The kV3 and KV-1S were both tier 6s that split from the KV/KV2 at tier 5, both then led to the IS. Originally the KV3 was op (then nerfed) then the KV-1S became op. That was a long time ago though =)

I've seen a similar situation before back in 2021 where I was grinding my Ferdinand and during a duel with the KV-4, they instantly disappeared in front of me and would always spot me whenever I go to where they were last spotted. After that, they appeared as "player" and 14 players were on the match report. Somehow I remembered their IGN and next thing I knew when I searched their IGN on the wargaming website, the player could not be found. Which led me to believed that they were banned for some reason. Freaky stuff.
Makes sense actually - yoinked from existence mid-battle. All the game knows is there had been a tank there, but they're turning up a "missingno" when asking who it was.

EBR player has almost 10k battle in EBR105 43% wr in it and nearly 80k battles with 46.5% wr overall. Been playing 10 years and last battle according to WoT was today at 13:53. Very strange happenings.
@@Candesce im pretty certain the guy is a bot, the more you take a look at his profile the weirder it gets, every session he plays is very bad which is something a bot would have, his stats account, tank and battle wise are bad, and he has over 10k battles in the ebr with only 2.8 average spots? and the premium/reward tanks he has are really old aswell like the MTLS or the MKA, and in the last 60 days he has played 1332 battles which is top 3.39% of the entire EU population and i find it pretty insane, if you play 1332 battles and youre not atleast green in stats then theres definetly something wrong, but on all the other stats he is in the 90th percentile of the entire EU population. also the more battles he plays the more his WN8 drops so either this guy is an extremely bad nolifer or a bot no in between, and as i was writting this comment he was online an hour ago.
The EBR bug is something. The strangest bug that occured to me was when all players from one team were dead, but the match didn´t finish until the base cap.
The KV-3 did used to be a tier 6 heavy alongside the original KV-1S. It was a choice between either tank for going through the old IS-7 line, both sporting 122s, then the IS-4 got moved to tier 10 and got its own line, moving the KV-3 to that line and made it tier 7.
Makes me very happy to see these grousers in use! A very underestimated piece of equipment, especially in a mobility slot. I like those sentimental videos, browsing through years of experience and all :)
If my mind is working fine, then the USSR tech tree back in the days was KV - KV 3 - IS - IS 3- IS 4 - IS 7. Then they splitted the tech tree, and KV-1S replaced the KV-3, KV 3 moved up to tier 7 in the IS-4 tech tree.
Hey QB, in case you are interested: A lot of people playing WoT know enough rudimentary english to understand what you are trying to tell them in battle chat, but have no idea what "SPG" stands for. If you want to tell your team where arty is, it's better to just call it "arty" since there is an equivalent word in basically all other languages, whereas "spg" is specifially an english akronym, and unless someone is somehow further interested in military jargon beyond WoT they most likely won't be familiar with that...
@2:05 I found on the Asia server of worldoftanks: a screenshot of the Soviet tech tree from 2018 July. This was right before double barrels were added and after IS-4 and IS-7 were adjusted to have more logical tier structures. In 2018 you still had to pick a lane starting at tier II but you had opportunities in later tiers to move, say from medium line to heavy line. T-28 (Tier IV) was the usual precursor for heavies. KV-1 (tier V) lead on laterally to the KV-1S (tier V, I think this was different before 2018, aka a nerf) and then from the KV-1S (tier V) that lead onto KV-85 (tier VI). Or you could go KV-1 to T-150 (tier VI) or KV-2 (tier VI). Interestingly that you had to pick the T-150 to continue down heavies (to then get KV-3 at tier VII). If you wanted the IS (tier VII) you had two choices but most players went KV-1, KV-1S, KV-85 (tier VI), then to the IS. Lastly there was the medium line that branched into the heavy line. T-34 to A-43 (tier VI), instead of the A-44, you selected KV-13 and then did the lateral buy into the IS (tier VII). Sadly both systems are flawed. Certainly it was more busy work when you had to go down a certain low tier line to finally get to the desired Medium/Heavy line you want to try.

