As a longtime Charger fan, I have the most respect for this man and his unbelievable knowledge of the game, players both past and present and that he's never lost a game due to being unprepared or underestimating the opponent. I remember he was talking about the Chargers on an upcoming game years ago and he mentioned Sproles who at the time had just made the 53 man roster by the very last cut and I remember because I saw how great Sproles had played in preseason games and was happy he made the team. I was shocked at how he studied every team and knew every player. God bless him. He's a living legend.👍🙏 would love to meet him and shake his hand someday.
I know the team is struggling right now, but I honestly don't understand the witch hunt on Bill after delivering at such a high level for so many years.
It's because he built the team we are watching right now and have been for four years. It's not even just that, it's the length of time post-Brady and there is no identity and no plan. When you look at this team, do you see anything that gives you hope for the future outside of maybe Gonzalez? No core players at any position, and Bill appears to be struggling to even put a competitive team on the field. Face it, he's almost 72. Do you really want to do a full rebuild with a coach that age? The success was great, but all good things comes to an end.
@@georgen5882 Well, there is a lot of truth in what you say for sure. Particularily the insight in terms of a long term development scheme. Thank you for the thoughtful reply.
It was also that he pushed Brady out the back door. He wanted it to be all about him.... well it's about him now and he sees what happens when doesn't have GOAT back there at QB.
There already was another, Don Shula. Shula has more wins with a higher winning percentage and went to multiple Super Bowls with different QBs, including back-up QBs. Belichick only had 2 winning seasons in 10 years without Brady and has a career record of 68-90 without him. Had Brady not come along, he would've been demoted back down to Defensive Coordinator before the 2001 season started.
U can tell Bill knows it's over...his Era those legends he played with its OK old man u can have fun now...God let u your generation win many championships as good as Bill is with the frozen emotions imo I think he knows deep down its time for him to lighten up and hang it up.
I feel like as Bill’s career is winding down, he’s actually allowing himself to get some enjoyment out of these mostly predictable, boring, and sometimes stupid press conferences. Nice to see him smile and kid around a little bit. Just a little…. 😉
@@chukukaogude5894that argument is invalid because Bellicheck is the one who decides on the players on the Patriots team so the lack of talent there is on him
@@chukukaogude5894 Bill has final say on ALL personnel. That includes players AND coaches. So, this team being 2-8 at the moment, is 100% on him. If you want to throw a bit of the blame at Kraft for being CHEAP, I won't argue. But, overall, this team is the DIRECT result of Bill's decisions. There simply is no one else to blame but HIM. Anyone who can't see that is not living in reality.
Oh yeah…the fans in NEW ENGLAND will know in preseason game 1 THEY MADE A HUGE MISTAKE, GUARANTEED….and I dont care what it looks like or their record….

It'll be great to hear all of BB's stories when he retires from coaching & has time to tell them. Which hopefully won't be for a few more years. We need 1 more Patriots title with him at the helm.
Been a steelers fan since the 70s and there are only a handful of players i think the steelers made a mistake on by letting them go, vrable is one of them.
When Bill decides to participate in the interview: outstanding! I could listen to him talk ball for hours!
Totally agree- wish he would cut it loose and do more “real” interviews.
Very good interview.
Unfortunate that they cut him off in this clip.
Agreed! Him on that NFL network top 75 he was awesome
Bill was great in the NFL 100 series

If Brady didn’t takeover for drew when he did belichick would of got fired and remained a coordinator
Its because the problems we face are the same problems have said we have had for years (no real offensive threats) and he keeps refusing to address it
One of the best ever! There will never be another! And we will cherish what we had😊

You're a true defender if you take reps at both D line and free safety
Still riding with coach. In bill we trust forever
Bill just needs to be asked the right questions and he always gives the best answers.
That was a good question and now it's on to the next interview,,,,

Popovich days
if Belichick was placed at another team. They are going to SB. Bucs had weapons all over the place. Their QB wasn't consistent until TB went there.

@@zachwhitlow4 Well unless he had 32 first round picks this year, to change his whole team I don't think it is.

A rare smile…
This is the most smiling I’ve ever seen

Does he know he was mic'd? Surreal.
That’s the coach of coaching right there . If Brady had Him in Tampa the Rams would not have took Tampa out and Brady would have 8 rings and Bill 9 !

one last run tom brady do it next yr!!
Tom would get rocked by that mediocre Pats o line. That o line might be the worse than Barry Sanders o line in Detroit

Gonzalez Susan White Melissa Johnson Margaret
Thinking back to the good ole days cuz his coaching abilities are EXPOSED now.
His lack of a qb is exposed, nothing else. NO OFFENSE is really tough on the greatest of defenses.
If Kraft let him keep Garapolo then they could have had a decent QB pending drafting the next Franchise QB.
and you are exposed ... dumb
