Just imagine losing one of your compounds, finding out a US ambassador is dead, being outnumbered and shot at for 13 hours, losing some of your closest friends, while your life hangs on a thread, and than after all that, seeing a massive force, that you know you can’t beat, pull up to your front gate, locked and loaded, not knowing if they’re friend or foe, and than you throw up a peace signal that is most likely not going to work, you start thinking of everyone you love, all your past experiences, all your accomplishments, and your entire life, you then ready yourself for death, and by some miracle, they return the signal right back at you and the reality kicks in that you aren’t going to die this day. I can’t even *FATHOM* the amount of relief and satisfaction that, that one moment brought to the real Tanto back in 2012 when this really happened. It must’ve been gut wrenching to feel all those emotions at once.

He writes it with the help of the surviving members of that team.

Dont just pin everything on toxic masculinity. Its a buzz word to conflate and exacerbate a small probability of behavioural traits to gender traits. Plus the politicisation. Most soldiers know how to regulate: Supress fear, sorrow and complete loss of morale till the mission is over. And when they are being debriefed back in base after medevac and tending to their wounds and calling back their families, they will naturally tear. Its human and encouraged. There is no greater reason to tear a few manly tears when you are at your comrades funeral. *You are alive cause he is not.*

But the main reason why Ghadaffi was overthrown/labeled a bad guy was because, if I remember correct, he was trying to forge a new economy that would strengthen the country and breath life into it. Jobs, safety etc.

Yeah nothing about the awful Halo show is Schreiber's fault. It's terribly produced and written. Tbh, I think he's miscast as Chief too. He doesn't have the gravitas needed. But this isn't Schreiber's fault either, it's the producers and casting crew. Schreiber is incredible in 13 Hours because he plays to his strengths. He has the physicality to be a believeable soldier, but his character is more of a joker and funny-guy which suits the actor more. They let this character be the one to cry here at the end BECAUSE he's the heart of the team, and because Pablo has the acting chops to pull it off well. Pablo isn't the right fit for Chief, and the Halo show is garbage. But neither of these things are his fault and he excels when cast in the correct role by competent producers.

When all those technicals showed and vehicles showed up, I hadn’t read the full story so I didn’t know what was about to happen here, my heart was racing during this scene.

This film is incredible. One of the best films I have ever watched, the actions, the thrill, the emotion, its got it all and its amazing.

What they leave out... something tanto says in interviews is that was the convoy from earlier and they left to take out the mortars and that’s why the mortars stoped
