Thanks for the new episode. I am in the middle of project myself, and it is always a pleasure to follow others that are on the same journey towards being better restorer...
Hey mate, thanks for the support. 80% of the reason im doing this build is to learn new skills, the finished car at the end is just a bonus. Although sometimes it can be frustrating, im loving the journey so far. Good luck with your build, i'll be sure tune in!
Yes, learning new skills is the point. My weaknes is welding, i don't know is it the machine, or plain lack of skills, but i struggle big time with continuous welds....😂
Great start, you may want to do some (a bunch) of welding experiments/practice on some of the scrap metal you're not utilizing for the build. Trying out different welder settings as well as holding the mig gun at different angles, checking for penetration. All machines are different and getting a solid feel can really speed things up as you are probably learning a lot each time. Best regards and I enjoy your episodes!
Hey mate, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. For sure practice makes perfect. I have been playing around with a lot of the settings to see what works best. I think my biggest issue at the moment is being too scared to hold the trigger too long haha im working on that. Each time i pick up the welder, i can see improvements, and it's something I've always wanted to learn. Thanks again for the support!
I know you want to do this build, but I think you need to find a friend or enemy to give you some hands on help, let him direct you and then you try.but if you even have to pay someone,I think it would be very beneficial for you,for getting some more experience and not questioning your abilities good video, just carry on.👍👍👍😎😎😎this is just my opinion.
Hey mate, yes there are definitely times i wish i had someone there telling me what im doing wrong...which is most of the time haha Although I do want to do most of the build myself, I am going to get some of the tricky stuff done by the professionals and will be asking them alot of questions. Thanks again for the support!