EBRs wheels were still “turning” when it was sitting still, throwing dirt up and stuff, probably disconnected and the bug was that it didn’t actually remove them from the enemy’s team
Can't be a simple disconnect, because firstly a disconnect just simply does not remove the tank and secondly in the postgame stats it doesn't remove basically the existence of a player in a battle.
My younger brother had a game yesterday that after 1 minute said they won 30-1. It even made the end of the game sound and the hp bars were down to 0 for both teams. The match was still well on its way and it was a regular 15 vs 15 on mines. Strange things happening :p
That first IS-7 game is exactly why dont like heavily armored tanks. Their strong point is negated by gold ammo. Not very fun. So i rather take mobility.
Coming back to WOT after a 7 year break. Having moved from the city to the country, I had THE WORST internet connection EVER!. It was like Dial Up Modem speed from 1989. Things like this were a common problem and the reason I had to wait 7 tears for a connection I could play WOT with. Perhaps this guy has a lousy internet connection. Carry on.

For me the t54 was one of the most painful grinds ever. I was genuinely on the verge of selling it twice. The armor doesnt work, the gun is horrendous with terrible gun handling and low alpha, trash shell velocity, the mobility and dpm are mediocre as well....i got my worst winrate at tier 9 in it like 43% out of 30 or so games, while with a leopard pta i have 63% wins. The ONLY saving grace are the great HEAT shells. I skipped upgrading the tracks and engine tho but still. However i adore the object 140 so the grind was absolutely worth it. Had my longest winstreak in any tank yesterday with 12 straight wins.

well aware i 3 marked it just like most other 10s in the game, but that being said its basic and i enjoy others in the random queue, like the udes, e50m, carro, vz.55 (any 55-60 km/h with simi usable armor)

Then the KV-1S was nerfed and moved down to tier 5 with the KV-85 taking its place, and the KV-3 moved up to tier 7 with the T-150 taking its place, creating the line that leads to the IS-4 when the IS-4 was moved from 9 to 10, adding the IS-8 (now the T-10) at tier 9. This was also the update that split the original KV at tier 5 into 3 seperate tanks, the KV-1, the KV-2 and the T-150

It's not specific to Christmas, everyone is spamming gold in WoT nowadays because everyone is so lazy or stats hungry. Logically it should be the opposite around Christmas, more casual players that don't care about maximizing their performance by lowering the difficulty of the game. On my part, T34-85 was love at first sight like 9 years ago and it's still my favorite tank today (even more so with the T34-85M).
I have seen something similar like the ghost EBR but with other tanks 3 or 4 times in the last few weeks. Maybe WG gave them a ban as christmas gift 🎁as the accounts couldn't be found anymore.
That first is7 game is why I decided not to play wot anymore. 2 min in and the game was already lost. Players rushing and firing only gold. There's no strategy involved, no skill nothing, it's just rushing with the most op equipment possible, full pay to win consumables and crush a flank so that the game is over in 2-3 min.
Had a bug last night where my team list and map screen didn't disappear when I loaded in and started the battle. Had to altF4 and restart my client. Something is definitely broken. At least a little bit.
I might be a little old school as I played this game in 2013, but the first line of tanks I started back then was the USSR and IS-7 was my dream. I have the most battles on KV-1S with the 105mm howitzer. Came back to the game recently and manage to get to IS-3 and its pretty nice. That first is7 game is why I decided not to play wot anymore. 2 min in and the game was already lost. Players rushing and firing only gold. There's no strategy involved, no skill nothing, it's just rushing with the most op equipment possible, full pay to win consumables and crush a flank so that the game is over in 2-3 min.
T-54 stock is literally a worse tank than T-44 fully upgraded, might be why the T-54 has such poor win rate difference?

Had a bug last night where my team list and map screen didn't disappear when I loaded in and started the battle. Had to altF4 and restart my client. Something is definitely broken. At least a little bit.
For me the USSR standout at tier 7 is the A44
I might be a little old school as I played this game in 2013, but the first line of tanks I started back then was the USSR and IS-7 was my dream. I have the most battles on KV-1S with the 105mm howitzer. Came back to the game recently and manage to get to IS-3 and its pretty nice. Any recommandations for other fun line of tanks with an equally fun tier X? A TD would be cool. thanks

Hey QB! I'm a casual player who has two tier X's to my name, one of the being the Obj. 277. If you have time and you would like to do some good to an old fan could you make a video about it? I know it's not meta or anything, but I really like it and I want to play it better.
I mean, tier 7 mostly isn't a standout tier. T7-9 is one of the worst tier matchups imo.
Also, as for gold, I've been seeing it constly at t6 even.

yes and it isnt that legendary anymore and has lost its shine so to speak.
