@14:08 the chat that the Seattle defense needed at the end of the SB. A lot of people forget that Butlers pick didn't end the game.... Pats still had to run the ball, Tom couldn't take a kneeldown in the endzone. Instead they get the easy 5 yard penalty getting Bennett to jump.
They would not have been in that situation if Hightower had tackled Butler in the end zone, but he almost knocked the ball out. Can’t fault Butler for not knowing everything about the situation in that second, but Hightower was aware.
That Zeus he was talking about had his career ended because an idiot ref threw a flag with a led weight into his mask and hit one of his eyes. The league fined him for knocking the ref down, Im not sure if he ever got the maybe 50m he would have earned as a dominant tackle.

He remained with the team until being released in March 2006.[3] Following his retirement, Brown retained ties with the Ravens and mentored players. A great leader posses a clear vision, is courageous, has integrity, honesty, humility and clear focus. ... Great leaders help people reach their goals, are not afraid to hire people that might be better than them and take pride in the accomplishments of those they help along the way. This man is a leader.
The man’s a teacher. Sometimes it takes tough love, and sometimes they need positive reinforcement. Bill knows how to give them both. And he just knows how to explain little technical details that can give a player the edge they need on Sunday.
This is literally the most riveting sports television in sports since the last dance. Out of all the legendary coaches bill by far gets the most hate. Especially after Brady left. And yet, he may be the most well rounded and sharpest general to ever grace any field or court. When you think of American coaches, it's hard to put him in second place. His command and plain speak is like every driven man's dream in a mentor. And he's funny too.
You didn't see him planting spies on the sidelines camera recording the opponent's defensive signals, then deflating footballs, the league fined him $500k for his rules violations and what does that fool do? Since he wasn't getting much of his salary that year he lives at the Patriot's complex all year. Dude is strange and unreal, he lived off of Lawrence Taylor's good fortune in NY/NJ , his weird a## got the hell out of NY when he was given the Jets hc job.
I've coached for years, this GUY is legit!! It's all about getting the utmost from those guys who are in your command ✨. Love the sport, the competition, and the feeling of success 🙌.
It's easy when you illegally camcord from a spy on the sideline who's stealing the opposing teams defensive signals; that's how they beat Rams & Panthers ever heard of Spygate won a couple with deflated footballs, Seattle and Atlanta gifted the Patties two SBs, you see how Giants and Eagle's handled them.
11:07 Bill with his son there is super interesting to see. It's like a side of him that we've never witnessed before and sheds more light on how he is as a person. When it all boils down to it, he is just one of those classic hard-ass dads who wants their kids (both his biological and football team sons) to succeed/win lol. There's very few coaches who've allowed as much access for NFL Films to their operation, practices etc. than Bill B. The very first A Football Life documentary (which is now on it's 9th season) followed Bill B for the entire 2009 season.
He literally said he's only doing it to let his mother know he's doing school work ... you thinking too deep
Imagine having this man as a grandfather all those great stories you get to hear
First time I've ever listened extensively to Belichik mic'd up.I understand why he's been successful for so long.He knows and understands the game in every area he addresses his players in and never ceases to lead them. His criticisms are apt and yet genuine. He knows he's mic'd and yet never seems to be phony.
He's the cringes creepy cheating coach ever if not he's close. Spygate, camcording the opponent's defensive signals. Deflated footballs, he was fined $500k for his discrepancies(cheating) and what that fool do? Since he wasn't getting much of his salaries, he stayed at the Patriots complex
Could've watched another hour of this. God, this guy gets me fired up.
6:49 I laugh at that exchange every time.
"Damn."
god, this man thinks of every situation. smart dude
the greatest mind to ever coach this game. its almost shocking how brutally honest he is during practice. trully the perfect guy to forge brady into the player he is today.
Perfect example of why multiple guys have said Belichick is more a players' coach than people realize. Van Noy, Revis, and I think Blount all said this
Yeah a lot of guys say he is a players coach. He has a lot of players return after leaving. He is a guy most like. Once you understand how he is making you better and helping your $ you will rather be there. Chips carry weight more than numbers.
Bill talking about his dad to his son is awesome. Makes me think about my dad and grandpa
11:08
Both his sons are on the staff now too
I wondered if he was named after his godfather.
@@seanpyne1236 His older son Stephen was a high school coach too.
Oh man I still tear up thinking about that perfect season. Crushing even we have 6 more to appreciate, I can’t help but want that one back
As a diehard giant fan who lives in NY ..we partied hard at that parade 🎉😂
They waited to late to try to get Randy Moss involved, Brady was trying to get Edelman and Welker the ball, by halftime Randy Moss should've had 12 passes thrown to him catching ten of those for 100yds and maybe a td or two
5:29 Kraft "Is this your favorite team?" Belichick "These guys are good" SHUT DOWN KRAFT
Him telling ocho Cinco he could take the night off is priceless.
One of the main takeaways from this: Attention To Detail
Attention to detail during preparation so that when situations come up, you’ve already thought of them and can just do your job. Rarely/never do you see Patriots players stopping to think before they act. They’ve always thought about the situation before it comes up. That slow rolling onside kick the Cowboys recovered against Atlanta? Never happening against a Patriots team.
Attention to detail
Know the situation
Do your job
This is so amazing to watch I'd love a part 2 the genius of this man is unparalleled both on and off the field just looks at his press conferences
LOL seeing Chad Johnson slightly stirred after his interaction with Bill is my favourite clip. 'Ocho' was always beyond confident, and Bill tried his best to throw him off his game. Does anyone know Chad's final stat-line from this game? I'm curious.
7 months late but pretty sure he had over 100 yards with 1 td
Not true at all. It was a preseason game and Chris Henry (RIP) caught the TD. Ocho did kick the extra point though. Bengals win 7-6
I love how people say what a joy it was watching Brady and belitchec these 20 yrs. when a single play or season isn't what made them great it's 20 yrs later and there better than they were 20 yrs ago how is that possible maybe it's true there are aliens among us 😂
You'd hate me if you were a rookie but love me if you were a veteran -best quote from BB
Belichec is more like a Sensei than a coach!
He really is. He just has this presence about him that's unlike any other coach
I hope that by his retirement he gets every possible coaching award that they can hand out. It will be a sad day for for football when that time comes.

