It's great for me because I never watched The Office. I've never seen Breaking Bad or GOT either. I don't watch whole lot of TV or movies. I figured that because of I've seen I Love Lucy, Seinfeld and Lord of the Rings, I'm pretty much covered in the entertainment department 🙂
I have seen both The Office (multiple times) and this movie and I had no problem whatsoever with Krasinski's perfomance (really good too). I noticed the problem of seeing an actor as the character they portrayed in the past is more consistent in American audiences. Perhaps because entertainment is so ingrained in American culture, they have a hard time separating reality from fiction?
A perfect example of why actors fear getting involved in tv shows - some will never shake the character they played. This guy will always be Jim Halpert.
