more of a light assassin. You can do some spotting if you have to, bit you really want to be looking for

Since wargaming started adding BRRT tonks in the game, I wonder if they would risk it for the biskit, to bring the real BRRRT in the game (aka, invent a tank with the GAU-8 avenger gun). I doubt they could fir that monster in a turret, but what about a T-95 or E3 modified to use that super clapper gun?
We have a tier ten on console with a minigun, then we have a patton in the Cold War game mode with the gau 8 itself. Both are extremely toxic.