@@whoopsie890 Nick Saban has it.
"Don't get in a quickness game with him, cause you're not very quick." Bill is such a savage lol
If he sugar coated it they probably wouldn’t win as much.
That’s probably one of the mildest things he’s said. I’d laugh if I was the player he said that to. Lol
its amazing how the simplest of things still need to be coached at the professional level. as fans we assume the players know the game but this video proves otherwise. The offsides conversation was incredible. the defensive player really seemed confused..
This ALL started when I was 25....
Now i am 45...
When Viniateri put it through the uprights I didn't know what to do!
When the Pats beat the Rams again 13-3 for the 6Th S.B. I realized how lucky I was to witness all of this as a Bostonian.

As a lifelong NYG fan, I'll love and appreciate Coach Bill B forever. The defenses that we had in the 80's and 90's were extremely enjoyable to watch. What Patriot's Coach Bill B has accomplished, (not done yet) qualifies him as one of the best ever. Who is The Best Ever kind of depends on how old of an NFL fan you are.
Great comment, Joe. You can tell how much he loves/admires the Giants organization. Cheers.
I actually can’t wait for this😂
Actually!?!?
SAME BRO LOL !
This is what true 100% sounds and looks like. Most people are barely touching 50% when they think it’s 100%. GOAT
Situations
They would not have been in that situation if Hightower had tackled Butler in the end zone, but he almost knocked the ball out. Can’t fault Butler for not knowing everything about the situation in that second, but Hightower was aware.
"Run something else, something else , something else, run it." Lol gotta love it
That Zeus he was talking about had his career ended because an idiot ref threw a flag with a led weight into his mask and hit one of his eyes. The league fined him for knocking the ref down, Im not sure if he ever got the maybe 50m he would have earned as a dominant tackle.
Orlando Brown Sr. He was at the time one of the highest paid tackles in the NFL now his son Orlando Jr is a RT for the Ravens, sad but great story
He did come back and have some good years, but you’re right he had his best years taken in the worst of ways. Good to see his son carrying on the legacy, for the same team even
Second stint with Ravens
Brown spent the 2001 and 2002 seasons in rehabilitation before he was picked back up by the Ravens in 2003. During the 2003 season, Brown started at both offensive and defensive tackle in a game against the Oakland Raiders. He remained with the team until being released in March 2006.[3] Following his retirement, Brown retained ties with the Ravens and mentored players.
In 2001, he sued the NFL for $200 million in damages. According to reports, he settled for a sum between $15 million and $25 million in 2002. He died in 2011...
You can't blame him for the reaction to the
Play, because of the
Injury to his face that
He sustained. He was
Incrediblely lucky to be
Able to resume his career.
@@bruceperkins7253 I don't blame him at all. If my comment came off like that, it wasn't the intention. The ref should have been suspended.
You can hate him all you want but he's the master general of these football men, just like a military general leading his men to war and he always gets the results from his guys.
Makes sense considering he grew up in a military family.
The best to ever do it
Absolutely.
FACTS, he's the GOAT
Maybe.
@@NicholasRodriguezN7 6-10 right after brady left lollolllll
Hes so god damn smart when it comes to football. It's weird seeing others trying to listen to his direction. I cant tell if they are quiet out of respect or out of surprise/confusion. Regardless, hes the best ever.
Belichek seems like a coach who barely gives out praise to his players but he does it's probably the best feeling to them
HELLA TRUE BRO THATS WHY HIS TEAM WORKS EVEN HARD FOR HIM JUST 2 HEAR THAT ONLY ONCE IN LIFE TIME PRAISE FROM THE GENERAL LOOL
Facts
This is literally the most riveting sports television in sports since the last dance. Out of all the legendary coaches bill by far gets the most hate. Especially after Brady left. And yet, he may be the most well rounded and sharpest general to ever grace any field or court. When you think of American coaches, it's hard to put him in second place. His command and plain speak is like every driven man's dream in a mentor. And he's funny too.
Gonna miss em now that he's gone. Smart coach
If there was ever a Hard Knocks with the Belichick and the Patriots it would be some of the greatest NFL film ever created
0:47-1:22 it’s surprisingly wholesome to see Bill being so genuine telling a story to one of the players, I’ve never seen this side of my coach before
You didn't see him planting spies on the sidelines camera recording the opponent's defensive signals, then deflating footballs, the league fined him $500k for his rules violations and what does that fool do? Since he wasn't getting much of his salary that year he lives at the Patriot's complex all year. Dude is strange and unreal, he lived off of Lawrence Taylor's good fortune in NY/NJ , his weird a## got the hell out of NY when he was given the Jets hc job.
@@aarondigby5054Sounds like you're just jealous that he's so alpha.
Love when he briefs the team on the Philadelphia parade. How dumb were they to release a parade route BEFORE they even played the game?
I think that's pretty common practice, actually. You have to plan for these things for more than a week in advance.

19:50 shoot man that’s a movie scene right there
We need more coaches like Bill. He said all he's really about is winning football games and he's shown that clearly

I coach basketball but I can honestly say a lot of coaches, including myself, can learn a lot from him just off of this video.

It humanizes him to a degree and that's just neat to see.
